The Mission: The beginning(1) Prologue
Five years ago,M.A.S.K.S headquarters, "Open the gates!" Someone yelled as five black convoys passed through three gigantic gates. The convoy stopped in front of a skyscraper and two guards wearing red masks rushed out of two Benz to open the car door of the limousine, which was the last vehicle. Three men came out of the limousine with masks on. Their faces were not visible because of the mask, but they all had a unique height. It is tall like a giant but lean like a pawpaw tree. They all had different colored masks on. Two of them had black and yellow masks on, respectively, while the last one had a white mask on. Five years later,"Are you all ready for the war?" Austin addressed his team. "I said, are you all ready for the war?" He shouted."Yes, sir!" His team responded.This mission is to die. A soldier is a modern warrior, and we should be ready to face death for our country's sake. What are we? ""Rangers!" They all responded."And what do we do?" The next day, Austin found himself in front of the military building. It was a skyscraper of only ten floors. Outside the building were two flags, one belonging to Medianda, which was purple and white, while the second belonged to the military, which was brown and white. Austin walked into the building, and the few soldiers that saw him saluted him as he made his way into the elevator. Just as the doors to the elevator were closing, a woman rushed in."Damn! I'm late, " The woman said nothing in particular to anyone. Austin ignored the woman's disrespect and tried to place his hand on the eighth floor, but the woman beat him to it. "Oh! It seems we are going to the same floor. " She said Austin ignored her again and looked away. Austin didn't know why a woman whose long braided black hair covered half of her face was on an elevator ride with him. Austin couldn't believe he was back where he grew up. The place he once called home had turned to nothing but piles of dust. He walked to where his father's house was once built. It had turned into a place for all different kinds of leaves. He could remember how he and his father used to run around that house when he was five until his father left. Austin frowned at his face when he remembered how his father left him and his mother. Austin walked to the tree as instructed by his father. A small hole was imprinted in the middle of the tree, and when Austin pressed it, the ground opened."What the hell?"Austin thought, as he never imagined that his father could build something like that. "That's something," Kemisola exclaimed when Austin shot the last creature. A hundred creatures entered the base camp, and all of them were shot on the head by the soldiers."We have to burn their bodies until they are ashes." Austin said to the rest of the soldiers. Austin groaned out in pain when he felt an aching pain in both his legs. He couldn't hear a thing for five minutes after the fall. When he struggled to open his eyes, he pushed the rock on his legs away and managed to stand up. He had no idea where they had fallen, but he figured it was a tunnel. Rays of light from the sun brightened the tunnel through the hole, which made it easier for him to see. "Can anyone hear me please?" He shouted, and his voice echoed through the tunnel.
