Chapter 1

The world isn't what it used to be, the happiness, joy, and optimism that had once filled every corner of the earth are long gone, and the people no longer live as they did before.

It's a different day.

A new era. A new era where the dead roam and blood flow with souls all trapped inside the darkness of the world, it's a new era where the dead only rule, a new beginning where everything is ruled by death only

They call this ‘Death Age’, but many people prefer the term “Dead Era”.

A car drove into the scene into the lonely, quiet street covered in blood. As it parked beside the traffic pole. The car was covered in blood and broken glass, and there were bullet holes littered throughout the entire vehicle.

A bearded man alighted from the car with a gun in his hostler tied around his lap, as he unzipped peeing on the pole. “You know what's great about a zombie Apocalypse?”  he started as he zipped up his pants, “You get to kill everyone you hate without them knowing who did it or why they're dead!” the bearded man laughed, he picked up the gun and threw it down the road. He walked towards the front door of an apartment but paused for a moment. As he watched the sunset, “BALI!, get into the car now...we know it is extremely dangerous to roam at night ”

The whole floor started to tremble as crowds of Zombies started to run in their directions, their eyes glowed with hunger and thirst.

"Hurry!"

"Get in the car!"

"Go! GO!!!"

Immediately the car engine roared as it  sped down the road and out of sight leaving bloody footprints behind it

"This car has been modified," Bali said proudly as he looked over his shoulder. It was black, almost metallic, and had two bullet holes and some wires running through its body. A few pieces of paper had come from the roof.

Immediately a heavy force collided with the car causing the metal to shake violently.

"What the fuck?" Bali cursed as he tried to pull the steering wheel but failed due to the strong force knocking the vehicle to the left.

A group of zombies came running into view, Bali watched a zombie come close to him as a gunshot was heard with a bullet piercing through its skull. The zombie fell dead, and another bullet was shot busting into another zombie's brain. Immediately a man tied a rope around his waist jumping from the roof to the ground.

He pulled his arm back pulling a knife from his belt. As soon as he was close enough, he plunged his knife into the back of the first zombie-killing it quickly. As if they were made of butter Bali watched the man move through the crowd and kill a Zombie after a couple of seconds.

Bali turned around and saw the man standing still.

"Did we lose them?"

Bali nodded his head.

"Good."

Suddenly a loud sound of thunder shook the whole city.

"Well, that's the cue to get back into the car."

Bali nodded his head and opened the car door, he got in just as the rain began to pour pouring onto the windshield. Once he shut the door, the man got in the driver's seat and drove the car down the street as fast as he could.

The rain poured relentlessly as he continued driving king everything look like a horror movie. Bali looked at the man sitting across the console from him. He was very tall and muscular, the man's beard reached his chest, and his brown hair had grey streaks through it. He seemed like he was well respected, and Bali was slightly jealous of him.

The man turned to face him giving Bali a small smile. His lips were chapped and cracked.

“What’s your name?” the man asked breaking the silence between the two.

“Bali…” the man nodded his head taking in Bali’s appearance as if trying to remember something.

“Where do you work?” he questioned, but before he could even answer the man’s question, the rain had begun again pounding against the window. They both held up their guns as the car was suddenly hit by another violent gust of wind, sending the car flying forward. The man was thrown forwards from the sudden movement.

Both men grabbed the safety bars holding their seats up. Bali glanced at the other side and noticed a zombie hanging precariously from one of the rails above the roof. Its feet were dangling over the edge, its hands grasping desperately for purchase. Bali took out his pistol and aimed at the zombie. Without hesitation, he fired, blasting the zombie’s head off. The corpse fell screaming down the building as it slowly tumbled to the ground below. Bali turned to see the man looking at him confidently and with a smile.
