Glenda and Lance stood staring at each other, their lips still tingling from the unexpected kiss they had just shared. Glenda's eyes darted around the corner as she tried to make sense of what had just happened. She had never felt this way before and it was all so confusing.

Lance stood there, a bemused expression on his face, watching as Glenda backed away from him. He could tell that she was feeling guilty and he was trying to figure out why.

Glenda looked at Lance, her eyes searching his face. She finally found the words she was looking for and asked, "Lance, what about Mara? Don't you have any feelings for her?"

Lance's eyes softened and he gave a small smile. He reached out and gently ruffled Glenda's hair, trying to soothe her out of her jealousy. "No, Glenda. Mara is just a friend. I care about her, but not in the way you're thinking."
