After defeating the wolves, Toda sat to think of another possible scenario of where he was, he thought of possibilities, firstly, he could feel things, he could also smell and taste things, showing his five sensory organs are working, he was also sweating after the fight, and his injury wasn't closing up, he came to a conclusion that he was in a game, because the functions were similar to the programs he and his colleagues added to their game and he also wasn't in a game, because he could die with the tiniest of mistake.

Meanwhile, while he sat on the floor thinking, a set came to him, two young men and a lady, they seemed to be equipped, adventurers, they found Toda in his puzzled state and in front of him were the carcass of the monsters he defeated. The party came to him, "Hey, what happened here, you mean to tell me you took down, nocturnal predators and at that 'dark wolves' you are a very strong man." One of them said, the lady amongst them spoke out, "oh, you're bleeding, i would have cast a healing spell but I'm out of blessings." Toda could make out that they were the reason he got attacked, he spoke to them. "Sorry, but is there any other way to heal this injury, the pain is excruciating."

After he asked, the lady put her hands into a bag and brought out a vial, she told him it was holy water, she emptied the content on his injury and suddenly it closed up leaving no scars, he got a message, 'HP regenerating.' He saw the digits of his HP go up fast and then another message. 'HP fully restored, new passive skill acquired, common skill—self regen, when damage is dealt, HP will gradually increase.' Toda was shocked at his skill, he then asked the party where they were, and they told him they were at a place called 'Canoris Plains.' They explained to him that it was at the out skirts of the prime ministers fief and that monsters spawned there continuously for over a week, and ever since then adventurers have been working hard to slay them all, they asked Toda if he was an adventurer, he told them no, he was about to reveal his situation until he thought to himself, "they can't be players because we are still in the testing phase, but if they aren't players then they should be NPC, then i guess I'll just tell them I'm a sage in training." He looked to them and said he was a sage in training and that he was on his way to learn all kinds of skill to aid conflict resolution.

The other guy with them brought forward his hand to shake Toda, "i am Gaius von Henmer, son to the Prime Minister Julius von Henmer, I'm sorry for the discomfort i and my party caused you, in apology let me take on the responsibility of leading you to the fief of Henmer Dynasty, I'll also take care of your accommodation for the night." Toda froze after the young man gave his introduction, he did it in a polite way, he even bowed, his entourage told him not to embarrass himself, clearly a noble must never bow to a commoner, Gaius was a man on another level, he was the type people referred to as a beautiful man, he was 179cm tall, had a perfect face, blonde hair and ocean blue eyes, when Toda heard him speak he froze from hearing his deep yet soothing voice, initially Toda didn't notice his presence, he accepted the request, the lady then spoke, "not that i want to pry, but have you extracted the magistones from these monsters, because if you don't they'll come back as undead." She explained all he was supposed to do, apparently magistones are orb like crystal that are centred at the heart of monsters it's like their life force, and once a monster has been taken out if it's magistone isn't removed it becomes impure and turns undead, and to extract a magistone a deciphering spell is needed, she mentioned a few to him but he has only one, he walked up to the carcass, 'special skill— deciphering skill, BEMUSE, a skill that breaks down a body and regroup them in accordance to their respective types, this skill also absorbs usable parts for its user, skill cost 10CP. '

Toda smiled, stretched forth his hands, "use special skill—BEMUSE." What looked like a void vacuum sprung out of his hands and started swallowing up the carcass, all but one, the last one Toda took down, immediately the other two were swallowed up the skill cancelled and then the monster stood up, Toda immediately got a message, 'nocturnal predator evolved to undead predator.' A dark mist surround the wolf and then the mist clears, what seemed to look like a jackal the size if an elephant appeared, when Toda looked at the monster he could see that the monster had changed, then a message appeared on his window, 'Anubis lv20' Toda felt scared, he looked to the adventurers, they also looked scared out of their minds, he asked, "please, someone here tell me you have the means to take care of that creature, it looks very dangerous." They couldn't answer him and then suddenly, Gaius stretched forth his hands and worded out, "Zotan, Dragon lord of the Crimson Vertex, Son of the Blue flames, grant me your heat, devour my enemy's soul— Magma Blades come forth." And then an immense power leaked out, blue flames sprung out of his hands and as the flames cleared, a katana could be seen steaming hot, he swung the blade in the air and worded 'common skill— Retribution.' Barrage waves of blue flames hit the Anubis continuously and then Gaius looked to them and told them to run, "hey, you guys make a run for it, i can't hold him back much longer, run now." His party pulled Toda and asked him to run, Toda felt the need to help and so he repelled and called out his sword.

He sprinted towards Gaius, the other's also took out their staff, and insisted that they fight, Gaius tried to sway them, but Toda insisted saying he'd die if he took the Anubis on alone, Gaius accepted and then a message popped up on Toda's window, 'Temporal party formed, main objective — slay the Soul Guardian' Toda then asked Gaius what his strongest attacks were, Gaius gave him three of which two were long ranged and the other was short ranged, but they weren't enough to end it, toda on the other hand has an attack which could try killing it, but he wasn't sure if the skill could deliver in a time like this, he opened his skill menu and then he selected the lightening blade skill, he had only unlocked two out of nine, he selected the other skill, 'lightening blade, third attack, Decapitating slash, a kendo skill that enhances the sword skill and cuts through all walls, the skill works well with the editors skill—Impact scale. At the mention of editors skill he rushed to the upgrade tab, he remembered seeing an editor skill, he immediately upgraded the skill with 20CP and said to the rest, "we might have a shot at taking it down, we have two chances and those are the only chance we'll have, by the looks of things, you both are mages, which means you're vital parts, you'll be our ultimate decoy, I want you attacking it from both the east and west angle, which means you'll be apart, and I'll run towards it while it's been distracted, once i take a clean shot, Gaius, use one big Retribution to take it down, if the first doesn't work we'll try again."

The two mages went apart in their respective directions, leaving Gaius and toda at the centre of attraction, the jackal rushed towards them both and just as it was about to attack, the two mages started their attacks, the jackal became confused not knowing who to attack, it looked towards Gaius and toda and suddenly toda worded out, "use common skill—Accelerate." He became too fast for the Anubis to spot and then while the Anubis was trying to spot his location he sprung up and worded, "unique skill— lightening blade, third attack, Decapitating slash, combo skill, editors skill—impact scale, 40%, consume of 25cp." After those words he slashed down, immediately he landed, Gaius shouted out, "Here is your judgement, RETRIBUTION." He slashed one big wave of blue flame at the spot where toda attacked it immediately the head fell off, toda fell to his feet and while Gaius was coming to him the Anubis attacked again, it almost hit, toda but then one of the mages cast protective barrier on him, the Anubis leaped backwards, immediately the other three thought out, 'this was why he said we had two chances.' Toda looked towards them all and nodded his head, they understood it was his way of saying second chance, while he was getting up, Gaius shouted to him that once they take it down he should take the spoils, they started the second attack, they went with the same tactics, but this time when toda sprung up he thought in his mind, 'I'm almost out of cp, but this last attack should do, I'll use 42% percent impact scale. ' Toda strike at the centre of the Anubis damaging its heart and ripping it open with decapitating slash, immediately Gaius sent his retribution, breaking the core once toda spotted the magistone he knew it was defeated, while still in the air he use Bemuse and blacked out once the rest saw the Anubis was defeated they became at ease, Gaius went towards toda and suddenly smiled and worded out "wonderful."
