Chapter 12

Atlas looked up at the blue sky, the atmosphere was not noisy with the sunlight warm enough. He managed to escape from a house with many condescending people briefly.

Footsteps sounded, Atlas didn't move, he was still looking at the sky above him.

"I don't like this." Her cold voice matched her expression. Only a few times, Atlas heard her voice, but he had memorized it was Alison's voice.

"I don't like you being here. Go back to your village, I will give you money.” Alison took a check out of the little bag she was still holding and wrote 1000 dollars. She thought that would be plenty for the poor man in the cheap clothes in front of her.

"This is for you. I don't want to marry you. Everyone will laugh at me."

Atlas finally moved, and he looked over. The check paper in front of him. It's a decent amount, but his face is flat at the sight of Alison.

"Miss, listen to your grandfather's words yourself. You shouldn't act like this, do you want to go against Grandfather's words.”
