Calanthe and Gwen asked Gerald why he thought he had half of the Sacred because they had no idea how the stone was split into two.

“ Since I remember being a child, I have had this necklace that has a pendant. I found it odd that a boy would have a necklace on his neck as though he is a girl,so I opened the pendant one day and saw a green shiny stone that was transparent, from merely looking at it I could tell it was a broken half of a stone, “ Gerald paused and then continued.

“ I tried to get it off my necklace but it wouldn't come out. I used everything I knew I could to cut it with but I couldn't. The surprising part is that no one else could see it besides me. My parents began to think I was having mental issues and so did kids from my school. I was forced to visit a psychiatrist, no matter how I tried to show them they couldn't see it. I decided to let the issue slide because there must be a reason for no one else to be able to see it aside from me. And now I know the reason “

“ I know it's the stone because I saw my mother put it on my neck when I was a baby through the flashback I had when I touched my fathers sword, '' Gerald explained.

“ Is the necklace with you right now “ Gwen said after she recovered from being dumbfounded.

“ Yes it is, “ Gerald said while putting his hands in his shirt, bringing out the necklace, opening the pendant and taking out the stone to show Gwen and Calanthe.

He held the stone and showed them while smiling believing they would see it, but in their eyes there was no stone or necklace on his neck and hands, they couldn't see it only he could.

“ There’s nothing on your hands Gerald “ Gwen said as she looked at Gerald and scratched the back of her neck while stifling laughter because Gerald looked funny while holding something that was invisible to her.

“ It's not funny Gwen, cut the laughter off “ Calanthe said while glaring at her child Gwen and Gerald looked offended with his lips pressed in a thin line.

Although Gerald knew Gwen was astonishingly beautiful, he didn't really like her guts, he viewed her like she loved to boss around, what even annoyed him was that he looked older than her, No, scratch that, he knew he was older than her yet she behaved like the superior.

“ What, mother but there's nothing on his hands or neck, “ Gwen said as a matter of fact while shrugging her shoulders.

“ We can't see it because a spell of ownership was placed on the necklace, “ Calanthe answered.

“ What's a spell of ownership? “ Gwen and Gerald at the same time.

“ It's a spell casted to protect an object for the owner because people can't know of what they do not see, only the owner and the person who cast the spell can see it .Except the owner uses his or her magic to unlock it only then can it be visible to everyone’s eyes “ Calanthe explained.

“ So when I unlock my powers I will be able to make you both see it? “ Gerald asked, smirking as he looked at Gwen who scoffed at him.

“ Yes now let's go.The trolls kingdom is five nights away from here.We don't much time till the supreme ladies of darkness track us and if they do we'll definitely need our powers to fight for survival “ Calanthe said with finality and hit her horse with both legs and it began to run fast.

Gerald followed suit and overtook Calanthe, he was serious when he said he'll act like a man. This part of the enchanted forest looked really beautiful and harmless, to Gerald it was a pure example of the saying that not all that glitters is gold.

Still heading west, they rode past a part of the forest where beautiful trees and fruits were abundant, then after that they came to a part of the forest where the trees were all dried up without lives and fog covered here more, it was more spooky than the previous part of the forest they just passed.

Gerald immediately stopped his horse and stretched out his hands to stop Gwen and her mother.He suddenly felt a strange and dark energy approaching them, he looked around the forest and all of a sudden a beautiful girl with a green and very long hair came running with a beast Gerald had never seen before pursuing the lady.

The beast had the head of a bull, and hands like a normal human have, only that since the beast was big in size so were its hands, but from the waist downwards was that of a snake.

They quickly jumped down from their horses and ran towards the girl in distress to help her out.Immediately the lady saw them she shouted “ Help!! Help me please!! “.

Gwen immediately stood still and closed her eyes when she noticed the girl was now running towards them Gwen opened her eyes and it glowed, she focused and channeled her powers.

In no time Gwen was suspended in the air with a mixture of heavy wind and water which was oval in shape covering her, and she was in it.

She stretched out both her hands sideways and many frozen stakes with very sharp tips formed by both sides of the oval shaped wind and water that she was in due the power of water and wind that she harnessed.

Gwen stretched forward her hands that were stretched sideways before and the stakes flew forward and pierced the beast which was crawling forward with speed and approaching them.

Gwen formed another batch of frozen stakes and directed them to pierced the beast this time around the beast roared loudly and landed within a thud.

The lady ran and crashed into Calanthe's arm crying while Calanthe comforted her and stroked her green hair gently. When Gwen was sure that the beast was dead she stopped her powers.

Although Gwen was weak due the amount of her powers she used, she still rushed to come meet them .

“ What kind of beast is that? “ Gerald asked as Gwen approached them, but Gwen didn't answer and seemed annoyed for reasons unknown to Gerald.

He felt bad and powerless that he couldn't do anything and resolved to tell Calanthe to teach him how to unlock his powers that night.

“ What's your name and where are you from? “ Gerald asked the lady and when she turned to look at Gerald so she could answer him she gasped as she looked into his eyes.

“ You…You’re him…The chosen one who would save and unite all seven kingdoms “ The lady said with Happiness and cleaned her eyes. Gerald for a moment thought it wasn't genuine but decided to let it slide because the girl looked petit and harmless.

“ I am Pitney of Gale. I was accused wrongly and my people brought me here to die “ Pitney said and began sobbing bitterly but smirked hiddenly when she saw them consoling her.

“ Don’t worry Pitney you are safe now “ Gerald assured her before walking away to survey the area and make sure there was danger around before he came back to meet the women.

“ We'll camp here tonight , '' Gerald said when he came back with wood in his hands. He set up a campfire, he could easily do so because he was a scout member when he was in high school and became their leader when he got into college.

Calanthe and Gwen brought down their blankets and mat which was attached to the saddle of the horse they rode, so did Gerald.They arranged it and Calanthe gave Pitney an extra mat and blanket.

Calanthe always took an extra mat and blanket when going on journeys like this because she knew it would come in handy if they ran into situations like this.They roasted meat and all ate while Pitney told them tales about her town.

“ Calanthe please can I talk to you privately for a moment? “ Gerald asked and Calanthe nodded as they both stood up and left the others chatting.

When Gerald and Calanthe were a safe distance away, Gerald let out a breath and said in a rush “ I want you to help me unlock my powers tonight, I'm tired of not being helpful when we face danger “.

Calanthe chuckled and nodded her head in understanding “ Is that why you refused to put down your father's sword that you strapped at your back “ Calanthe said jokingly trying to lessen Gerald's mood because she saw that he was burdened over the issue.

“ Just help me, “ Gerald said desperately and also with determination.

“ I will, that's before sunset tomorrow, as for now we need to rest, “ Calanthe said with finality and patted his shoulders lightly before walking back to join Pitney and Gwen giving no room for further argument, while Gerald rolled his eyes at what Calanthe said but had no option than to go back to join them.

“ So he hasn't unlocked his powers yet. It's now or never Pitney, they don't know what's coming for them “ Pitney thought to herself and smirked. She had heightened hearing, therefore she easily heard what Calanthe and Gerald just discussed.
