White Devil

"Uncle, you know my mother so well," Mergus counters in a plain voice. A sinister smile under his eyes. Nobody can tell what is running through his crafty mind.

His words work like magic, it stopped the flowing thoughts of his uncle.

"Ahem!, what I meant was, that this place was your parent's special hang out." His uncle replied, masking his words.

"That's beautiful of them," Mergus said like it's a normal thing between people, uninterested as he sips his tea. His uncle watches him sipping his tea deep in thought.

"Well… I came here for another reason." Mergus started, changing the subject. He puts on a serious look.

"You mean to say about the Prophecy spreading wide like fire in the –Mystic World." His uncle said while refilling their tea cups.

"Am I wrong?" He asked, seeing the disbelief look written on his nephew's face.

Mergus clicked his tongue and swallowed hard.

"Feels like it…" he counters and dawns the tea in his cup.

"So, what do you intend to do about it?" His uncle implored with a concerned look.

"What can you do about a prophecy or can you change it?" Mergus countered back in an icy tone.

"Of course not, but we may think of something." His uncle suggested while raising his teacup to him.

The light in Mergus' eyes dims as he stares at his uncle. "Your point?" Mergus asked, his expression darkening.

"You need to calm down your Lordship. You know better than anyone how serious this is?" His uncle said, reasoning with him.

"Many entities are anticipating this moment, so you need a vast plan." His uncle said in a firm voice while circling his index finger on the table between them.

"That still doesn't answer my question," Mergus thundered while giving his uncle a questioning gaze.

His uncle drinks his tea and sticks out his tongue because the has turned numb. He sighs deeply and continues with his unfinished words.

"If the one the prophecy speaks of emerges, he or she is going to cause serious chaos in the six paranormal's."

His uncle points out as he refills their cups with another hot tea.

"So, l advise that you ally with the Wolf king." His uncle added, giving him a meaningful look.

The lines on Mergus' forehead creased together, popping up. He tightened his knuckles on his teacup.

'Is my Uncle being for real? He knows how much l detests the wolves, coupled with their overbearing attitudes.

How can he come up with such an idea?

When he knows so well that colliding with one's enemy is like seeing own death.'

He thinks within himself.

"The enemy of your enemy is your friend Mergus!" His uncle affirmed, calling him by his name for the first time since their conversation started.

Mergus puts much pressure on the teacup, causing his knuckles to turn white. The teacup shattered in pieces leaving cuts on his palm. Blood drips down from his clenched fist and stains the table.

His uncle clicks his tongue and sips his tea from his teacup.

"You don't have to waste your blood even though you are Pure-blooded, every being has its limit."

Mergus shuts his eyes and inhales deeply before he opens his eyes. He releases his clenched fist. His injured palm immediately heals and returns to its original color.

"Fine l will send an invite," Mergus proclaimed, gritting his teeth.

His uncle nods his head in accordance.

Mergus got up from his seat and walked towards the entrance with his face flushed red in anger.

"Marcus," he stops in his movement hearing his uncle mention his elder brother's name.

"I bet you know what he's doing?" His uncle asked him as he held his teacup close to his lips.

Without turning around to face his uncle; his silver hair fluttering with the cool breeze.

"Let him play around for the moment." He countered without glancing back. His uncle didn't respond but stared at his cold back deep in thought.

"Isn't that so, uncle?" Mergus asked with an evil grin cast on his face. One could hear the underlying meaning of those words.

He strode out of the house in large steps, his white robe sweeping the floor behind him.

"What a white Devil." His uncle remarks as he stares intently at his disappearing figure. He let out a smirk and drank the last tea from his cup.

In the middle of the night.

Two black figures move in speed with the wind into the depths of the forest. their body moving in sync without stopping in their movement.

One can not differentiate them from a man or woman. Their form contrasts with the night.

The two figure stops in front of a dark cave. They gawk around them, their eyes filled with wariness.

One of the two figures snaps their head around to face the other and nods his head in affirmation. And moves to step inside the cave. The other figure was fast to hold him back by the arm.

"Your Eminence, are you sure we are in the right place?" He asked in a worried voice while scanning every part of the cave with his hawk eyes.

"Have you ever seen me make a mistake with my intrusions?" The one addressed as (Your Eminence) thundered back in an icy tone making his subordinate lower his head in remorse.

"No, your eminence, I'm just being careful." The subordinate replied, sincerity and concern obvious in his voice.

The man exhales and removes the hood covering his head revealing his raven hair tied in a bun.

He looked into the grimy cave and glanced back at his subordinate who had a worried expression.

"Zambo, he has never for once, failed me." He said in an assuring voice.

"Do you trust this person?" His subordinate asked, his voice shuddering in a panic.

"Zambo, you don't need to worry, just wait here and be on the lookout." He said, giving his subordinate a light pat on the shoulder.

Zambo nodded his head in understanding. He hesitated for some moments and held him back.

"Your eminence, are you sure you don't want me to follow you?" He said, persuading his master.
