Chapter 4 - The secret Heir

The space is vast with towering floor- ceiling windows offering a panoramic view of the weary night. Light from above reflects off polished marble floor and a soft, neutral- toned wall with several portraits. Also a 115 inch plasma TV rested on the wall.

Plush sofas stood on the floor, the cream coloured leather merged with the wall painting, inviting Andrew to sit on it. At the side, close to the wall is a grand piano.

The room flows seamlessly into the dining Which has a sliding glass door behind leading to the outside seating and a pool. It's a perfect blend of opulence and warmth.

“Here we are master Jin. Your father lives here, building enormous wealth around the world but yet he felt empty when he searched for you and you weren't found. He was desolate till he died but I promised him I'll find you.”

Andrew gulped. “I thought Zayne Dante was my father.” He said, seemingly confused.

Axel smiled. “I have never heard of that name but he's not your father.” he exhaled, feeling the gravity of what he's about to reveal.

Nonetheless, he continued “Your father told me after he found out through a genotypic test that the baby he carried in the hospital wasn't his biological son.”

“Someone else took you and replaced you with another baby.” He emphasized. Andrew glanced at him as he continued.

“Your father raised the baby despite knowing he's not his genetic son but he's a bundle of sadness for him because Raven behaves like a bastard, giving your father incessant trouble.” He gritted his teeth after making the statement.

“He’s the reason your father developed high blood pressure and was also why he left the main city to this island.”

Andrew kept a listening ear.

“Raven forcefully took over some of your father's companies, mismanaged the affairs and ruined your father's name in the business world! A name he toiled to build with every droplet of his sweat.”

He clenched his fist, a wave of anger boiling within.

Andrew looked up at one of the portraits on the wall which had the image of a handsome matured man in his 40’s dressed in a wine coloured suit, looking rich and confident in his stance.

 Alex stood beside him observing the picture with a smile. “He’s Williams Hales. Your father.” He stated.

“He told me that whoever has the tattoo of the light on his back is his son.

Andrew looked at him. “You mean the star on my back is called the tattoo of light? Why is it called the tattoo of light?” He asked him, eager to know further.

Axle exhaled. “Just like your father explained. He said wisdom is light, same as knowledge. You having the tattoo simply means you're the wisest in the whole planet Earth.

At the age of 20, every first Male child of Hale's family develops unbeatable wiseness. It's more like a heritage and that's why your father believed with wisdom, you can handle his Wealth. Your wisdom shines like the star and blind fools that try to go up against you.” Axel narrated, chuckling slightly.

“My father told you all these?” He chuckled along. Axel nodded. “Yes master.”

Andrew stared at the portrait closely, taking in the man's appearance. He noticed he had a similar facial appearance with him.

He gulped hard as the realizations hit him– Zayne Dante isn't his father and he's not a member of Dante's family.

Was that why they never liked him! He shook the thought off. “No, they couldn't have known.”

“What about my mother?” Andrew glanced at Axel.

“She died immediately after she gave birth to you.” He answered.

Andrew felt sad. He was pained he never had the chance to see none of his parents before they died.

He wished he was found earlier.

“I'd like to show you something master.” Axel broke the silence, his voice smooth with unknown intentions.

“What’s that?”

 Axel took him to his late father's bedroom. The room is sparkling neat with modern furniture. Axel walked to a smart drawer sitting beside the bed and slid in a card which unlocked it. The drawer stretched out and he retrieved a stack of documents from it and placed it on his palm.

“These are the documents of your father's companies. Some are currently being handled roughly by Raven but the ones unknown to him are in my care and you're taking over from me because it was your father's request before he died.”

The weight of the document pressed down on his hand. He wondered how many conglomerates his father has.

He flipped the first page and the sight that caught his eye was shocking. His eyes widened, flashing with disbelief. He glanced at Axel with a surprising gaze.

“Nexora group!!? He exclaimed, taking another glance at the document.

Axel nodded, eager to explain more. “Yes master. Nexora is one of our prominent and renowned companies with numerous branches across the globe.”

“Nexora Biotech, nexora technologies, nexora media....”

“The monthly revenue from Nexora groups is just $3.63 trillion dollars.”

Andrew gasped!

His body trembled to the huge amount of money, the document almost slipping from his grip.

“$3. 63 trillion dollars?!” Andrew called with a shaky breath.

It felt surreal!!

“But things went up pretty good the previous month and we generated $10.6 trillion dollars!” He said and swiftly retrieved a tablet. He tapped on the screen and showed Andrew the evidence.

Andrew's eyes bulged as he counted the multiple Zeros which seemed to stretch endlessly on the screen.

His leg became weak and he almost collapsed but Axel held him before he could. Already, the documents had fallen to the floor.

“Are you okay master!?!” Axel asked worriedly.

“I’m...I'm fine..I’m just shocked to know all these belong to my dad.” Andrew said after regaining his posture.

 Axel smiled lightly. “It all belongs to you now master. Your father named you Jin and he told me that's what you should be called when I find you.”

Andrew looked at the document to see the name; ‘Jin Hale’ written in the ownership space.

“You’ll be announced as the CEO of the companies whenever you want.” Axil said, not realizing Andrew is lost in thought.

They all thought I'm useless!!

That I'm a failure!

A nobody!

They casted me away like a rag but they never know...

..they never know I'm Jin Hale, the heir of multi- trillion dollars consortium!! Henceforth, I shall be called Jin and not Andrew!

“Master, are you okay?” Axel tapped him lightly when he noticed he was lost in thought.

“Oh...yeah.. I'm fine. What were you saying?” He asked, his focus resumed.

“I asked when you'd like to be announced globally as the CEO of the consortiums.” He repeated, waiting for a response.

Andrew kept him waiting till he shook his head and said.

“I don't want to go public. I'd like to keep a low profile and act like the CEO in secret. I mean..I want to be the secret heir.”
