Chapter 23

But Zolta wasn't done

Arin stood his ground, his staff at the ready, as Zoltar approached. The two wizards locked eyes, and Arin felt a surge of hatred and disgust for the man standing before him.

"You are a fool to stand against me, boy," Zoltar sneered. "You have no idea what you're up against."

Arin smiled coldly. "I know exactly what I'm up against," he said. "And I'm not afraid."

The two wizards raised their staffs, and the air crackled with magic. Arin felt a surge of power as he cast his first spell, a blast of lightning that shot towards Zoltar. Zoltar countered with a shield of dark energy, and the lightning bounced harmlessly off it.

The battle raged on, with both wizards unleashing spells and curses at each other. Arin felt his energy waning, but he refused to give up. He knew that he had to keep fighting, for the sake of the kingdom and all its people.
