Summoning

Daemon and Celine left the dungeon together.

The quest item, the axe, which the giant goblin held, was taken by Celine because she is kind-hearted and she did not want those players to suffer too much penalty for failing the mission, which was likely triggered by the owner of the retail outlet.

Back then in his previous life, even when she was in the top 3 priests and the top 98 in the overall ranking, she didn't prove hard to get before becoming a member of his guild.

Daemon did not become a ranker back then, but because of the presence of Celine, who was a ranker, his guild became popular. The number of guild members he had was more than 300.

[You have cleared and exited a Rank E dungeon].

"Thanks!"

"No need to thank me," He gave his response expressionlessly. He wanted to leave when Celine stopped him to ask for his name.

"Daemon."

He told her his name.

"Can I send you a friend request, please?" She asked cheerfully.

"Sure, why not? It's a good thing to have the future top priest as a friend. " He replied with a smile, as it would be very simple in the future to obtain this beautiful priest as his guild's priest without having to be so polite like he did in his previous life.

He sent her his player ID; because virtually more than 500 players bear the same name, the game has made it simpler by using player IDs to send friend requests.

Celine felt kind of motivated by his words, and she smiled happily as both of them parted ways for their various places.

"The route to the head's house is several kilometers away from here and I need to be fast. I hope a... oh, thank God one is even coming, hey man."

Daemon saw a horse-led carriage moving in his direction. There were no passengers inside, meaning he could go to the community's head house without having to bother about other passengers stopping.

The driver was not an NPC, he was also a player like Daemon.

"Where to?"

"The community head house, what's the cost if I want to be the only passenger?"

"Um, 50 bronze coins."

"Ok."

As Daemon climbed onto the carriage, the rider made the horse start moving, and together they began hitting the road down to the community head's house.

Almost an hour later, Daemon and the carriage owner stopped at the front of the large wooden gate of the community head house.

He gave the dude his money, and the dude left, only a few tens of steps away from the community head office.

From where he was, he could see two guards standing on opposite sides of the gate.

Then he started walking towards them, but then he heard the Demon's voice in his head.

[A new quest has been triggered by the system.]

[Quest] Kill everyone in the community head house.

[The Evil Cultivation System inventory will be unlocked as a reward.]

[Penalty: Brain tumor.]

[Time limit: 7 hours.]

'Um? Did you get rid of them all?I can even gain a level after killing them, but I have to obtain the skill book before doing that.' He smiled as he walked to the guards.

"Why are you here?"

"I was sent by the church to deliver a prophecy to the community head about something very important."

"The church? Then why didn't they send a priest or a priestess with you? "

Daemon already knew that they would definitely ask him this question, so he already made up stories that would make the guards not doubt him.

"Actually we were three people sent by the church, but the other two were killed by goblins on our way here."

"Goblins!"

The guards let out surprised gasps. They did not hesitate anymore before opening the gate for him to enter.

"It seems the prophesy has something to do with why goblins are appearing recently. Yesterday a farmer was impaled and his bodiless head was hung on a raised stick. All his crops were eaten and the others were burnt to the ground."

Perhaps a war between goblins and humans will break out soon, as it appears that they are seeking vengeance for what happened seven years ago when we killed their king and exiled them.

The two guards discussed with surprised expressions while Daemon made his way to the penthouse, led by two soldiers armed with arrows.

The community head's house had gardens and ornamental plants grew there, giving it a serene vibe even when the main building itself had nothing much to talk about.

He was led to a penthouse at the side of the main building, which was surrounded by field grass.

"Master, he said he was sent by the church to deliver a prophecy to you."

"The church."

The community leader was an NPC in his early fifties, with white facial hair and a body that seemed to have the strength of a younger person as he sipped his tea and returned it to the small stool beside the chair he was sitting in.

He raised his hands, signaling the guards to leave while he had a private talk with the "Messenger of the church."

"I'll go straight to the point why I'm here; the technique book you took from a martial artist called Vuan, you have to summit it now."

"Vuan? How did you know of him and his technique book? "

From the looks of it, a great calamity awaits this community. "It has something to do with the prophesy and the invasion of goblins."

"Vuan is not your typical martial artist. His philosophy of martial arts is the one that doesn't consider the life of other humans and that technique is not just a martial arts technique but something that has to do with summoning."

"Summoning?"

The art of bringing fantasy beasts to existence through the use of magic was a class job that only one player could use in his previous life after completing a certain quest. It was a legendary class job that earned that player a lot of money and business engagements from many guilds.

"Yes, he could use that technique to summon not just beasts but also demons that are bloodthirsty."

"I guess that is why the church wants it. Please make it available. My time here is limited."

The community head wanted to hesitate, but after some time of thinking, he went into his house and came out with a glass box which had a red book inside of it.

"This is the book." He passed the book to Daemon, who took it.

[Vuan's quest is completed.]

The Daemon then stored the book inside his inventory and summoned out the mayhem sword.

Immediately, the village head saw it, and his eyes were wide open.

It seems like he could recognize the sword and the ominous power that came from it.

"The Mayhem sword!"

He cried out in shock.

Daemon did not wait for the old man to finish his surprise cry before he stabbed the sword straight into his chest and out of his back.

"What! "Who... are you?" was the last thing he said before the sword was pulled out of his chest, causing him to fall lifeless.

Daemon pulled the sword out of the chest of the community head, who fell lifeless afterwards.

Immediately, he fell down. Something appeared beside him. It was a gigantic red bear with a horn.

"I almost thought as such!"

Daemon snorted.
