Miranda's POV

The pain.

That was the last thing I remembered. My head was blank after that. Hela, myself and the mages I had managed to convince not to follow my brother anymore had been heading to the palace. Something had smacked my head and knocked me out.

But what was it? Who did it?

My subconscious mind continued to question itself when I felt like I was being drawn into a dream. The feeling was calm and inviting, and unlike other dreams, I have had in the past, the feeling was different.

But I followed it.

I suddenly found myself inside the palace. But it was not the palace I could remember at that point. It was from a time, about sixteen years ago. I still remembered because I helped set up the designs.

What was I doing there? How was I even there?

"Hello?"

I called out but no one answered. No one was home. I was all alone and that began to freak me out. Imagine being the only person inside a large palace. It was not a nice feeling
