Chapter 203

"What about your brother?"

As Sophia heard Rose ask and she realized that she had trailed off in the process of trying to force the zip of the bag. She sighed and plopped her butt in the bag. Instead of multitasking and being unable to achieve anything she can as well attend to one at a time so she focused on her phone call with Rose.

"Yeah, my brother. He's actually having his last operation this morning."

Sophia had received a call from the hospital the previous morning that she was needed at the hospital as the operation would be carried out on her brother that morning. She was slightly vexed that they hadn't deemed it fit to inform her when she was there yesterday so that she'd have enough time to prepare as she usually slept over at the hospital after his surgeries but she hadn't said anything. She had just pressed her lips tight and asked, "My brother is alright, right?"

"Of Course! You saw him yesterday, didn't you?"

"And you saw me too, you dumbo!" Instead, she smiled, forc
