Chapter 1

“Young master, madam had no choice but to abandon you back then. She had her reasons for doing such.”

There was silence.

“Young master, as at the time madam left you behind, her life and yours were at stake. If she hadn’t taken such a drastic decision, neither of you would have been alive today.”

“Madam had no choice but to marry into the Lannister’s family to live to fight another day. Now, madam has successfully gained control of the business world, owning a billion assets, the government gave her the monopoly right to control building cement. She’s the only manufacturer of building cement in the United States of America.”

“She knew everything was her fault, she realized her mistake and so wanted to have a face time with you. Everything she has is being transferred to you.” The stranger's persistent voice continues to ring through the air.

Despite the consistent pleading, Andre Spencer continued with what he was doing. He was taking out a message from the dispatcher box, feigning deafness while they pleaded.

After delivering the message, he hopped onto his rider and kicked the machine to life.

“Tell her, her son is long dead. She must’ve mistaken me for her son. No reasonable or responsible mother would have left her 10 years old son in place of a dick.”

“Madam couldn’t take you along! If she had taken you along, the Lannister would have kicked her out!” The stranger quickly said in defense of his master.

“In other words, she’d prefer a rich husband over her first fruit, isn’t it?” Andre asked and drove off.

Andre drove off leaving the stranger in his forties behind to a catch-22 situation.

Fifteen years ago, the Spencer family was a first-class family in Washington, but they stepped on the tail of a dark mafia lord who didn’t hesitate but to wipe them off, including their business leaving to ground only Andre and his mother.

When Andre was abandoned by his mother, he was taken in by Michael Sparrow who was once a beneficiary of the Spencer family. To pay back the favor he had received, he betrothed his daughter Yvonne Sparrow to Andre.

While Michael Sparrow was alive, Andre was treated well, but suddenly after his death, Andre became an object of ridicule at the hands of his mother-in-law, Hannah.

The Sparrow family was also considered a second-class family, with the patriarch Sparrow Tyrion at the top and three sons under his knees.

Today was the patriarch's 80th birthday, and many prominent families would be in attendance, even Andre was not excluded.

Andre was speeding on his rider to meet up with his wife Yvonne before she left for the birthday party. Although, they’ve been married for the past four years, and have never acted like a husband and wife before.

But, they always act perfectly like everything is alright whenever they appear in public to shut the negative comments from the netizens.

Just in time, Andre arrived right before Yvonne and her mother left the house. The Maybach motor was still neatly parked by the roadside.

He met Hannah, his mother-in-law in the compound and greeted her but was ignored.

“Mother, I’m greeting you!” Andre repeated.

He was ignored but welcomed with a shot pair of a glaring eye which spoke volumes.

“Who’s your mother? Do I look like a loser to you? How dare you call me mother, you cur!” Hannah chastised with a burning pair of eyes,

Despite her screaming, Andre still apologized.

“I’m sorry Mom if my words hurt you. Where’s Yvonne?”

While he was asking, Yvonne walked out of the house dressed in a red curvy dinner gown which shows her voluptuous curves, and her glowing clavicles under the ray of the beautiful moonlight. Andre couldn’t help but stare at her irresistible beauty, his lips were parted.

“Yvonne, you look so beautiful in this dress. Just a moment so I can change my jacket and join you.” Andre wheezed while trying to walk away.

“Joined me?” Yvonne rolled her vibrant pairs of blue eyes, furrowing her brows.

Andre nodded and she asked. “Join me to where?”

“To grandpa’s birthday of course,” he answered in his usual calm tone.

Bubbles of laughter erupted into the cool atmosphere at André's words.

“You,” Yvonne said, poking her fingers in the air at Andre as she looked at him in a demeaning way.

Andre cross-checked himself as Yvonne couldn’t stop glaring at him as if he was a piece of shit.

“Yes, any problem with that?” Andre answered, ignoring his wife’s belittling look.

“Do you want to embarrass me again? Do you want my uncles and my cousins to belittle me and my mom for the umpteenth time? Do you want to ruin the remaining of my 7 hours of the day ?” Yvonne blurted at Andre.

Andre was kind of lost so he had this puzzled look etching into his face.

“I don’t understand you.” He said in a slur trying to understand his wife’s words. “I’ll never ruin your day. Why would I?”

Yvonne ignored Andre and took some steps forward. She drew in some air and said, “Well, you don’t have to follow me to the party as my husband, I already found a replacement for you.” Yvonne dropped the shocking news.

Andre stood with an inexplicable expression.

“Replacement as how?” Andre inquired.

“Wait and see,” Yvonne replied.

A few minutes after Yvonne had spoken, a latest Lamborghini drove into the surroundings, and by the roadside. Andre watched as his wife’s attention darted towards the car, and how her lips had curled into a sweet smile.

He took into observation her body language especially when the door to the Lamborghini was opened, Yvonne seductively arraigned herself before sprinting towards a strange man.

The man opened wide his arms and as Yvonne slipped in his arms, he pressed his hands around her, smooching her ass. They even kissed.

Barely seeing his wife in another man’s hands engaging in a dirty intimacy affair, Andre lost his cool and approached them.

“Yvonne,” he called, pulling her away from the man’s hug.

“Why are you allowing yourself to be caressed by him? Don’t you know you’re married?” Andre inquired.

Other than him getting a response, he was welcomed with a dirty slap. It was Hannah, his mother-in-law.

“How dare you try to ruin my daughter’s great moment with your ill luck?” Hannah challenged him, but Andre ignored her.

“How dare you keep quiet on me, dog?” Hannah rebuffed, refusing to stand down,

“Mother, can’t you see Yvonne is rubbing her reputation in the mud by engaging in an adult scene with a strange man?” Andre tried to let Hannah see what her daughter, Yvonne was doing.

“And so? Look very well, does this man seem like a strange man?” Hannah scowled.

“I said you should look at the man’s face very well and tell me if he’s a bizarre man!” Hannah repeated in a stern tone.

Andre listened to Hannah’s words, taking a proper look at the man in front of him. At the recognition of the man, surprise and anger etched on Andre’s face.

Yet he couldn’t bring himself to lie.“Yes, Mother—”“And you still didn’t come to see me?” she cut him off. Chapter 47Back at the Rollins estate, chaos had erupted. Grandpa was pacing the living room, his face red and fury. Badmus had already smashed his glass of whiskey against the wall.“She’s ruined us!” Grandpa thundered. “She’s turned the entire country against us. Now, she's made us a target, Badmus! Every reporter will be digging into our history.” Badmus growled, “She didn’t name us, Father. But everyone will guess. The press already thinks it’s an internal feud.”Grandpa’s voice trembled with anger. “And where’s that useless husband of hers? This is his doing. He’s poisoned her mind!”Andre entered just then, his face unreadable, his shirt still stained faintly from the cut on his cheek. “If anyone poisoned her,” he said quietly, “it was this family.”Badmus took a threatening step forward. “Watch your tongue, boy. You think marrying into this family gives you power?”Andre gave a humorless smile. “No. But it gives me a front-row seat to your downfall.”Before either of them coul

Grandpa, Uncle Badmus, all of them. My mother’s missing, and they’re still talking about contracts!”Andre sighed, pulling her closer until her shaking body rested against his chest. “Listen to me. Go home. I’ll handle this.”“Handle?” she repeated bitterly. “How? You saw what they did. You saw how they treat you, like you’re nothing!”He didn’t flinch. “Exactly. They think I’m nothing.
