In an old looking stone room , there was a huge table where many people were sitting around the table. A young man at the age of 15 was sitting in the middle at the far end of the table.

"Your Majesty we have been rationing the food to everyone according to the requirements you told us but the food won't last another month"

"Yes your Majesty, not only that the fishermen have been catching fish at night by lighting a fire but still we don't have enough food for everyone if the stock you bought is consumed at this rate."

This was the old caste in which Eugene was staying in Jola, these people were Sarah and her administrators. When he summoned all the professionals in the city to give jobs, he gave Sarah the job to gather all who can read and write to record food consumption and other stuff. He initially thought that they might be able to hold on with the food he bought till the potatoes grew but it seems that was his wishful thinking.

He searched the database with Aria and found that fishing at night with torches attractives fishes so he had all the fisherman do this which actually was fruitful but there are very few fishing boats and fishermen can't possibly feed everyone even if they fish whole night.

"I have a plan so don't worry let's move on to the next topic"

"Yes your Majesty" said one of the administrators

"I am Gray your Majesty I was assigned to the Blacksmiths to keep track of their production"

"Nice to meet you Mr.Grey so how is it going at the Blacksmiths Estate?"

"Your Majesty they have finished the first ever steam engine you asked them to make however it consumed all the iron the Blacksmiths can scrape from the city"

Even though we didn't have enough raw material we scraped all the iron we could to make a steam engine. Why? Because with a steam engine, I can now order the Blacksmiths to make weapons. These weapons are not cannons or guns, I don't have any material to make them.

What we are making is actually siege weapons with wood and leftover steel.We don't have enough wood so what we are going to do is tear down the unused houses and use that wood to make crossbows , Ballista , Catapult and Trebuchet. One should know that in this world the technology is the same as in the 10th century earth where everyone just fought with Swords , bows and spears. The idea of someone able to kill from hundreds of meters is just unimaginable to these people. So why did I need them to complete Steam Engine first? well We don't have enough blacksmiths, so what's the best way to make many weapons without much manpower? Just let the machines do the work.

"Good give them these designs and tell them I need it ready by the end of the month"

"Yes Your majesty"

I need these weapons fast , there are battleships sailing towards Jola which will arrive in 3 months time and we need to be ready to counter it. It's really good that Aria is there to warn me about stuff like this or else I would have not made the Steam Engine first , which would have resulted in all our deaths.

"Alright Guys let's start with the main topic then" I said

After the meeting was over I left straight to my room and slept on the bed.

"It's weird how fast I got used to this world and this new identity."

"It's true but still , I got so use to working like a maniac and planning , governing acting like a King and stuff"

"I see , anyway, don't you think bringing me to this world was a waste of time? I mean I don't know a single thing about Governing a City , I don't know a thing about fighting  or any other skill so it doesn't make sense to bring me to this world. I mean the so-called Administrator should have selected someone with an interesting personality rather than selecting me."

(That's true, Prime 5B already did that on other worlds but apparently it was not as entertaining as he thought it would be. So he thought he would select someone who can grow with time and make mistakes, correct them and face problems.)

"I see so he just wanted a useless person"

"Well I am , don't you see? The decisions I made were very half-assed. Nothing was planned properly, nothing happened like I thought it would. I asked them to eat from the stock That I bought from Ancorna while they were consuming it. I planned to plant potatoes which will grow by the time the stock finishes but well nothing goes as planned. Stock is finishing up , Potatoes have not grown yet , we are able to catch fish but it's not enough then there is the problem with not having enough material for clothes production. I didn't solve a single problem here, it just got postponed."

"All I did was give them half information or bad information which resulted in us going back to Square 1"

"That's what I am saying, I can't do anything on my own, I am just dependent on you!! There is nothing 'me' about this! All the changes done here were done by you, not me. There is no point in me being the King Here."

"Ah.. So it is possible , So let's think how did Ice was made before industrial revolution I don't think the Persians traded Ice from long distances so there must be a way , I know for a fact that Persians used to trade fish throughout their Empire"

I took a Parchment and started writing all the information from the database that I searched. Parchments are running out. I need to start making paper soon. I don't know what I need for that but there is nothing good old searching won't can't do.

Now the biggest problem is the invading Army. I know an army is coming whose I have no clue but nevertheless We need to be ready and for that we need to make a glass production line but before that I need fuel. We can run Steam Engine without coal and right now we are not trading with any Empire so even coal is very scarce here on Jola.

"Aria find a good Fuel source"

(There is a huge petroleum reservoir near the northern shore)

"Whattt!! Wait for a petroleum reservoir!! I thought you will say something like a coal mine or something but petroleum reservoirs works to I guess"

"But we will need time to transport petroleum here then purify it and stuff ha.. we don't have enough manpower for that"

"I guess I will come back to it afterwards right now I don't really need that much coal, we live in desert for god's sake"

(Yeah the amount of coal you have stored on the island can last constant consumption for 7 more months if nothing out of the ordinarily happened)

Well I guess we have a pretty busy life ahead.
