Departure

"Her Highness the princess, Adaline. Shouldn't you be having magic class in your room?" offended one of the witches.

Princess Adaline did not answer the witch's question. Precisely the eyes stared very sharp at Erland. Then irritably walking ahead of all the envoys, Erland grinned at the departure of the daughter of the king of Monesta.

"Sir, how did you know Adaline's daughter?" Daran asked curiously.

Erland walked again. Choosing not to answer, clearly made Daran gasp in annoyance. While one of the magicians named Dixon approached, the third son of the Blackton family, the smith of magic swords and weapons.

"You are the guard, but don't you know that Mr. Aaron often takes Erland to the palace? Erland and daughter Adaline have often played together since childhood," Dixon told him.

Laura pricked up her ears. Then the eyes stared at Erland's back which was getting farther away. Even so, Erland still knew that Laura was looking at him. Until Erland turned around and met Laura's gaze.

"Why did you turn your head like that," Laura muttered very softly and her head tilted.

About half a day, the three groups walked through the forest. Arthur appears to be opening a magic map that leads to the city Casey is locked up. Then explained to the magicians. While Erland was just busy sitting on the rocks and wearing a head robe.

"We're going to Blair town, aren't we? Shouldn't we be riding there?"

Erland glanced, he saw the fairy Laura slowly inched closer to him. Among the many witches, Laura instead chose to ask Erland. It made him grin, clearly understanding that this little elf was just like any woman out there. Interested in the good looks of Erland.

"Yes, we are going to the town of Blair. But you shouldn't need horses, because there are only meadows there," it wasn't Erland who answered, but Daran, of course making Laura sigh.

Erland glanced. "Don't take the prairie lightly. After all, the town was deserted after Casey released demonic energy."

"There must be something there, right, Master Erland?" Laura asked making Erland just stare, but didn't answer.

"I'm talking to you, Master Erland," Laura reminded him.

However, Erland instead stood up from his seat and walked over to Arthur. That made Laura clenched her fists in annoyance, while Daran looked at the beautiful Laura with slight interest.

"Miss Laura--"

Daran sighed as he watched Laura walk away. Then Daran's eyes stared at Erland, more specifically at the sword hanging at his waist.

"Edmond's sword," Daran muttered, "a sword that absorbs someone else's energy with a single touch."

Because of the order of the Monesta king. Arthur changed the journey that originally passed through only three cities inhabited by residents, to pass through six cities for their secret journey. So that none of the residents become restless because of Casey's awakening.

Currently the 22 envoys of the king, began to be in front of the city gates of Blair. But their feet suddenly stopped, Blair is a city with green meadows and overgrown with flowers. Now ... it looks gloomy and the grass is black.

"Sir Arthur, are we going to cross the town of Blair empty-handed?" asked one of the witches.

Arthur stared into the darkness inside. "I think I should send something over there. Can anyone summon animals with their magic?"

Hearing the word animal, Erland immediately pushed Daran's shoulder forward. All eyes were on Daran who was looking at his master annoyed.

"You can use it as bait, Arthur," Erland said coldly.

Daran sighed in annoyance. "How can you ask your own men to go there, sir?"

Erland glared. "Because I don't like you."

Daran suddenly smiled and performed a binding spell. "Shouldn't you come inside too?"

Erland grinned. Then chose to walk first and turn on the light with his magic. Just a little bit, but all the darkness in the city of Blair had disappeared. Countless fireflies flew up into the sky, illuminating the city of Blair.

"Wow, beautiful," marveled one of the fairies.

When some people want to come closer and catch the fireflies. Erland immediately forbade them with his hand. Erland's eyes narrowed, then looked back.

"Arthur, cast a magic veil," Erland ordered and without needing to hear an explanation, Arthur immediately did.

Erland drew his sword, the blue light made everyone feel amazed. In contrast to Laura, who narrowed her eyes, seemed to have heard of that type of sword. Erland swung the sword at one of the fireflies. The energy released can reach the animal that is 1 km from its body.

In a hurry Erland made a magic veil for himself. As soon as the energy channeled by Erland through the sword hit the firefly and immediately an explosion sound was heard and an extraordinary shock occurred on the ground of Blair city. Meanwhile Arthur was stunned as the magic veil slightly cracked.

"That's how strong the explosion was," Arthur muttered.

In an instant Erland removed the magic veil that was completely uncracked. Daran was silent when he saw the great power in Erland.

"You are more than a high level wizard, but why don't you be sacrificed in the river Elmer, sir?" asked Daran who was standing behind him.

Erland glanced. "Then the king must give up his throne for taking the life of the Beardsley family."

Daran was silent. The sorcerers who really supported, as well as kept the Dalbert family kings every generation, were the Beardsley family.

"We just need to avoid the fireflies, as long as that our lives will be safe," warned Erland.

Apparently it was these fireflies that made the meadows that were originally green turn dark but strangely they didn't dry up, but died immediately. Arthur walked with Erland and made a path that could be walked by wizards, fairies and two dragons.

It should be night. However, because of the fireflies that were scattered in the meadows and sky, it made the night atmosphere very bright. Arthur seemed to be staring at a location that felt quite wide.

"I need help, five wizards and two dragons to make a magic veil," Arthur asked looking at the two groups.

Daran saw several people coming forward and asked Erland. "Sir, why would they want to make a magic screen? Can it be used while walking and protect us even if we get hit by a firefly?"

Erland glanced. "It's obvious that we will rest here."

Daran stared in surprise. "What? Sleep here! In this place that could explode at any moment?"

All eyes immediately stared in surprise at Daran's scream. Due to knowing the fact that a magic veil was used to protect them while sleeping. Several witches started to doubt. Making Erland intervene and approach Arthur.

"I'll make it with you, let the fireflies crash into the curtain wall and explode. Let all the people inside explode too because the screen isn't strong enough," said Erland.

The wizard who had volunteered earlier began to approach again and made a magic veil together with Arthur. While Erland did not do it.

After making the magic veil. Everyone started sleeping and keeping watch in shifts. Daran and Erland chose to sleep on a tree branch. Erland's eyes glanced at the lower branches, Daran was already fast asleep.

Meanwhile, Erland, who was originally holding his sword, was shining red. Now starting to rise, silently escaping from the enchanted veil and flying through the tree branches with the speed of lightning.

Daran's eyes opened for a moment. "That sword... feels the devil energy here."
