Chapter 3

"Freeze!" they shouted and Jules began to run away from Daniel.

Daniel took a deep breath and stood up slowly, walking towards the men pointing their guns at him. He was unarmed and as good as dead if he didn't comply with them. The only thing that kept him alive right now was Jules, if he decided that he killed him, they would kill him without any hesitation.

Daniel was still very calm, because after vomiting blood, the lord woke up. Everyone was shocked, especially the doctor. 

He rushed to his bedside and checked him over, trying to figure out what had happened. He started to check the lord’s situation right away and found that he was veryhealthy now. He couldn't believe it when she saw her lord's eye open, but even more unbelievable was seeing him speak. His voice sounded so weak, like something was strangling his throat.

The lord couldn't talk or move properly but could understand what happened around him by listening to others' voices.

" What's going on here?" He asked in a frail voice.

Samira looked at Daniel while holding his breath. She wanted to ask something but didn't know how to start. She asked " he is alive?" 

Daniel answered "Yes" with a big smile on his face.

Doctor start praising Daniel . He said " Daniel, you are a hero! You have saved an innocent life of Lord Dhanavantri Wilson."

"Dr. Ezéchiel, I am really thankful to you for all your help and support. But I don't think that I deserve this praise," replied Daniel with humility.

"No, my son. No, my son. I have made the greatest sacrifice, but you are the hero who saved the life. When you gave him this message, your heart was filled with compassion. Your soul was touched by love for the person you saved. The love of God was in your eyes."

Then Doctor asked him "How did you do it?" 

Daniel was very happy and proud that he has done something great. So he tells the whole story about his experience at Dooxie temple. But he leaves out one thing, that he was a famous doctor and the rich guys trying to find out him to savetheir lives, and people on dark web are trying to find him to assassinate their enemies.

The lord asked in a frail voice " what happened?" 

 Jules said " you were poisoned and..." Jules the eldest son of him told him everything with tears. 

" Thank you very much my son ! Be greatly blessed by Almighty God. May he give you a hundredfold what you have done for me, I will never be grateful enough to you. Thanks again" . The lord

 thanked Daniel, then he looked at him carefully, His face told him something, as if he knew him.

 He suddenly asked: " Are you Daniel Biao? , the son from Biao family, who had marriage contract with my granddaughter?

" Yes Lord I'm Daniel Biao from Biao family and yes I'm the one you had contract marriage with your granddaughter" Daniel admitted

 The lord smiled and asked :" are you here to perform the marriage contract ? " 

The lord and Daniel's father had established a marriage contract between Daniel and Samira when both were still babies because, the father of Daniel and the Lord were childhood friends who had sworn to marry their children.

Before Daniel answered, the eldest son Jules spoke anxiously " wait ! Wait ! What contract Marriage are you talking about? After asking this,he remembered this marriage contract but since Daniel was kicked out from his family when he was 10, the thought the marriage was invalid. 

" But dad I thought that since he had been kicked out of his home at 10, the contract was now invalid. It must be invalid, right?" He asked uncertainly.

" No ! The contract is still valid " the lord insisted.

" Why? Why is it still valid ? " Jules asked angry .

" It's still valid because I say it's still valid . What's your problem ? " Lord asked also angry.

" How can we give Samira in Marriage to this is worth nothing? Jules said fingering Daniel and looking at him with contempt.

" And even if the marriage contract was no longer valid, I was going to make it valid because It's thanks to this worthless as you call him that I'm still alive ,do I have to remind you? So my decision is made , He will marry Samira, that's all. I am the head of this family." 

Jules laughed at Daniel “The loser like you want to marry our daughter? It’s a daydream!”

"Don't talk to him like that, he's my saviour. You owe him respect and recognition." 

Jules laughed nervously and said "if we are grateful to him, and want to thank him, why not give him some money?" 

Everyone else in the room looked at them in disbelief, not knowing what to say or what to do to stop them. Because when the lord and Jules were always arguing, nothing could stop them, because they were two stubborn ones. Reason why, all members of the Wilson family always avoided any confrontation between the Lord and Jules.

Samira was shocked .

One, what contract marriage were they talking about? And why wasn't she in the aware of that? 

They were discussing her future as if she was not where as she was still a child. Didn't she also have a say in this story? 

She said angry " I am here I remind you. I have a say in all of this too huh, after all it's me you're talking about. 

They both turned and glared at her then continued arguing as if she hadn't said anything.

 "Please calm down! And we'll all sort this out together." Lady Wilson Tried to reason with them , but none of them paid him any attention.

" Dad, I see it's the poison that's driving you crazy, that must be it. Normally you wouldn't think like that." 

"I won't allow you to talk to me like that if not..." 

 While they were arguing, Daniel just shredded the contract and said: “No, I’m here to regret it.”
