Chapter 21

As Aiden got into the hall, the rest of the students turned to stare at him. They knew that he was one of those less privileged students who stayed away from such events because they could not afford it.

When they began to point fingers at him and laugh, he began to feel embarrassed, but he bore in mind that he did not have to feel inferior to any of them.

"I see that you succeeded in borrowing a suit for this occasion," Jason began as he walked up to him, holding Alice to his side. She was dressed in a beautiful red dress that accentuated her curves. She looked very elegant but he did not stare at her for a second time.

Aiden did not say anything to Jason but kept his cool. Even though the other students scorned him, he knew that it was better that way than to engage in any banter with Jason at this time.

The event soon started and everyone looked up to the podium where the principal of the school was presenting a speech. When he was done, there was a thunderous roar of applause
