I ate a whole lot of food. 5 pieces of bread and 3 bowls of soup were gone inside my hungry stomach. And now I feel like my stomach is about to explode.

"If you have enough, come and do some work if you want a place to stay," the innkeeper suggested.

"Yeah, let's… let's go," I replied while dozing off.

When I was done eating and started to head towards the given work, I felt my legs and my arm muscles were in pain after carrying those two milk cans. 

But I had to do this work to secure a place to stay for the night.

"You have to do all these dishes, then after that, I will give you a place to sleep."

"Uh... OK, I will do it as soon as I can," I said to her while looking at the massive stack of dishes in front of me. And it will be no easy feat for me to wash this many dishes.

Besides the dishes, I see some pieces of equipment to wash them. 

I sat there and began washing the dishes, then another one and then another..., 

"whyyyy does it not end," I thought to myself as the stack of dishes kept piling up by the inn owner and not getting emptied. 

It felt like the inn owner wanted to collect each piece of extra serving she gave to me through this dish wash.

But I kept my patience and kept on washing the dishes. After the hard work of one and a half hours, the washing had come to an end.

"Finally..." I thought, at last, I could get some rest.

"So if you have completed your dishes, come with me, it may not be the best spot, but you can rest there."

The innkeeper took me to a room of the inn with a futon and a blanket.

"Here you go, all set!"

There were all kinds of things in that room. There was not a shred of space left. But she somehow made up some space by adjusting some things, and it got too congested. And for a tall guy like me, this room is too small. Then I looked at the inn owner with anticipation.

"What? With only that amount of money, this room is the most you can get." She said.

So, I felt like I was being scammed because the total was 75 Pero and I gave her 50 Pero, not only that I also washed a whole lot of dishes for this shithole… but I didn't care anymore because I just wanted a place to rest as I was too tired. So, I adjusted myself inside the room and just lay down on the futon.

"Yeah, It is perfect to sleep," I replied to the innkeeper with a fake smile.

"Good, you can rest for the night, but only for the night, and as the sun rises you have to take your stuff and be on your way."

"Yes, ma'am, I understand."

I was very exhausted as I lay down, but that place was too uncomfortable to get me any sleep. I saw a lot of things inside that room, like cleaning utensils, cooking utensils, and some other weird stuff. I think this is the inn storeroom.

I then somehow adjusted myself and tried to get some sleep. But still, no luck came my way.

Then I tried to think of everything that happened to me today. I most probably think that I have been reincarnated in this world. That is because there is no way this body of mine is a lost soul.

I now have a younger body than in my previous life with no signs of any side effects or illness. But I have the same face as my previous body, so I think my body growth may also be the same as the previous one. Maybe my body still grows the same way as my previous body.

I noticed one more thing, that not only do the people in this world speak the same language but they also write the same alphabet as in my previous world.

But there is one thing that is common in this world from my previous world and that is how hard life can suck when you have no money on you. 

The guild receptionist said that I am only a temporary member right now, and I can earn more money once I rank up.

Today, when I took the request from the guild, I only got 50 Pero for 3 hours of hard work.

She told me if I had to rank up I had to do 50 G-rank requests, 3 months of training, and then give a test. Not only that, the training costs 500 Pero a month.

I think 50 requests is not a bad thing as I can get basic knowledge of different things in this world by completing these quests.

The thing is, as I will be doing these quests I have to save a total of 500 Pero, keeping in mind that I have to pay for all my accommodation and food.

The 3-month training is important as my body is not yet suitable for combat. She also said the test is dangerous, so at least I need some training before that test. But saving 500 Pero is not going to be an easy task.

Nonetheless, I now have to make my body get adapted to this world so that I can make a living and survive here. And the only thing I need is my brain and my thinking ability.

I lifted my right hand in the air, opening the palm of my hand. Imagining the whole inside of it, then I gripped my hands tightly as I saw this life as an opportunity and the whole world inside my hands.

With a whole lot of passion in my heart and a bright shining light in my eyes, I thought of conquering everything that came my way.

While all that was going on inside my mind, my exhaustion came to its limit and I fell asleep.

A sudden layer of water splashed onto my face as I was deep asleep. 

I got up with a half-asleep face and looked around, then I saw the innkeeper. 

"Get up, sleepy head. I have much more work to do than waiting for you to wake up. Now, get out of my storeroom until you want one more bucket full of water on your face." She slams those beautiful morning words on my face and a basket full of water instead of good morning. I guess this is the start of the second day of my isekai life.

"Um... mam, can I at least get some water to clean up myself and my clothes?"

 "Yeah, there is a well outside of the inn. You can wash up there"

"And mam, is there a toilet around here?"

“Toilet? Yes, there is a public bathroom but it costs 5 Pero for one time you use it and I doubt a broke person like you can even afford that much.”

“...”

“Just go to the nearby farm and take some water with you. There you can do your stuff. ”

"Yeah, OK.... thank you for your consideration"

Then I go to the nearby well to get myself cleaned up and wash my clothes. Then I waited for about 30 minutes to get my clothes dry.

After some time, I took some water from the well and went to the nearby farm to release the pent-up pressure inside my stomach.

When I looked at the crops closely, I found that they were somewhat different. Their shape was different from crops in our world, they felt magical… The grain in the crops is the same but the only difference is the shape. I think it is about the process and the surrounding nature.

After releasing the pressure on the farm, I thought about what to do next as I headed inside the town. I don't know anyone else in this world aside from the old man Gandalf, but I shouldn't be a burden on him and figure out my problems on my own.

What I need the most right now is money and I think only the Adventurer Guild can help me with that matter. So, let's head towards the guild and ask them if there is a way to increase my income.

As I walk down the street I enter the market area. There I saw a stall selling fruits and vegetables. Then I thought of asking the fruit vendor the value of his fruit.

"How much does this apple cost?" I asked the fruit vendor.

"The apple costs 5 Pero per piece and if the size is big then it will be 7 Pero", he replied.

I think they don't have the concept of weight here.

"Oh, OK… thank you, I will come back later."

I was getting a little bit of an idea of currency values but still did not have the entire idea.

Then I walked away from the stall and headed toward the Adventurer guild.

After some time, I arrived at my destination and started to think about how this day would go and whether I would be able to make some earnings or not.
