The murderous intent radiating from Nara was so cold and intense that the three men before her could feel it clearly.

“Y-you... who are you, really?” the voice of the man who had fired earlier was already trembling.

Nara ignored the three of them. With swift movements, leaving only an afterimage behind, she suddenly appeared right in front of the man. Her small hand gripped his neck with terrifying strength.

No one could even see how her hand moved. What happened next was that the man’s neck had already snapped without anyone realizing it, his head hanging at an impossible angle.

Three seconds later, his body finally collapsed to the ground.

Silence fell. Not a single sound was made, creating an eerie stillness.

When the other two men realized what had happened, their hearts turned cold. The figure before them was no girl—it was a demon. Even though they held weapons, they no longer felt any sense of safety. They were completely intimidated by this Nara alone.

Even Arion himself had doubted at first, because Nara seemed nothing more than a cute little girl. Who would have thought she could act so decisively and ruthlessly?

“Let’s go!”

The two men swallowed hard, then immediately turned and ran in the opposite direction from Nara.

Nara sneered with her chilling aura. The purple shadow moved again—she wouldn’t let them escape so easily.

Thud, thud!

Two sounds rang out in succession. The two men who tried to flee were also slain by Nara. They collapsed lifeless beside the first man, their final breath gone.

“Everyone freeze, this is the police!”

From outside the alley came the sound of hurried footsteps.

Sensing the arrival of the police officers, Arion quickly waved his hand toward Nara. “Let’s get out of here!” he urged.

“If the police see this scene, I can’t even imagine how much trouble I’ll face afterward,” Arion muttered, realizing just how dangerous his situation was.

Thanks to Nara’s incredible help, Arion was able to leave the scene with ease.

As he departed, the girl who had been lying unconscious on the asphalt slowly opened her eyes. She caught a glimpse of Arion’s figure vanishing behind the tall wall.

“Huff!”

Arion had managed to escape. Now he was walking again along the main road. The sky had turned completely dark. The events of today had truly shocked him and stirred his heart.

“Nara, remember this—after today, you can’t just appear and kill people at will.” Arion spoke to her in his mind.

Even though Arion had gained power from the Demon Sealing Sword, he knew he was far from perfect. The sword’s existence must not be revealed to others, so he could continue to learn more about his new strength.

“Master, why? Why did those people want to kill you?” Nara asked, utterly confused.

“Nara, I’ll explain it to you later.” Arion felt there was no way he could give her a clear answer in such a short time.

Eventually, Arion arrived at Amanda’s residence—his unfaithful lover. By coincidence, a luxury car, a Land Rover, appeared, carrying Martin Winzy. The car stopped right in front of Arion. In the back seat, Amanda was clinging to Martin like an octopus, paying no attention at all to the driver at the wheel.

When she saw Arion suddenly appear, Amanda was shocked. Her face turned pale with fear at being caught cheating on him.

“Arion, what are you doing here?” Amanda asked nervously after stepping out of the car.

Arion smirked. Just from the ring on Amanda’s finger, he could tell they had been together for a long time—something he had already suspected.

“Tch, Amanda, I came here just to tell you that I don’t need you anymore. From now on, I’ve thrown you away!” Arion shouted, venting the resentment from his past life.

His furious cry drew the attention of passersby, who stopped to watch.

Amanda’s expression shifted completely. At first she looked nervous at Arion’s sudden appearance, but now she gave him a cold smile and leaned mischievously against Martin’s embrace. “Arion, since you’ve seen it, that saves me the trouble of explaining. The man I truly love is Mr. Martin.”

Martin mocked Arion in a cold tone. “Who do you think you are? Filthy and poor! Do you really think you deserve such a beautiful girlfriend?”

“Darling, go on ahead to the villa and wait for me there. Let the driver take you home.” Martin deliberately spoke loudly, then leaned in to kiss Amanda right in front of Arion.

Amanda left without mercy, not even sparing Arion a glance. She immediately followed Martin’s instructions.

“Arion, Amanda is mine now. But I never expected—she was still a virgin. Doesn’t that mean you’ve lost completely? Haha! You tried to protect her purity, yet she gave it to me so easily.” Martin laughed uproariously.

“Lost? Heh.” Arion chuckled, sneering coldly with indifference. He actually felt fortunate to have seen Amanda’s true face early on.

“Yes, she’s beautiful. But don’t you realize what she wants? Isn’t it just your money? If this Land Rover were mine, do you think she’d still follow you?”

Hearing Arion’s words, Martin burst out laughing, bending over in amusement.

“Hahaha...” Martin laughed uncontrollably. “You’re dreaming! In your whole life, you’ll never own a car like this. You pathetic fool!”

The more Martin mocked, the more excited he became. “Arion, here’s the Land Rover right here. I’ll give you a chance. If you can beat me, this car is yours. How about it?”

“You’d better keep your word!” Arion shot back, accepting the challenge. He hadn’t come today looking for trouble, but since the opportunity to deal with Martin had presented itself, he wouldn’t waste it.

“Hah, you’re aiming too high. This counts as a bet. My wager is this car. And you—what do you have to stake against me?” Martin deliberately pressed Arion, trying to humiliate him in front of the growing crowd.

“What if I bet my life?” Arion replied casually, as if it were nothing at all.

He didn’t dare provoke her now.“Arion… who are you, really?!” Sandra demanded suddenly, eyes filled with suspicion.“You’ve already investigated me so thoroughly, and you’re still asking that?” Arion replied dryly, tension thick in the air.“Whatever. Just listen, stay close to Nadine. Don’t leave her side, no matter what happens,” Sandra said sternly, rubbing her temples as if her head were splitting open.“What happened?” Arion asked, frowning. Whatever could make this woman panic

“Where are you taking me?” he asked, gripping the car door handle tightly as the car roared forward. He began to wonder if Sandra’s car ran on gasoline, or pure alcohol, judging by the way she was driving like a madwoman.“Relax. I’m taking you to see your lovely lady,” she said with a smirk, eyes fixed on the road. “Nadine, the woman who actually sees you, this scoundrel, as something precious.”Arion blinked, confused. He didn’t know Clarissa that well. Was it really fine to have so many people suddenly staying at her place? “So here’s the thing… I once learned a few martial arts moves from an old man in the village. Every time I manage to survive danger, it’s thanks to those skills,” Arion said with a casual smile. Sandra snorted, clearly unconvinced. “Really? You think I’m going to believe that nonsense?” Arion just shrugged, not bothering to argue. “See? I told you, you wouldn’t believe me.” Sandra folded her arms across her chest, her gaze sharp as a blade. “These four men all have gunshot wounds. Do you think I’m blind?” Arion remained calm, as if he had anticipated the question. “Actually, there were five of them. Four here were already weakened, and the last one… he killed them. I just took the opportunity and struck when he was off guard. The rest… you can see for yourself.” Without hesitation, Arion pointed out the location where the fifth man had fallen. Sandra fell silent for a moment, her expression pensive, as if she was starting to consider that Arion might not be entirely lying. “Chec

“What did they go through before dying?” Sandra wondered silently. There was no time to dwell. She quickly ordered her team to secure the scene, then approached Nadine with concern. “Nadine, are you all right?”Nadine shook her head faintly, regret shadowing her eyes.Sandra, usually cool and composed, softened her tone, perhaps because of her friendship with Nadine. She even turned to Olafia kindly. “Don’t worry. We’ll keep you both safe,” she assured.“Thank you… I’m all right,” Olafia replied, her voice steadier now though still trembling.“Olafia, your house is a disaster, it’s not safe to stay here. The station has a staff residence. I can arrange two rooms for you,” Sandra offered thoughtfully.Nadine shook her head gently. “Sandra, you have work to do here. Don’t worry about us. I’ll take Olafia to Clarissa’s place.”“All right,” Sandra agreed, signaling two officers. “I’ll have my men escort you.”But before they could move, Arion interjected, “That won’t be necessary.
