Damien and Gracie rushed Pheona to the hospital, and she was taken into the emergency room. Damien stood behind the door crying uncontrollably, Gracie called both Gabriel and Queenster to the hospital.

Minutes later, Queenster got to the hospital already crying. Gracie explained to them from when she left home to the market, and she came to meet her lying on the floor.

They tried to call Mr. Smith, but he wasn't answering, they gave up and just waited outside.

Suddenly they saw a stretcher move past them speedily with Gabriel lying on it covered in blood. They rushed to stop the nurses and inquired what is happening.

" A truck run into him" the nurses explained and rushed him into the operation theater.

They lost all hope and could do nothing but wait for feedback.

Pheona was given shocks, but it was too late, and she couldn't make it. The nurses covered her up as the doctor came out looking composed in order not to scare them too much as she saw they were all kids except for the middle age woman with them, Gracie.

As soon as the doctor came out, Damien and then others rushed to him

"Doctor, how's our mum? Can we see her? Doctor say something?" Damien bombarded the doctor with questions as they all waited for the doctor's reply.

"Young man calms down," the doctor said.

"Can you talk already you're scaring us" Gracie chipped in

"We tried all we could, but I'm sorry we lost her" the doctor broke the news to them

"What did you say? No mother can't leave us just yet, not now that we need her the most. Doctor, you need to do something, anything at all to bring our mother back please"Damien wailed, grabbing the collar of the doctor very tight.

Queenster cried loudly as Gracie tried her best to suppress her tears to console her.

"Are you the family of the patient in ward 6?" another doctor asked.

"Yes we are" Queenster rushed her words

" I'm sorry we lost him too," the doctor said

Damien staggered back in shock, sitting on the floor and staring into space. The nurses and other doctors supported Queenster who fainted instantly as a result of the shock, Damien rest his head on the wall crying bitterly.

His mum meant a lot to him and losing her was as though he has lost his life. The doctors attended to Queenster, and she gained consciousness, although she looked pale and a mess as a result of the excess crying.

The kids insisted on seeing their mother, so Gracie guided the kids into Pheona's ward, they stood beside the bed motionless as they continued crying. Damien took off the white cloth covering her from her face with shaky hands, Gary walked in with Nora by his side and froze the moment he saw Pheona on the bed with the white cloth covering her.

"Is that Pheona? oh my God!" Nora exclaimed, feigning concern.

She began shedding crocodile tears which got Damien and Queenster pissed because of her behavior. Nora was beyond excited to see Pheona out of her way with Gabriel as a bonus, she just had to push a few buttons and finally, she will get to enjoy the life she had dreamed of for ages.

Damien wiped away his tears and dragged himself to where Gary and Nora were standing

" Are you happy now? This is what you wanted right? She's gone now, forever" he said, smiling bitterly as he directed the question to the both of them.

" What are you saying, kid? Pheona used to be my best friend, so you can't tell me that nonsense!" Nora said feigning anger.

" The same best friend whose home you ruined, right? I'm sure you killed my mother! Just leave with your pathetic self already!" Damien pressed on getting angry already.

The doctor and nurses convinced Gary to leave as his presence is making Damien create a scene. Gary left with Nora who couldn't stop glaring at Damien following behind. The doctor called Gracie to his office and explained to her what caused Pheona's sudden attack

"... she inhaled a strong scent that's why her illness got triggered"the doctor concluded.

Gracie reminisced on the whole incident, and she realized when she was leaving the house, Nora was in the house, but she came to meet Pheona lying on the floor with Nora nowhere to be found in the house.

Gracie informed the kids about what the doctor told her, Damien couldn't believe his ears learning Nora killed his mother. They made arrangements for the dead bodies to be buried.

***One week after the burial***

Gary broke the news of his plan to get married to Nora very soon to his kids. Queenster looked at her father with shock written all over her face.

"Wow, impressive, you prepare for your wedding one week after your wife's burial. Can't you at least give her respect even though she's no more?"Damien commented earning a glare from Nora.

" This is for your good kids, you need a mother figure to fill in Pheona's space in your life" Gary argued.

"We'll rather stay on our own and suffer than have this murderer as my mum!" Damien barked, he walked out of the house with the motive of not returning anytime soon and Queenster also left to her room.

"Looks like I have an unfinished business here. These little brats want to hinder my dreams. I need to get rid of them as well" Nora thought evilly and smirked.

"Don't worry they'll come around" she assured Gary who was looking guilty about his kids' behavior.

"Gary, Queenster is still in college right? So how about you send her to the States to continue her studies over there?" she suggested

"What are you saying, Nora? You and I know I've no relatives there, no friends at all. So how do you expect me to send my daughter to that kinda place?" Gary fumed

"Calm down Gary that's why I'm here for you. I've got a cousin there and I promise her safety with her" she said trying her possible best to convince him.

Gary felt uneasy with this idea but Nora's continuous persistence made him give in to her suggestion.

"Thank you so much and not to worry I've got everything under control, her visa, papers and everything is ready" she squealed excitedly.

"Wait, did you plan all this before informing me?" Gary inquired

"It was supposed to be a surprise for Queenster" she quickly replied

Gary was so happy realizing that Nora has good plans for his kids. He had no idea she had a motive behind what she just made him agree to. Gary sent for Queenster and broke the news to her.

" What!! I don't want to go anywhere. I'm okay with Bliss college!"Queenster protested.

"You're going to the States and that's final!"Gary ordered.

Queenster rushed to her room in tears slamming the door closed.

The next day, her father helped her prepare her things to go to the airport with Nora who couldn't stop grinning secretly. When they sat in the car, Queenster kept looking out the window for any sign of Damien, the only person she hoped can save her.

Gracie on the other hand was hiding in a corner crying silently as Queenster was taken away. She happened to have overheard Nora discussing Queenster's departure with Gary, she tried calling Damien, but he didn't pick up, so she just left a voicemail for him. Her cries increased when the car zoomed off. Queenster started tearing up as she saw all hope was lost.

***At the airport***

They got to the airport and Nora handed her to Laura, a good friend of hers who is also her accomplice in all her crimes.

Queenster was exhausted at the time, but she was just looking at them with an expressionless face. Laura took Queenster's bags from Gary and assured him that Queenster was safe. Gary hugged his daughter, but she did not return it as she was lost in thoughts.

Nora persuaded Gary to leave for a long time, and he accepted with reservations. Laura pulled Queenster to the airplane, and they took off.

***At the airport in the United States***

Laura notified Gary of the safe landing of their plane when she was ready to leave.

When they came out of the airport, Laura realized that Queenster was following her. Queenster stopped, regardless of whether she liked it or not.

"Why are you following me so much, young lady? Where do you think you are going?"

Queenster was shocked when Laura looked at her with a glare.

"I thought Nora said I was going to stay with you as I'm here, so I'm going anywhere you're going to" Queenster scoffed.

" Wow, what an attitude. But let me tell you this sweetheart, I'm not your guardian and would never be and besides Nora is not my cousin, so there's no need for me to take you along with me, she's just a friend I'm helping. My job was just to bring you here and leave you to your fate which I think I've done already. So news flash princess, you're on your own at this point. I'm off, enjoy your stay here and be safe" Laura smirked enjoying the shocked look she saw on Queenster's face, and walked away leaving her all by herself.

Queenster couldn't believe her eyes as she gradually tried to comprehend what just happened. She realized this was her fate now, she called on Laura to have pity on her and take her along with her, but she just snubbed her stopped a car, and boozed off.

She rushed to her luggage in search of her phone, little did she know Nora took it out when she was not looking.

It suddenly dawns on her that, she is stuck there forever with no one to help her. She squatted at a corner and began crying once again feeling dejected.

***At Italy, the Smiths mansion***

Damien came home after a week and met his father and so-called stepmother in the living room having some fun together watching a movie with some snacks.

He ignored them and went upstairs, he went to his room and freshen up. He remembered he bought a gift for Queenster to apologize for leaving her all by herself with those two devils, he took the present and opened his door heading to Queenster's room, he got there and knocked but got no response, he tried opening it but found it locked.

"Baby sis I'm sorry please open up it's me your Damien. Please, don't get mad at me, I just needed to clear my head for a while. I promise never to leave you all by yourself anymore I'm back for you" he tried explaining to persuade her to open the door as he assumed she had locked the door on purpose.

He kept banging on the door, but there was still no response which felt strange because the Queenster he knows would open the door as soon as she hears his voice.

He searched the whole house, but she was nowhere to be found. Gracie met him in the parlor and went up to him seeing how restless he looked. He started meeting Gracie as he saw her walking up to him.

." Gracie, where's Queenster? I've searched the whole house, but I can't find her?" he questioned, she burst into tears as soon as he made mention of Queenster.

" What's wrong, why are you crying? I just asked you where's my sister. Did anything happen to her when I was away? Gracie talk to me?"Damien asked as he began to panic.

"Nora ...convinced your dad to send ....her to the States" she hiccuped.

Damien couldn't believe his ears, he rushed down the stairs and met his father and stepmother still in the position he left them, he walked up to them and turned off the television.

" What did you two do to my sister, where did you take her to? Are you that heartless? After all, you did to us, you still went ahead to send your only daughter away" Damien yelled in anger as tears trickle down his face.

"You know what? , I've realized you don't need us that's why you're getting rid of us one after the other. So don't worry I'll make this simple for you, I'm leaving since you've taken away my last source of joy. Happy married life, enjoy your life, and never hope to see me ever again because it's not going to be possible. Goodbye, Mr. Gary Smith" he said with grief.

His words hit Gary so hard that he suddenly became dumb, too shocked to say a word, the son he knows will never call him by his name no matter what.

Nora was beyond excited to hear that from him as she expected him to be a hard nut to crack. Gary fell on the sofa heavily as he felt immense pain from within.

Gracie met him while he was leaving the house and tried convincing him, but he refused and head out, leaving with nothing.
