Chapter 4

That evening, the sky began to dim, covering the city in shades of orange and purple. Arion hurriedly grabbed his bicycle and rode straight toward Amanda’s residence.

“Ring, ring, ring...” the sound of Arion’s bicycle bell echoed repeatedly.

Crash!

“Damn it!” Arion got into an accident while riding his bike. By mistake, he had run into a girl. The girl fell to the ground, her body already covered in blood.

“Shit!” Arion cursed in frustration and immediately panicked. He quickly dropped his bicycle and crouched beside the girl. “Hey, hey, wake up! If you want to scam someone, go for a car. I’m poor, I’ve got no money!” he said while patting her cheek several times.

The girl slowly opened her half-closed eyes, glanced at Arion, and murmured weakly, “Hurry... go.”

“What the...” Arion furrowed his thick brows.

He was utterly confused and didn’t know what to do. Instead of blaming him, the girl told him to leave.

“Nadine Frinchy is over there, chase her!” suddenly, a loud voice came from the distance.

“That girl dared to kick me. Bring her back, punish her first, then make her talk!” shouted one man furiously.

“Take her to the base!” another man barked, clearly full of rage.

Three men came running straight toward Arion and the girl.

At last, Arion quickly understood — the girl was being chased by those men.

Without hesitation, Arion lifted the girl in his arms, turned around, and ran as fast as lightning. Luckily, he now had the power of the Demon Sealing Sword. Carrying a girl like this felt like nothing to him.

“Put... put me down...” the girl pleaded weakly.

“Shut up. If you keep talking, I really will drop you!” Arion threatened.

The men cursed angrily behind them, sounding like a bunch of thugs and bandits. How could Arion let them harm such a beautiful girl?

Right now, Arion felt fired up and strong, like a soldier burning with determination to protect the weak.

After running for a while, Arion turned into a dead-end alley. The girl in his arms had completely fainted. He laid her down on the asphalt and searched her body from top to bottom but found no phone he could use to contact her family. Maybe she had lost it. Still, he noticed how soft her body felt...

“Master, this beautiful girl is on the verge of death!” Nara’s voice suddenly rang out, reminding Arion to focus instead of admiring her.

“Then... how do I save her?” Arion asked, snapping back to reality and realizing how dire her condition was.

“Master, you can save her!” Nara urged confidently.

“What?!” Arion was shocked. He was a computer expert, not a doctor. Asking him to save someone’s life was far too much!

“My lord, the solution lies within the Demon Sealing Sword,” Nara assured him.

“Why didn’t you say so earlier!” Arion retorted.

As soon as Arion entered the realm of the Demon Sealing Sword again, he was transported into an enormous chamber. Nara pulled him toward the sword and said, “Master, within the second seal, there is something that can heal illnesses and save lives.”

Following Nara’s gaze, Arion finally understood. The gems embedded in the sword were actually seals.

He couldn’t allow the girl to die right before his eyes. Looking at the seal, he asked Nara, “How do I open it?”

“Simply use the power of the sealing incantation.” Nara clenched her fist and gave a strong demonstration for Arion to follow.

Arion pressed his lips tightly, gathered as much energy as possible, and with a strike, the gemstone before him shattered and fell to the ground. The same spot on the Demon Sealing Sword transformed, revealing a door.

“Master, you’ve broken the seal. Please, go inside!” Nara gestured.

Arion immediately stepped through the door. Inside was a boundless chamber filled with thriving herbs — ginseng and roots he recognized, growing wildly like grass.

At the center stood a massive bookshelf lined with countless ancient books radiating a mystical aura. They weren’t just medical texts. At the top of the shelf gleamed thirteen golden needles.

Before attempting to save the girl, Arion chose to read the books. He skimmed quickly, absorbing the knowledge, until at last he reached for the golden needles with determination.

Clang!

Suddenly, information about the golden needles filled his mind. They were a long-lost medical art from the old era, known as the Golden Needle Technique. This technique could heal diseases, save lives, punish the wicked, and eliminate evil.

Arion smiled in satisfaction. He exited the Demon Sealing Sword, clutching the golden needles, and crouched beside the girl.

He focused. Once again, his X-ray vision activated, and the girl’s clothes seemed to vanish. Arion was momentarily stunned by the sight.

“Master, really...? Saving her is more important right now, isn’t it?” Nara’s voice scolded him back to focus.

“I... I’m just looking for the right acupuncture points...” Arion explained nervously, clearing his throat to cover his embarrassment.

This time, he concentrated fully. He saw the girl’s injuries — her chest area was badly damaged, her heart and lungs impacted, which had caused her to faint. “This is serious trauma...” Arion muttered.

He quickly inserted a golden needle into the precise acupuncture point. Instantly, the bleeding stopped. With three more insertions in different spots, the wound began closing rapidly, right before Arion’s eyes.

“This Golden Needle Technique is truly miraculous!” Arion marveled.

“You brat, trying to play hero for a woman, are you?”

The three men who had been chasing them finally caught up. Arion turned his head, shocked to see them pointing pistols at him.

“Haha, now you see, the fate of a hero saving a beauty is death!” one man sneered, brandishing a weapon.

“But dying with such a beauty... isn’t that worth it?” another mocked, raising his gun and aiming at Arion.

“What the hell, isn’t it too much to just shoot right away?!” Arion exclaimed in shock.

Gunshots rang out.

“Master, Nara will protect you!” Nara cried.

Arion felt a chill on his forehead, then a purple figure appeared before him.

It was Nara, standing in front of him in her small fairy form. With her delicate hands, she effortlessly caught the bullet.

The sight left the three men utterly stunned.
