The ding dong of the door made one of the workers to open the door and a certain woman walked into the living room with a smile on her face.

“Hey” Esmeralda who was coming down the stairs saw her, “you didn’t tell me you were coming”

“No aunt” she hugged the lady, “Alex made me come over this early”

“Ughhh” Esmeralda shook her head, “he is still sleeping”

“I will just check up on him” Bianca responded before making her way upstairs.

The moment she threw the door open, Alex who was sleeping opened his eyes and he was struggling to understand who was standing by his bed.

“Hello” Bianca rolled her eyes, “are you going to keep staring at me like that like I am some alien from another planet?” She rolled her eyes and folded her hands across her chest.

This was when it dawned on Alex that it was Bianca talking and he immediately sat up. Shs was much more different than the person he imagined. She was a bit tall and had curly hair, a mixed breed and she had a calm demeanor around her.

“Bianca?” He asked more to be sure.

“Did you really lose all your memories?” The lady asked while perching on the space beside him, “can’t you remember anything?”

He nodded in the negative, “not exactly, just a little. Aiden has been helping”

“Oh, sorry about that Alex” she placed her hand on his shoulder, “you will be fine”

Alex thought for a while, it was better he told her the truth now than later and she was the only person he could think of who could help him at the moment. He wasn’t Alexander Chase but a fifteen year old teenager living in his body.

“Can I trust you?” He questioned after a while and Bianca raised one of her brows.

“What do you mean?” This time around she scoffed,

“We have known each other since forever Alex, how could you even ask that kind of a question? You can trust me okay?”

He sighed and raked his hand through his already disheveled hair and clicked his lips. He knew he was going to sound so funny and make me look like I was going crazy but I had too. Bianca was the only person who could help him at the moment. Jayden didn’t know much about Alexander chase and he didn’t even have any idea of what happened in the last ten years of his life, he needed someone to help him to actualize his dreams and he needed help to bring Gerald down.

“You are making me nervous, Alex” Bianca’s voice filtered into his ears and he jolted out of his reverie.

“I am not Alex, Bianca” he finally dropped the bombshell and the lady froze for a while before bursting into laughter.

“Are you being serious right now?” She asked amidst her laugh, “what do you mean you are not Alex?”

He sighed again, “this was going to be more difficult than he thought”

“I understand you have these episodes but you have never forgotten that you are Alex so that the hell are you saying to me now?”

“I am fucking serious Bianca and weather you believe me or not won’t change the fact okay? I am not alex”

He sounded so serious and the woman beside him had to stop laughing when she saw the serious look on his face.

“You are not joking, are you?”

“Look Bianca” he got up from the bed and stood right in front of her, he was bare to the waist but that was not the main point.

“I am Jayden, Jayden Baxter”

“Jayden Baxter?” She let the name roll out of her mouth while her forehead creased into a frown.

“Who the hell is Jayden Baxter?” Bianca was getting confused by the moment and it was evident on her face.

“I am sure you have heard of the Baxter family, ten years ago they all died in a car crash on Christmas Eve?”

Bianca thought for a while until a look of certainty appeared on her face.

“Oh yeah, i think remember” she paused for a while, “are you saying you are Jayden? Like the only son of that family? I mean how?”

“That’s the point now Bianca” he went to sit beside her again but she unknowingly shifted from him which made him sigh, “ a week ago, I woke up and I found myself in this body, in the body of Alexander chase. I don’t even know how to explain everything that is happening but what I do know is that I am inhabiting his body and I don’t fucking know where Alex is”

Bianca shot out of the bed with her eyes glued to him.

“You sound so creepy right now, Alex”

“Do I look like I am lying to you?” He inquired, “and why will I use the name of a dead boy to lie to you Bianca?I am bigger than that and you know me”

Now she was confused, she came here to meet her best friend but now she was meeting some fifteen year old Jayden Baxter who was living In her friend’s body.

“I swear to you Bianca, I am not lying” he raked his hand through his hair again and hissed in frustration”

“How the hell do you want me to believe you? I mean how did you magically find yourself in my friend’s body?”

“I don’t know” he half yelled, “ I am also struggling to make the most of this situation right now because I am supposed to be dead but here I am in this body”

Bianca was quiet for a while, she was trying to comprehend the situation but it was too hard. The Alex she knew would never lie to her and he didn’t even have the time to stay and chit chat like that.

Bianca sighed and went over to him before placing her hand on his shoulder, “tell me everything Alex or should I say Jayden. If you want me to believe you, you have to tell me everything and I mean every single thing”

Alex sighed and kept looking at her, maybe he was waiting for her permission and when she nodded, he relaxed.

“So apparently I was supposed to be dead like ten years ago and yes I was but I magically woke up in Alex’s body a week ago and the funny thing is that my family was murdered by the same man whom Alex is their supposed son in law”

“What?” Bianca couldn’t believe her ears and he couldn’t blame her. If he was in her shoes was her shoes, he wouldn’t have believed this ridiculous story too.

“Gerald”

“Gerald is your family’s murderer?”

“Yes” Alex shrugged his shoulders, “he killed my parents and siblings on Christmas Eve ten years ago and had me run over with his car and thrown into the water to die and ten years later I am back apparently”

“Wow” she was pacing up and down the room, “so apparently the man who murdered your family is your father- in -law- to be?”

“You get the point now”

“This in insane Alex, sorry I mean Jayden”

“I know this is hard to believe Bianca but that’s the truth, i have no idea what happened about the last ten years or anything about Alex’s life and believe me when i say I hate to be in this body but I think the universe is trying to give me another chance”

“What do you mean?”

“Maybe this is my chance to take revenge on what Gerald did to me” Alex answered and stood up, “this is my chance to right all his wrongs and make him gravel at my feet and beg for forgiveness”

“So how do I come into this?”

“Teach me how to be Alex”

“What?” Now Bianca was stupefied, “how can I do that?”

“You guys have been friends for what seems like forever Bianca and you know everything about him, I just want to use him to get my revenge and I try to find out what happened in the last ten years of my life. I also need to figure out what happened to Alex Bianca” he placed his two hands on her shoulders, “I know this is hard to believe ma’am but i really need your help to do this please ma’am”

Bianca cringed, “don’t call me ma’am, you make me sound so old”

“Will you help? I know it’s hard but you are the only person whom I can trust at the moment”

The lady sighed, it was difficult to believe but this man didn’t have any reason to lie to her, what would he gain? And she could also see the desperation in his eyes. The Alex she knew had never behaved like this and he never looked scared, the story had to be true.

“Fine, I will help you”

His lips curved into a smile, “thank you so much Bianca, this means so much to me and i really appreciate your kindness”

“ I am doing this to get my friend back though”

“I know and that is why I am grateful to you”

She studied him for a while before asking, “So what's the plan?”

“I need to know everything about Alex, I have checked all the internet sites about him, his interviews and everything but I still need even the tiniest detail about him. I don’t want to give Gerald the slightest hint that I am not the person he thinks I am”

“And Clarrisa?”

From the way she called Clarrisa’s name, Alex was sure she didn’t like the girl and that made them two.

“You hate her, huh?”

“With every fiber of my being” Bianca rolled her eyes, “I hate her”

“Don’t worry about her, Bianca. I can handle her. For now I need to know everything about Alex”

This time around she smiled before talking, “sit down, pick a pen and paper because you are about to get schooled on Alexander chase”.
