Chapter 1: Ring of Blood
Kelvin's Pov
The sound hit me first.
A low, rhythmic moan, punctuated by the creak of bedsprings. It seeps through the door, sharp and unmistakable. My hand freezes on the doorknob, the text message still glowing on my phone screen
“Come over tonight. I’m ready for you.”
My heart, which had been pounding with anticipation, now thuds with something else. Dread. Disbelief. The kind of sickening realization that twists your stomach into knots.
I push the door open.
The scene is a punch to the gut. Mary, my Mary, is tangled in the sheets with Justin. Her bare shoulders glisten with sweat, her hair a wild mess. Justin, shirtless and smirking, looks up lazily as if he’d been expecting this.
“Oh, look,” Justin drawls, his voice dripping with mockery. “The clown’s here. Right on time.”
Mary’s eyes widen for a split second, but then she relaxes, leaning back against the headboard like this is nothing. Like I am nothing.
“Kelvin,” she says, her voice cold and detached. “You weren’t supposed to see this.”
My mouth goes dry. My fists clench at my sides, nails digging into my palms. “You… you texted me. You said”
Justin bursts out laughing, a harsh, annoying sound. “Oh, that? Yeah, that was me. I thought it would be fun to see your pathetic face when you walked in. And damn, it was worth it.”
Mary smirks, running a hand through her hair. “You thought I’d sleep with you? ..You?”
The words hit me like a slap. I stagger back, my mind racing. This can’t be real. This can’t be the same Mary who’d clung to me when she was sick, who’d cried in my arms after her leukemia diagnosis. The same Mary I’d given my bone marrow for, risking my health to save hers.
“Why?” I choke out, my voice breaking. “After everything I did for you”
“Oh, please,” Mary interrupts, rolling her eyes. “Don’t act like you did me some huge favor. I needed your bone marrow, and you were dumb enough to give it to me. That’s all this ever was to it.”
I feel like the ground has been ripped out from under me. “You… you used me Mary?”
Justin snorts. “Wow, you’re even slower than I thought. Yeah, dumbass, she used you. You were just a means to an end. And now that she’s healthy, you’re useless. A nobody. An orphan.”
The word hits me like a knife to the chest. I rarely talk about being an orphan. It’s my deepest pain, my most guarded secret. I’d only ever told Mary. And now she’s weaponized it, handed it to Justin like a trophy.
“You told him?” I whisper, my voice trembling.
Mary shrugs, her expression bored. “It’s not like it’s a big deal. Everyone’s got a sob story. Yours just happens to be extra pathetic.”
Justin laughs again, a cruel, annoying sound. “Yeah, no mommy, no daddy, no siblings, no family. Just you, all alone in the world. No wonder Mary picked me. Who’d want a loser like you?”
My vision blurs with rage. I lunge towards Justin with the intent to punch, my fists swinging. But I’m still weak from the bone marrow donation, and my body has not fully recovered. Justin dodges easily, landing a brutal punch to my jaw.
The room spins. I hit the floor, pain exploding through my skull. Justin stands over me, grinning like a predator.
“You thought you could take me on?” Justin sneers. “You’re nothing. A weak, pathetic nobody.”
Mary watches from the bed, her expression cold and indifferent. “Just leave him alone, Justin. He’s not worth it.”
Justin kicks me in the ribs, hard. “Nah, I think I’ll have a little more fun first.”
The blows come one after another, each one more vicious than the last. I try to fight back, but my body’s too weak, my movements sluggish. I can feel myself slipping, the world fading to black.
The thought of Mary choosing Justin over me is insane. It makes no sense. She knows exactly who he is his bad reputation, the way he treats people like they’re disposable. And yet, she choose such a man.
My chest tightens, the weight of it pressing down on me. I try to shake it off, but the betrayal sinks deep, clawing at something raw inside me. I thought she saw me differently. I thought I mattered to her.
But I was wrong.
The last thing I hear is Justin’s laughter and Mary’s voice, cold and dismissive. “Throw him in the cage. The dogs will take care of the rest.”
Darkness.
Then pain.
I wake to the sound of growling. My body’s on fire, every inch of me screaming in agony. I’m lying on cold, hard ground, the stench of blood and fur filling my nostrils.
I open my eyes.
The cage is massive, its iron bars towering above me. And inside are the dogs huge, savage beasts with gleaming teeth and hungry eyes. They circle me, their growls low and menacing.
I try to move, but my body won’t obey. I’m too weak, too broken. Blood pools beneath me, seeping into the dirt.
One of the dogs lunges, its teeth sinking into my arm. I scream, the pain blinding. I kick out weakly, but it’s no use. The other dogs close in, their jaws snapping, their breath hot and rancid.
This is it. This is how I’m going to die. Betrayed, humiliated, and torn apart by dogs.
But then something strange happens.
The blood from my wounds begins to pool around my hand, soaking into the ring I always wear a simple silver ring that had belonged to my mother. It glows faintly, a strange warmth spreading through my body.
The dogs back away, whimpering, as if sensing something they don’t understand.
My vision blurs, then sharpens. My body feels… different. Stronger. Hotter. It was like something ancient and powerful is waking up inside me.
I look down at the ring. It’s glowing brighter now, the light pulsing in time with my heartbeat.
And then, with a surge of energy that feels like lightning coursing through my veins, I stand.
The dogs snarl, but they don’t attack. They can sense it too the change in me. The power.
I clench my fists, my breathing ragged. I don’t understand
what’s happening, but one thing’s clear.
This isn’t the end.
It’s just the beginning.

REBIRTH TO BECOME TRILLIONAIRE HEIR Chapter 149: The Price of Bullets
Kelvin's POV The room feels too small, too suffocating, like the walls themselves are leaning in to watch me break. Justin’s gun gleams under the fluorescent lights, its barrel pressed hard against Brianna’s temple. Her face is pale, her eyes swollen with terror, and her lips tremble as she whispers my name like a prayer.“Drink it,” Justin growls, shaking the glass bottle of poison in my direction. His smile is wicked, stretched too wide, like a mask sewn into his flesh. “One swallow, Kelvin. Just one. Or she dies here and now.”My hand hovers in the air as I stare at the poison. It’s thick, swirling like liquid death. I reach out, fingers brushing the bottle’s cool surface. My stomach twists into knots, bile rising in my throat. If I drink it, Brianna lives. If I don’t, she dies.My chest pounds so hard it hurts. I raise the bottle slowly, my hand trembling as though the glass weighs a hundred pounds. Brianna lets out a cry, a sound so raw it slashes straight into me.“No, Kelvin!”

Every second that passes feels like a blade twisting deeper.I try to shove past the police at the entrance. “Let me through. He needs me in there!”A uniformed officer blocks me with a firm hand. “Sir, you can’t. It’s too dangerous. We’ve got strict orders”I cut him off, rage spilling out of me. “Orders? He’s in there facing Justin alone! He’s walking into death, and you expect me to stand here and do nothing?”Behind me, I hear Lydia’s voice, cracked and broken. She’s sobbing, begging the officers just as desperately. “Please, you don’t understand. That man in there Kelvin he’s everything. I

The phone rings as I’m racing through the streets, every muscle in my body tense. It’s the police chief. My worst fear has taken form. The chief tries to reassure me. “My men are five minutes out. We’ll surround the building.”“Five minutes?” I roar. “That’s five minutes too late!”I slam the accelerator, tires screeching as the car rockets forward.
