Chapter 13: Paying by Transfer

On the upper floor of vireli, everything looks dazzling. 

The soft buzz from the air conditioner mixed with hums from customers.

Sleeks cars, lines up at a side, gleaming under the light. At the centre of the flooring is a car on display, swirling in a circle, showing all edges for customers.

Jin stood, expression soft but eyes his lifted as he scanned around, taking in the breathtaking sight before him.

Jane glanced at him and smiled. “May we proceed to check them out sir?"  She said with a professional smile.

Jin nodded with pleasure, a gentle smile flashing subtly on his face.

Jane took him around. Customers who saw him checking out the cars moped at him as if wondering what a boy so Young is doing at vireli. 

Not the first floor or second floor! But on the upper floor of vireli! Where luxuries lie.

Jane pointed at a flashing black car. “Here. This is the Porsche 911 turbo S.” She started while Jin dipped his hand in his pocket, his eyes fixed on the car as he observed keenly.

“This car is not just speed. It is pure luxury and exclusive." Jane's smile spread on her face as she continued.

 "This car is called the beast of the road due to its insanely  powerful engine and speed. It moves like fluid."  She added smoothly, demonstrating each word with slight movement of hands.

“Looks good." Jin nodded, pleased but not satisfied.

As they stepped away from the spot to check out another car, his eyes fell on a blue car, attracting him to a halt. 

“That." He pointed in the direction of the car casually while his left hand rested on his pocket.

Jane followed the line and her eyes fell on the car. She shifted her eyes back to him, her smile slightly dropping and surprise glimmers in her eyes.

Her eyes lifted as he stared “The Royce rolls spectre?" She said softly, masking the disbelief in his voice.

Jin glanced at her, noting her shift in stance but then he simply nodded without a word.

As Jin trailed behind her, heading in the direction of the car out, a man impeccably dressed in a crisp blue suit came out through another door with a guy who looks quite rich with a silver chain which has the pendant dollar dangling around his neck following him behind. 

He dressed stylishly in a white shirt which displayed the image of a Rick Ross, a popular hip-hop star  at the front while a ripped black jean rested lazily below his waist, revealing the golden belt threading through the belt hole.

“Yo.. I'm gonna check out some damn insane car!!" The guy bounced like a tennis ball, following the manager.

They were also walking in the direction of the Rolls royce spectre.

Jin and Jane had stopped before the car and she was explaining some features  to him.

“...this is the most expensive car we have here currently. The engine is fire and this body is not just made for fancy, it is strength and power.."

“Yeah! This is the beast! Spartan of the road!!" A voice boomed behind, cutting Jane off.

She shifted her gaze back to see the guy with the silver chain standing with the manager of vireli standing beside him.

Jane stepped aside gently, her demeanor  indicating respect and she greeted the manger with a slight bow of head.

The manager simply raised his hand, reciprocating the greeting. His expression was frigid and unfathomable.

Jane looked at the guy wondering who he was. The manager doesn't just come out of his office except  if they have an Vip customer.

This guy must be an important customer. Jane concluded in her thoughts.

“I'm taking the car.“ Jin gave Jane a brief look, not really paying attention to the people who just came in. His eyes were still scanning the car interestingly, wondering how it'll feel to sit in such a luxury.

Afterall, it'll be his first ride and first experience really counts.

Liam, the guy with bling around his neck stepped forward, raking his hand to feel the smoothness of the car.

“Yoo!! This is the real shit!! I'm getting this!!" He looked at the manager. “I'm getting it." He repeated with a smile booming on his face.

Jane glanced between the manager and Liam, with a little smile, clearly uneased.

She cleared her throat. “Sir, someone already took the car." She said,

The manager's eyes shifted to Jin briefly before it landed on Jane.

“Who is that person?" He asked, not taking another glance at Jin because he believes he must have come with someone and he's not here for a purchase.

“Him, sir." Jane referred to Jin.

Lucas burst in laughter, his eyes scanning Jin from head to toe, flashing a condescending look.

"Him?" He scoffed, a smug grin tugging on his lips. “When did your workers start acting comedy? Does this low life here look like he's here to make a purcha..”

“Lowlife?" Jin scoffed, cutting him off with a soft and calm voice but his gaze was rigid. “Do you just see random people and tag them like that?!" He lifted his eyes to him.

Liam laughed, his voice taunting. “Cut it dude! You have the time to stare at it all you want before I  make the purchase.”

Jin looked at Jane who had been observing the whole scene without knowing how to meddle in.

“How much is the car?" Jin asked her with eagerness in his voice.

“$700,200" She answered.

Jin nodded satisfactorily. “What's the accepted method of payment?" He pressed on enthusiastically.

Liam shook his head, casting Jin a belittling look.

“Are you really serious right now dude?! Do you think this is a bicycle store!! 

How the heck will you allow people like this to enter your store!!" Liam groaned with dissatisfaction.

The Manager who had been watching all along stepped in, looking at Jin skeptically.

“Are you seriously here to make a purchase or  to cause trouble? Please kindly take yo.."

“Does it look like I'm joking here?" Jin's voice cut through, brooking no argument.

Silence fell over and the soft hums from nearby customers took over the air again.

The manager was observing Jin- he's too young to come to somewhere like vireli.

 This isn't the first time. He had encountered young people like him who would only come to make fuss but he knows better how to handle them especially this time around to teach one a lesson.

He forced a smile. “Alright. You've been told the price of the car. You should pay then." He said impatiently, his intention known to himself alone.

Liam glanced at him, feeling cheated but the manager gestured a gentle nod and a faint suspicious smile which Liam understood immediately. He leaned in, crossing his hand on his chest with a smile on his face.

“You can pay by transfer." The manger said, his voice impatient and with no reverence.

Jane wrote out the account number on a sheet.

“Alright.” Jin exhaled, collecting the number and he simply pulled out his phone. 

Seeing Jin's old phone, Jane began to doubt him in her heart. Her body twitched with discomfort.

Everyone stared, expecting the worst to happen.

Jin tapped.
