The Sect leader then left. Meanwhile, Lin Zhenzhen was worried about Lu Zhen. She knew she couldn't do much but hoped that her master would convince the Sect leader to release him. "Why am I even worried about him when he was the one who got himself in this mess." she pouted. Her feelings for him had deepened since he kissed her that day. Just as she was musing, her master returned. "Master" she bowed, "Stand up." said her master.

"I spoke with the Patriarch and he said he would consider letting him go after he finishes punishing him." Lin Zhenzhen was first happy but then her expression turned sullen. She didn't know what kind of punishment the Patriarch was giving Lu Zhen.

"Thank you master for your help." she bowed and left for her courtyard. After she arrived, she threw herself in her bed, "Lu Zhen, I'll find a way to save you." She then fell asleep.

Days later, as she was practising her martial arts. A figure suddenly showed up in her courtyard, "Disciple greets Sect Leader." she knelt in front of the Sect Leader.

"Stand up, so you're Lu Zhen's fianceè. I heard you want me to release him. I can do it of course but you have to do one thing for me." said the Patriarch. Lin Zhenzhen was apprehensive as she took a few steps back and tried to hide her petite and fully developed body.

Seeing her actions, the Sect Leader laughed and said, "Don't worry, I don't covet your body. In fact, I want you to convince him to join us."

Lin Zhenzhen thought for a while before agreeing.

"Great! Follow me." shouted the Patriarch with a voice full of excitement and enthusiasm. They disappeared and later appeared underground where a young man was held in chains.

Lu Zhen looked skinny and out of shape. He looked like he hadn't eaten or drank anything for months. This was due to the chains constantly absorbing his energy and a lack of Spiritual Qi. Lu Zhen struggled to open his eyes as he softly called out, "Zhenzhen…, what are you doing here? How did you get here? Leave before it's too late." Lin Zhenzhen broke down in tears,

"Don't worry, I'm here to save you." she said. Lu Zhen felt puzzled as he asked, "Zhenzhen, are you capable of breaking these chains?" she naturally wasn't capable of breaking them, she couldn't even touch them as a matter of fact.

"Lu Zhen. Won't you submit to me now?" asked a voice Lu Zhen didn't want to hear. "I told you, I'll never submit to you." said Lu Zhen coldly.

"Lin Zhenzhen, come here." the Patriarch called out. She went to the Patriarch, "Convince him to submit to me and I'll let him go as promised." he said. Lin Zhenzhen straight out refused. Seeing Lu Zhen like this pained her heart, she also felt the need to protect Lu Zhen's pride, as if his pride was worth more than her life, "I don't think anyone would agree to..."

Slap!

Before she could even finish speaking, she was slapped by the Sect Leader and she flew a few meters away. Her right cheek swelled up after being slapped. "I didn't ask for your opinion, make him submit!" The Sect Leader's face was dark as he spoke. "Yungxu, how dare you hit my woman, wanna die?!" Lu Zhen had learnt of his name from when he was being tortured. Lin Zhenzhen struggled to stand up as she was dizzy from the slap. Lu Zhen struggled to break the chains but to no avail.

Slap!

Yungxu sent another slap, Lin Zhenzhen clashed in the wall and vomited mouthfuls of blood. Her face was pale as she coldly looked at Yungxu. "Who would want to submit to a despicable person like you?" sneered Lin Zhenzhen. This further angered Yungxu but before he could do anything. She took out a talisman and tore it apart.

Lu Zhen was shouting ' I'll KILL YOU!' The whole body was filled with veins that squirmed around like worms, his eyes were bloodshot. Nothing happened after she tore the talisman. "Wait a while if you have the balls." said Lin Zhenzhen.

Ten minutes later, nothing happened and that made Lin Zhenzhen anxious. "Your master won't come, any form of communication doesn't work here and no matter how loud you scream, no one will hear you."

Lin Zhenzhen shuddered after what Yungxu had said. Yungxu then grabbed Zhenzhen by the neck and raised her off the ground. "Lu Zhen, submit or she dies." he said coldly. "Lu Zhen don't. Don't submit to him no matter what!" she shouted.

"You bitch!"

Yungxu slammed her against the wall and she vomited mouthfuls of blood. She felt that she was gonna lose her consciousness any time so she showed Lu Zhen her brightest smile before biting something. Before Yungxu could act, she had already committed suicide.

Lu Zhen who had been shouting like a maniac was now silent, his eyes wide as they could be. He silently stared at the corpse of his lover, tears slowly cascaded down his face. Pain, he was under extreme pain and agony.

"Why?" he said softly, "Why!? Why!? Why?!" This time, Lu Zhen looked weak and fragile. "You keep taking away that which is most precious to me." tears ran down his face. Old and new memories kept replaying themselves in Lu Zhen's mind, "Why are you always leaving me all by myself, my life is nothing without you.

You are my pride and joy, you define me but...why are you always leaving me behind, it's so painful and I hate it, I hate this feeling." Lu Zhen's expression then l changed from fragile and weak to being robot-like. He was expressionless. Yungxu suddenly got goosebumps when Lu Zhen stared at him. I hate this feeling! I hate feeling weak! And I hate you!" This time, instead of his eyes turning pitch black, Lu Zhen's bloodshot eyes turned crimson red. His hair turned blood red.

And as it fluttered in the air, it looked like a river of blood. Veins popped all over Lu Zhen's body. His face turned into that of a white lion as his hands and legs turnedinto lion claws. The seal on his body activated by itself as it tried to suppress his power. Then something else entirely different happened, instead of Lu Zhen being suppressed, the inscriptions on his body started devouring the black tattoos and integrating with them. Lu Zhen then slightly smiled and Yungxu didn't miss it.

Seeing this, Yungxu activated the chain's absorption power as he had a bad premonition about the whole situation when he saw Lu Zhen's smile.

Lu Zhen's white fur changed at that moment, it also became blood red. His entire body became red as if he had been bathed in blood. The blood red aura then shrouded the chains that were coiled around his body and they pierced through Lu Zhen's body. Yungxu's eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

It had to be known that he tried everything to dismember Lu Zhen but nothing worked and now, these chains had just pierced through his skin. He couldn't believe it.

After being pierced, Lu Zhen felt power coursing throughout his whole body. "Feels good," he said in a deep and terrifying voice . 'Feels good?' Yungxu was confused about what Lu Zhen was talking about. After absorbing his power back, the chains broke as simple as that. The red aura corroded them and they became ineffective.

"Aaahhh!" Lu Zhen rolled on the ground in agony. Veins popped on Lu Zhen's head as if snakes were moving all over it.

Inside his head, the golden brain that kept him sane was being corroded by the red aura.

Blood!Blood! Blood!

Roarrrr!

Lu Zhen now really looked like a monster, the beast within him was unleashed.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

His spinal cord changed shape, making him kneel, it was excruciatingly painful. Lu Zhen's skeletal system changed entirely.

He just kept watching, studying his enemies, learning all that he could about them and he'd collected a lot of data these past few days. Now, he knew that the Abyssals receive insane boosts and enhancements when nighttime arrives. He also noticed that the Abyssals grabbed the heads of his knights in order to kill them and death was instant once the head was grabbed. And he also discovered that the Abyssals weren't moving fast but actually teleporting to their targets and their form of teleportation was so perfect that it didn't leave any trails to follow or how to predict their movements. …“For how long will you watch as your men die?! For how long will you watch them being slaughtered like chickens without even the chance to retaliate?! Give the retreat command and save your men from this pointless death!” angrily s

[Ah, look what we have here. A bunch of rats that we've been looking for for months. I'm glad that you're all gathered in one place. It saves me the time of hunting you down one by one!]A giant of a man stood calmly in the air, above his helmeted head was a halo that made the knight in shining golden armour look like a being that was sent from the holy lands. The figure was three meters tall, very large and broad body and was wearing heavy armour. He held a massive shield on one hand and a long sword on the other. His white cape with a Lion Emblem fluttered in the wind. Bang! A pillar of light shot down from the skies, creating dust and debris. Once the dust cleared, another knight had arrived and was kneeling on one knee. Another pillar shot down from the skies, followed by another, and another. Soon, the pillars of light falling down from the sky were like rain due to the huge number and each pillar of light was actually a knight falling from the skies.Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Ba

Arira City, once a lively and buzzing place had transformed into a desolate ghost town. Collapsed buildings, broken windows, potholes, dead plants and trees and the utter silence this place had. “Commander Leo, we've searched everywhere but there's nobody here, no survivors and no corpses, nothing alive, not even insects.” an armoured knight in gold reported to another golden armoured knight. On the armour was the Sun Crest and on the cape of the armour was the Lion Emblem. These knights were the Sun Knights of the Lionheart Order, a newly risen organisation after the disappearance of the Gods and it was the only Knight Order that currently existed. Wherever they went, the gentle golden light would follow, changing even the colour of the sky to golden, holiness oozed from every fibre of their beings.“I can smell the stench of the heretics, this is the work of those damned cultists, the Pupil Cult was behind this!” said Commander Leo in a cold and authoritative voice. “The Pupil Cu

  • Chapter 370: Horror

Inside a large room with dozens of shelves placed in an orderly manner with numerous books inside these shelves, there was a small table in an inconspicuous corner where an old man sat and was reading an untitled book. There was a lantern placed on the table to provide light for the old man. This old man looked refined in his old model grey suit and a hat. He used a monocle as a reading tool. Whilst reading, a group of people suddenly appeared before him without any spatial riples or Mana fluctuations. The old man immediately became vigilant as he took out a sword from under his table.“Lights on.” said the old man and the whole room lit up, completely revealing the figures of the intruders. Clang! “It can't be…” muttered the old man as he dropped his sword with tears in his eyes. He himself dropped to his knees and crawled towards a certain individual within the group and bowed his head just inches away from the individual's feet. Amongst the group was a drop dead gorgeous woman a

  • Chapter 368: Delicacy

Neither the Empress nor the other Gods knew what the lion faced monster was saying but they could guess from the level of excitement it was showing. The monster then felt the gazes and looked up where there was a massive space crack with multiple powerful figures looking at it but the monster showed no fear. The monster only stared directly at the strongest figure amongst those looking at it, directly making eye contact with a God Empress, an entity beyond the Omniversal scale. What was even more shocking was that the figure suffered no damage from staring at a God. In the eyes of the monster, all he saw was blinding brilliance of milky gold, a cluster of particles that could bend reality if they so wished to do so. The Empress didn't back down from the challenge and also stared back at the absolute darkness that had taken roots in the eye sockets of the monster. The other Gods were also attracted by the darkness of the monster’s eyes as though something deep within was beckoning th
