When Constantine woke up, he found himself in a strange place...

Constantine felt a serious headache as soon as he opened his eyes and he squinted in pain as he tried to make out his surroundings groggily.

Gradually Constantine's eyes cleared up and he could finally get a clear look at his surroundings. When Constantine got a look at his surroundings, he suddenly sprang to his feet in shock and surprise.

Swoosh!

A sharp wind blew against Constantine, hitting his face sharply, causing it to sting in pain. A storm of dust and sand was raised by the wind and it rushed at Constantine, burying him in red earth. In the next 2 seconds, everything vanished as if they had never appeared in the first place.

Cough, cough!

Constantine burst into a coughing fit, spitting out the sand that had gotten into his mouth that he had failed to close in time due to his surprise.

"Cough! Damn it, what the hell is this... I've got sand in my mouth, eyes, nose, ears, and everywhere else. Just what is happening?"

"Where the hell am I!"

Constantine hurriedly opened his eyes after removing the sand that clung to his face and he looked around himself once more. In the end, he was still greeted by a shocking scene.

Everywhere around him, the only thing Constantine could see was sand, red sand on a barren desert. It didn't matter in which direction Constantine looked; it was still the same.

Sand filled Constantine's vision when he looked into the distance and above him, the sky was red and dusky. The wind here blew fast and furiously and it carried small particles of sand with it which hit Constantine's body, causing him to feel a stinging pain on his skin.

It didn't take a genius to know that Constantine was in a completely different place.

"Well, it looks like Dorothy is not in Kansas anymore!" Constantine commented.

Right now, Constantine was numb to all the strange things that happened around him. Even since he woke up from his coma and met Ruger learning that he now shared a soul and body with an immortal existence from another realm, nothing seemed to shake Constantine anymore.

While Constantine was looking around, he tried to make sense of what was happening and figure out where he was and how he got here.

"Where is this?" Constantine asked himself.

"It doesn't look like any desert I know of on earth. No desert has such fine red sand as far as I know. Besides, the sky here is red and there is no place on earth that has red skies."

"Does this mean I am not on earth anymore, or could this be a change that arose over the year as a result of the rift?"

Constantine continued to study his surroundings, and he came to a few conclusions regarding where he was.

According to Constantine's guess, he was either not on earth anymore or he was in a place that went through a lot of changes after the space rift had appeared last year.

"Whether I am still on earth or not, the question is, how did I get here in the first place?"

This was the thing that puzzled Constantine the most. He was clearly still in his room when he went to sleep, but now upon waking up; he found himself in a strange desert that might or might not be on earth.

Constantine also remembered that strange dream he had before waking up where he was surrounded by fog and he was chasing a figure in the fog who he suspected was his friend Baron.

Constantine had still yet to figure out what that dream was all about, how he was faced with another puzzling conundrum.

"Come to think of it, I don't seem to remember when I went to bed and fell asleep," Constantine thought.

"I clearly remember having trouble falling asleep after talking to that douchebag. after that I stayed up to think and walked to the balcony. The next thing I know, I'm dreaming about being lost in fog and now I'm waking up in this strange place."

"Is there something wrong with me?"

Constantine was beginning to feel worried. Not because of him appearing in a foreign and unknown place, but because he didn't know how it happened in the first place.

The first thing that Constantine thought was that something had to be wrong with him. After all, all this only started when he woke up and inherited powers that were not his own.

Because of Ruger, Constantine's life was becoming very unclear and he couldn't see what the future held for him anymore. There was no way for him to predict what would happen to him or what kind of weird and bizarre things would be thrown into his life.

Just like now, it is very likely that the cause of all this was due to the changes he was currently facing in his body.

Constantine didn't know what to do about this and the one person that could probably help him seemed very unreliable... Constantine was not even willing to reach out to him for help in the first place.

Constantine was deep in thought when suddenly, he heard a very annoying voice sounding out in his head.

"Hehe brat, it seems you're in quite the pickle!"

"How about it? Do you want my help?"

Ruger's voice suddenly interrupted Constantine's thoughts, making him very annoyed. He didn't want to interact with the menace right now and wanted to figure things out on his own. But clearly, Ruger wasn't the type to care about another person's feelings, much less Constantine.

He simply came up and disrupted Constantine's thought process.

Miffed, Constantine replied to Ruger curtly, "No thanks, I'm good. I don't need your help. Can figure all of this myself!"

"Suit yourself, brat. Don't let it be like I didn't offer to help. Now that you've rejected me, I might not be so willing next time."

"Huh!" Constantine snorted.

"As I would ever need your help," he said stubbornly.

"Is that so?" Ruger asked.

"Well then, I guess you won't need my help to save you."

Constantine was confused when he heard that, as he didn't know what Ruger meant by that.

"What do you mean by that?" Constantine asked.

"Oh, nothing. You said you don't need my help, so it's not my problem anymore. But just for the sake of fairness, let me give you a heads up."

"You probably want to start running right now. If not, you will die."

Constantine was shocked when he heard that.

"Who the hell are you cursing to die, you bastard? You better tell me what the hell you mean by that or else..."

Constantine raged, but just as he was about to confront Ruger, he suddenly noticed something wrong.

Looking ahead of him, Constantine noticed that there was a sandstorm heading his way. This was not so surprising as they were in the desert and the wind was blowing very strongly here. The sandstorm didn't look very strong and it wouldn't pose much of a danger to Constantine.

But the problem was that Constantine could actually see a few giant shadows inside the sandstorm, heading his way.

He didn't know what those shadows were but a sudden feeling of danger overcame Constantine, causing him to shiver in fear.

With his forehead covered in a nervous sweat, the leader watched as the rift turned into a black dot in space before finally closing completely. As soon as the rift closed, the leader’s shoulders dropped heavily as he breathed a deep sigh of relief. He suddenly felt weak at this moment as the pressure he was feeling in his heart was liberated, making him feel like he would suddenly collapse on the floor. But his training prevented him from doing so. Without the heavy weight of the rift hanging over his head, the leader could finally relax and breathe easily. Taking a moment to regain his composure, the leader turned to captain Keith and reported. “Sir, the rift had finally been closed.”“Good,” captain Keith responded. He continued, “Station a few men to keep watch here and report anything that happens. We don’t want the rift being opened again from the other side. In a while, this place will be turned into a quarantined zone as we wait for the tech guys to arrive and give this p

  • Back To Earth

The leader hurried to close the rift, which consisted of detonating a set of small special grenades in the small room.On opposite sides of the rift, there were two tall pillar-like objects emitting pulsing light that shine on the dark rift. These two objects were spatial anchors... a kind of stabilizer that was used to maintain an open rift to prevent it from closed prematurely. Like I said before, natural rifts were more stable and could remain open for a very long time without closing. Instead of worrying about keeping a natural rift open, one would worry instead about getting it too close. On the other hand, an artificial rift was difficult to maintain, so stabilizers were needed to keep it open. Human research on space was very slow, and they hadn’t reached the point where they could open and close rifts in other worlds easily. The spatial anchors were a product of genius that had accidentally blossomed to fruition. It was with this anchor technology that the humans were confid

With one last look at Constantine, the leader finally stepped through the rift. In as much as he was reluctant to leave, the leader knew that staying would not help at all. Instead, it would bring more trouble to Constantine.Who told him to be weak and that he couldn’t lend his strength to Constantine? For that matter, whose fault was it that Earth was too weak to fight against the doom? There was nobody to blame, and they could only blame themselves. In any case, it wasn’t like the leader’s troubles were over. Waiting on the other side of the rift was a whole other set of problems that the leader would have to deal with...As soon as the leader came face to face with his superior. This was a man with the body of a giant. Standing at more than two meters tall, with large burly arms like the barrel of a tank, shoulders as broad as vinyl, and a hulking frame that towered over everybody else, dwarfing them in his shadow. This person was the superior officer in charge of the rescue miss

The leader’s face paled terribly when he saw the twenty-meter-tall doom still standing after taking that powerful lightning ball and coming out unfazed. He thought, ‘This is the end!’When the leader thought that he would be flattened, not meat paste in the next moment, his eyes opened wide in fear as he supported Constantine with his body. The leader's eyes were looking forward in a daze as he awaited his inevitable end. But after waiting for a few seconds, nothing happened. Shocked, the leader looked at the twenty-meter-tall doom in the distance, only to see that it was standing still without moving at all. Puzzled, the leader paid attention to it. That was when he noticed something he hadn’t done before. As the twenty-meter-tall doom stood silently in place, its dune-like body seemed to be loosening as sand flowed down to the desert continuously. Seeing this state, a single thought entered the leader’s mind...“It’s injured!”Once this thought entered his mind, the leader was ecs

  • Unfazed

The twenty-meter-tall doom finally revealed itself from underneath the sand. This was the first time the leader was seeing it and it was as shocking as he expected it to be. Figure-wise, the twenty-meter-tall doom was no different from the rest of the dooms. It still had the same dull red skin color that was like rust or dried blood and it possessed the same bloated body. All of these were common features of the creatures known as dooms. Still, compared to the other dooms, there were a few differences between them, the most obvious of which was the twenty-meter height that this menace stood. Another different feature was that, unlike the other dooms that possessed a perfect physical structure, the twenty-meter-tall doom seemed more like a mass of sand packed together in a single cluster. Its body was made up entirely of grains of sand that flowed constantly. The twenty-meter-tall doom was like a giant walking dune, with no fixed physical form except for the overall structure that

  • First Look At The Face Of Terror

Bzzt! Bzzt!A powerful ball of lightning floated inches above Constantine’s head, giving off buzzing sounds of electricity as it hung suspended in the air. A layer of sweat covered Constantine’s face as exhaustion threatened to send him to his knees. Constantine’s arms were like lead, heavy, and it took all of his willpower to keep them upright to support the lightning ball. Hu!Resisting the urge to wipe the sweat from his eyes, Constantine stared dead ahead at the threat coming his way. The lightning ball above him had a diameter of five meters and it had taken almost all his power to condense it. Its power was naturally great, and it carried a shocking mite that was enough to scare a ten-meter-tall doom into retreating. But despite this, Constantine was clear that his lightning ball was not enough to stop the menace that was targeting him. A twenty-meter-tall doom! This should be the strongest doom that any human had ever encountered. Nothing was known about this doom. Probably
