A Secret

"Then, where did you get that money? Which lottery gave you that much money?" asked Hellen then make Ernest shut up.

"Ah ... are you interested in following him?" Ernest asked hesitantly.

"Oh, of course! Who's not interested in money anyway, Er?" Hellen said, making Ernest swallow his salivary instead.

"Ah, don't you already work and have a lot of money? You don't have to follow something like this. You know, lottery games like this will only be lucky for the lucky, for the unclear, they will suffer a big loss. I hope you don't have to know and follow it," explained Ernest, smiling.

"Haha, you are! I'm kidding, how could I want to participate in such a thing? But, your intentions are good. You joined the lottery and opened the business. But, do you still play it?" asked Hellen instantly making Ernest feel trapped.

"Oh, sure! I have a lucky card. While I have it, then I'm safe, if I don't have it, obviously I'll end this game. Hahaha!" Ernest said.

However, Ernest laughed. Hellen instead stood still and looked at him with a flat look. Wait, what's Hellen thinking now?

"Hellen, are you all right?" asked Ernest, making sure.

However, a moment later Hellen smiled sweetly at him, "Haha, of course, I'm fine! Oh yes, how is your father? Has he changed since that day?" asked Hellen, turning the conversation away.

"Oh, sure! He's completely changed. I'm very surprised that he's now my father. A father who's so warm and kind, you'll surely feel very different from his behavior. He's done his word, I'm amazed! Even now he's quit and is on a diet, he says he wants to be a cool father. n!" Ernest explained proudly.

Really? Hahaha, good! But it sounds funny when your normally sweet-looking dad now wants to look cool until you go on a diet. Don't you suspect your father is dating someone? "Hellen said that made Ernest laugh.

"Hahaha, you and I are thinking! I don't know which woman made her change. But, if so, there is another figure who will replace my mother. I don't mind, it's good because someone will accompany my father's old age and I can marry you," concluded Ernest who immediately laughed. Heard what Ernest said.

Ernest looked directly into Hellen's face. The girl who was with him all the time when everyone was avoiding him because he was born into a troubled family. Only Hellen always gives him the best spirit and support. Her heart even docked for the first time at the white girl in front of her.

"Ah sorry, I think I should go to the toilet! I left you things, yes!" exclaimed Ernest, who was nervous and then left Hellen who was still stunned by what he said just now.

"Does he love me too?" asked Hellen then a smile rose from his face.

"He's so cute!" she said again then Hellen sipped his drink that had just come and she hadn't touched it at all.

Suddenly, Ernest was still in the toilet. Ernest's phone gave someone a message. At first, Hellen ignored the message notification from someone. However, unfortunately, she read the contents of the message that appeared on the screen of his phone.

To: Ernest.

You must carry out your mission, Ernest.

Where was your business?

I'll give you another assignment. Where are you?

Remember our deal, Ernest!

Hellen took the phone and wondered. He suddenly misfocused on the sender's number. Even Ernest didn't keep his number. Still, it seems like they exchanged messages with each other.

"Who is this? Is Ernest close to someone else?" asked Hellen a little jealous.

However, when studied again, the contents of the message were not even romantic at all. Hellen read the pop-up message. He was surprised that there was a treaty that confused Hellen.

"What kind of agreement? What kind of assignment? Is there something Ernest has been hiding from me all this time?" asked Hellen curiously.

— The Game of Death

After Ernest finished urinating because he was so nervous in front of Hellen, he was washing his hands while staring at the mirror of the public toilet.

"Huft.. what did you just say, Ernest? Did you see his reaction just now? She didn't even react to you, aish.. stupid!" said Ernest to himself.

"Will I be able to go back there all right? I don't even know where else to store my weird face," he said in confusion.

"Oh, come on, Ernest how long are you going to keep this feeling under control, huh? You've given her the code. It's okay, it's a prefix. Slowly, she'll understand what you mean. Relax, Ernest! Let's go back!" he said, then he set his heart back to meet Hellen who was waiting for him.

Ernest breathed a long sigh and then walked toward the chair where she had been sitting. Upon arriving, Hellen, who was playing on his cell phone, immediately smiled warmly at Ernest.

"Sorry, I took so long, huh?" Ernest asked.

"It's okay, take it easy. Oh yes, when is your business open? Am I allowed to work with you?" asked Hellen, making Ernest immediately surprised instead of playing.

"Working with me? Are you serious? But you work at that cafe. Are you going to be okay leaving that cafe?" Ernest asked not to believe it.

"I'm serious. Of course, I'll be fine. So what? Am I not allowed to work for you? Is there any secret?" asked Hellen, making Ernest feel more cornered.

But wait, how did Hellen know there was a secret behind all this? Is it Hellen?

"Ah, nothing! Of course, you can work with me. Oh yes, tomorrow is the inauguration day of my restaurant. Just come there. I also have a job opening," Ernest said trying to calm down.

"Haha, well! I can't wait for tomorrow," she said.

"Of course, oh yeah! It's late, do you want to go home? I happen to have a motorbike with me, I can take you if you want," offered Ernest.

"Oh? I think my driver will be stuck in traffic this afternoon. Are you okay at all?" asked Hellen making sure.

"Of course not, come on!" asked Ernest.

Hellen nodded. They get out of there and pay a tip for their drinks. Today, it was a very nice day for Ernest to have a day with Hellen, the girl he loved. Ernest hoped that Hellen would have the same feeling and understand the code by now.

No, not because Ernest was afraid to express his feelings. But he's not ready, to tell the truth. Instead, he feared Hellen would reject him and then avoid him. Besides, Hellen was his only friend. The one who trusted and encouraged Ernest all the time. She was very valuable in Ernest's life.

After returning from the cafe and delivering Hellen, Ernest finally got home. He went straight into his room and threw himself in his favorite bed. He immediately opened his cell phone, which turned out to have shown a chat message from Jeremy.

Ernest was surprised and read the message, and he immediately responded.

To: (+1)23456789

I'll open my business tomorrow.

I made good use of that money.

I'm ready for a new assignment.

After the message was sent, Ernest bit his fingers. Did he go to the toilet, Hellen read this message. The thing is, if she did, Ernest would be worried that Hellen would think he was doing bad things. He's afraid Hellen knows that he's lying not to call the number the guy gave him at the cafe the other day.

"Did Hellen read it? I was worried, but hopefully, she didn't read it," Ernest murmured.

Suddenly, when Ernest was in such a state of uncertainty. Hellen sent him a message that surprised Ernest again.

To: Ernest

Are you home yet?

To: Hellen

Of course, I'm laying on my bed now

To: Ernest

Good. See you tomorrow, Er! I'm looking forward to your inauguration!

To: Hellen.

Hahaha, no need to overdo it, Hel! It's just a normal ceremony. Nothing special.

To: Ernest

Of course, it's special. You became a restaurant owner! I'm so proud of you!

When he got the answer, Ernest suddenly smiled. She felt warm in her heart after hearing that answer. Hellen can always turn his heart upside down.

To: Hellen

Really? I'm so glad to hear that!

To: Ernest.

Ernest! Anyway, I'll see you tomorrow! I'll take a shower first, yeah!

The message stopped right there. Ernest smiled sweetly at the chat message. He has fallen in love with Hellen. That girl has changed her whole world.

Even in his photo gallery, there are many pictures of Hellens everywhere. He has completely transformed ordinary life into a beautiful and colorful life.

"Are you an angel? You're beautiful, great, good, patient, you're very perfect. Do humans like me deserve to be your companion?" said Ernest while staring at his cell phone showing pictures of Hellen and Ernest at graduation.

What a beautiful memory that has been entwined into his brain. Ernest couldn't see another girl because he felt that Hellen was perfect for her.

Knock! Knock!

"Hello, my boy!" exclaimed Lewis from the threshold surprised Ernest.

"Daddy, when are you there?" asked Ernest, who was sitting in his bed. He was even very surprised by his father's presence.

"All right? I just knocked on the door. You didn't come home telling me at all," he replied, making Ernest scratch the nape of his head not itchy.

" I didn't think you were home before, " she says.

"Dad's in the back garden, cleaning the yard. Oh yeah, how about your date? Did it work?" asked Dad with a radiant face.
