Showdown-1

The feeling of space movement overwhelmed his body for a millisecond before he found himself standing outside a bleak and malicious-looking cemetery with two iron bar gates at some distance from each other. Inside the graves could be seen along with the screams, growls, and moans pervading the area.

The source of these sounds and the heavy atmosphere could not be seen but The feeling of death and destruction rumbled about as the mist in the air obscured the sight along with the certainty of life.

The strong stench of blood and decay permeated around as the initial surprise at his speed at the moment he passed by the guards vanished as a solemn expression appeared on his face. As he entered the dungeon he became aware of the situation inside a little bit by the aura emanating from the area deeper inside the graveyard.

"It's really powerful," he said as he began to ponder on his next course of action. Because the feeling inside his body to rush in was stronger as he came inside the dungeon. What prevented him from hastily entering inside was the aura coming from inside.

Alex had the thought to send in clones to check the situation inside or more possibly he could just use the clones and control them from far away to fight from a distance without having to go inside himself. But the powerful energy emanating from inside made it clear that clones would not be enough and he had to go inside himself.

But making clones his vanguard was possible so he started to gather his energies.

Poof!

Poof!

Poof!

With smoke spreading outside the graveyard twenty-something clones were made. It has to be noted that Alex could only make about a few clones before but now he could make so many and the reason behind it was very simple.

After absorbing the clones he left behind for cultivation and the mana cores he absorbed along with the deletion of hundreds of skills made the mana core inside his body bigger and more compact. The mana inside was more saturated and it had already liquefied from its gaseous state.

And now it was showing signs of solidifying into a crystal form. This made the mana inside his body more robust and it made it so that Alex could make over twenty clones with all of his mana.

But this drained mana was not significant in a fight so he had to make some of his clones to gather mana and then reabsorb them during the fight. He also had to replicate simple swords for them and make a replicated sword clone for himself.

This preparation took some time as the clones and Alex himself absorbed mana and made disruptions in the atmosphere that didn't spread far away and Alex along with the clones with swords in their hands moved inside.

Alex stayed at the back as the telekinetic radar and further telekinetic abilities that he used to make his defensive cloak swirled around his body. These twenty-something people with the same dress and face would frighten anybody who happens to see them walk in such a rhythmic manner.

Step!

A rhythmic step resounded in the air he stopped as soon as he stepped inside because he could hear movement in the graves scattered around and he could sense dark energy swirling in the corpses in those graves. So he replicated a simple spear and thrust it inside one of the dungeons as a rage scream echoed from

Inside.

And certainly wrecked hands with rotten flesh dangling on them came out as the skeleton and zombies filled the area. The ground should have been demolished or at least have signs of the battle that happened a few hours ago but it was as if the undead were just coming out and they have always been the inside those graves.

Growl!

Moan!

The moaning and growling sound echoed in the air as Alex immediately got into action and utilized telekinesis to crush them easily making it evident that his mana was not the only thing that got stronger and the soul was the same even if it was incomplete it was strong.

Smash!

Bam!

The skeletons were smashed into chunks of bones easily as the zombies were crushed and it seemed very easy that it was not even draining for him. This ease made him have the illusion that these undead creatures were very weak but in fact, they were the same as before the thing that changed from the fights before was that he became unimaginably strong in a short amount of time.

"They are really weak, should be about C-Rank or something lower," Alex stated as he moved forward with a sword in his hands and came forward. Alex stood in front of the clones and undead creatures rushed toward him but he just swung his sword and two skeletons and a zombie were cut in half while a strong gust of wind traveled along the trajectory making an arc in the air.

Swish!

This gust of wind further pushed several undead creatures back a few steps. Making it evident that the zombies were not the reason that got him to have no difficulty crushing them. But it was he, himself that was stronger than before these creatures were like flies buzzing around.

Alex looked at his sword held in his left hand with astonishment. He was dazzled by his strength because it was unimaginable for him to one day have such strength but it was real and his hands trembled and blood rushed inside his veins because he was excited.

"Hehehe, nice," Alex commented on this development as his eyes shone a luminous light and his cheeks stretched into a devilish grin. Alex clenched his hands tightly as he stated firmly. "Nice work Alex! Now you just have to keep moving and become the strongest."

Alex spoke to himself from a third-person point of view in a unique manner and encouraged himself to keep getting stronger. It seemed strange because he didn't have a particular goal or vengeance that drove him to get stronger and there was no need to get stronger for him because he hadn't yet faced the troubles that a cultivator faced that pushed them to become stronger or get killed.

And there was no particular incident that happened in his previous life that could push him to attain a higher level of strength. So this determined tone of his when he talked about getting stronger seemed too out of place. Maybe even he was not sure why he wanted to get stronger but this desire was part of his instincts and mixed in his bones.

But the reason for that was not necessary right now because a zombie lunged at him as he was distracted by his astonishment at his strength. As the zombie got closer to him and entered his telekinetic radar he immediately sensed it and casually gazed at it languidly looking fully indifferent.

The technique he made called the Aversion Cloak, born from a mixture of telekinetic abilities like maneuver, push/ pull, and radar worked at this moment as the zombie clawed at him. Alex was indifferent and unfazed and Just as its fingernails were about to touch his face and injure it. They seemingly touched a slippery surface and slipped to the side of his face. He smirked as he swung his right hand at its neck and chopped it in half.

"Too easy!"

The toothy grin never left his face as he started to move forward while crushing the undead with his bare hands, telekinetic tentacles, and sometimes his sword. The clines followed behind as they treated the undead in the same manner.

He moved at an unhurried pace until the bad feeling in his soul became stronger. Convinced and confident of his strength, he rushed deeper inside while crushing the undead creatures that got in his way and smashed into him. The clones moved forward right behind him as the clones sitting in the back also came inside to assist.

In a few minutes, he came near the underground room and saw the tomb with its open gate and hundreds of undead creatures rushing towards him from all directions. The powerful energy could easily be felt at this distance clearly and the feeling of wanting to rush in became clearer making it evident that the traitor-clone was with the dungeon boss.

--

The dungeon boss lich moved at a really fast speed like a flash of light and in the blink of an eye arrived behind the clone of Alex before anybody could react. It had bloodthirsty rage in its empty eye sockets. The members of the mixed alliance were in despair watching this occur but they were powerless to do anything but watch.

Its magical staff moved at a fast speed to slash at the clone. But the clone at the final movement was not even concerned with the staff rushing at his head from behind and looked on as a thought echoed inside his head.

"Well? Are you going to let it kill yourself?" this thought echoed inside his mind seemingly asking someone in his head. Thoughts traveled at a shocking speed and the movement speed of the lich could not compare to it.

Although the clone seemingly said it to no one and this thought only echoed inside his mind. But as soon as it echoed, rumbling sounds reverberated from outside and a spear came rushing in through the roof and lunged itself toward the dungeon boss at a shocking rate. It was going straight for the kill by stabbing its mana core.

Bam!

Crash!

The lich had also sensed a strong adversary coming for him and this spear brought about a strong danger to him and it reacted quickly and got out of the trajectory of the spear. Alex rushed in from the stairs and pounced at the dungeon boss who responded by swinging his magic staff at him.

Boom!

The sword and the staff moved swiftly as they collided in midair. Shockwaves spread in the atmosphere.
