A tall handsome young man rush into the medical class of Rift Valley university throwing his bag at someone panting.

“David, am just coming “ he shouts rushing out

“what Alex! you are just coming?”David asked catching the bag with a worried face.

“yes”

“but………..”

David wanted to say something but stopped when the young man was no where in sight.

he took a deep breath as the worry on his face grew intense.

The young man's name is Alexander Peterson

he is a medical student at Rift Valley university yet, he was poor more than a church rat.

He rush into a room then rush out seconds later with a broom and dustpan then began sweeping.

few years back ,he got a scholarship to study his choice course at Rift Valley university one of the most expensive universities in Rift Valley.

He was happy at first as he will be studying his dream course which is medicine at the most expensive university but, few months in the university he began sweeping the school because his father who is a sweep in the university got terribly sick that Alex had no other choice but to help his sick father sweep.

And ever since then, no one wants anything to do with him, especially the rich kids who were from a super wealthy families.

girls and even boys wow at his handsomeness and even want to be his friend but feel disgusted when they look down at his dress of faded shirt and jeans with multiple stitches.

and it all breaks his heart anytime he thinks of it but David his best friend always tries his best to cheer him up. and today was the final exams for him to graduate and he happen to come late

even though David his best friend wasn't from a rich home, his family was doing far more better than Alex's.

Alex was so lost on how to quickly finish sweeping before the last Paper start that he didn't see a troll of three handsome-looking rich dudes coming until they walk past him spilling heaps of sand from their shoes everywhere thereby making a mess of where Alex just swept.

They smelt of wealth. from their hair to their style of clothes down to their shoes screams of money! and Alex knows who they are ‘James Darius and his click of friends ‘ -mark and Andrea

though all of them were from wealthy homes, their family's wealth couldn't be marched with James who was from the ‘DARIUS’

So James was considered the leader of the troll.

his face was covered with scorn as he watch Alexander.

Alex boils in fury and that triggered James to anger him more he enjoys any little chance he gets to torment poor people because, to him, they are not supposed to live and breathe the same air the wealthy do. and for the poor students at rift valley university, he despised for he know they won't be in the same college as him if not because of the silly scholarship.

so he bullies them any slight chance he gets

and Alex is one of them.

taking a water bottle from Andrea one of his friends, he slowly spills the water everywhere.

seeing Alex the poor student surrounded by James' click of friends, students troop close, and within a minute crowd of students gathered to watch as no one wants to miss the drama between the richest students and the poorest student in school.

and seeing him spill the water, everyone cheers loudly.

but the cheering got louder when James emptied the remaining water on Alex.

just as planned, he flips his finger and a male student rush towards him handing him some mud in a can.

“ you know what to do “ he whispered

And the student emptied the mud on the floor.

“Wretch thing, clean up “ he giggles stamping his shoe on the mud in other to mess everywhere more.

“stop it “ Alex pleaded with a low tone

even though he was enraged and felt like tearing James apart he couldn't dare do any thing stupid rather than beg him to stop since today was his last day in Rift Valley university and he needed to finish up so he won't miss his last exam .

“did you just speak to me without being told ?” James who was looking for Alex wrong stopped stamping on the mud then slowly start walking towards Alex who had lowered his head.

“I ask again did you just speak to me without being told ?” James landed a punch on his stomach.

Alex who didn't expect a punch combined with the fact that he was yet to have breakfast, stagger backward holding his stomach.

“am sorry if I angered you as I didn't mean to “ Alex coughed “ I only asked you to stop so I can finish cleaning on time before today’s exam commencement “

James laughed so hard “ why do you even waste you time sitting for the exams? even if you graduate with the best result, you will be unemploy you know why, because you are too poor to be employed “

“ I can employ you in my company and of course as a cleaner “

Alex felt like punching the boy as every one burst into laughter mocking him but he couldn't as that will bring him more problems.

James and his trolls throw several punches at Alex before pushing him into the stinking mud water.

he had always despised Alex because he was very handsome even though he was poor and anytime he thinks of the chances of Alex becoming rich, it scares him because he knows girls will flock around him .

“ I need a change of shoes, “ he said as he walk out followed by his friends.

seeing James and his friends leave, David find his way out of the crowd rushing toward Alex

“am sorry I couldn't do anything to help “ David helped him to his feet.

even though he wanted to yell at James for the ill treatment meted out to Alex, he couldn't as he didn't want to be in james's blacklist book as it won't be funny.

“ go to class this is my fate “ Alex urge David

after much pleading, David finally left for class as he didn't want to leave at first.

Alex wipe a tear finding its way down his cheek then went to get water and mop to clean up the mess James and his friends made.

as he clean, his mind was clouded with so many thoughts.

if only he was from a wealthy home no one would have dared to humiliate him this way.

he felt like evaporating out of the earth's surface but that was impossible.

or should he run far away? No, he couldn't afford to leave his sick father who needed him so much at this terrible time he was.

so, he resorted to the only thing which is ‘ take all shit and live his life’ besides after today he won’t be seeing these bullies

James has always been torn on his flesh ever since he got into rift valley university but he had never poured water on him or punch.

the only thing he does was spill sand everywhere then he re sweep without a choice but today he made him a mockery in the whole of rift valley university.

he humiliated him because he was a nobody.

as he walk to class everyone who passes, laughs and mocks him for smelling bad due to the muddy water.

he sat in a corner weeping sore

he didn't do anything because he didn't want the school to get him fired from the job as it was the only source of income for his sick father and himself .
