[Chime! System acclimatization resumes.]

[Militation registered! Host's brain shutting down due to immense pressure.]

[Repairing! Host slipping into a Rest mode.]

""Jaai!"" Jada exclaimed and rushed to him.

The doctor and his nurses got to Jaai first and helped him from hitting the floor again. Perhaps if he did, it could cause him even more damage.

""We'll take him with us right away."" The doctor concluded, pulling Jaai up to his feet.

It wasn't as though he was waiting for the endorsement of Elaine. He had already concluded. He couldn't imagine why Elaine would want to stop him from taking Jaai away to the hospital.

The doctor was assisted by the nurses and they drag-walked Jaai out of the foyer.

""Jaai!!!"" Jada ran after them.

Marcus quickly ran and stood in her way.

""Where are you going?"" He asked, looking quite serious.

""What do you mean? My husband just slumped. Shouldn't I be beside him?"" She was at the verge of tears as she said these words.

""What are you? A doctor? What would you being there do? What difference would it make?"" Marcus scolded.

Most times, whenever the families were out on a treat, most people would think Marcus was the eldest child. Whereas he was only the eldest son, younger to Jada. But he was very protective of her.

On top of this, he hated Jaai with all his life. There were a lot of benefits he could have gotten from his potential his brother-in-law if her sister had married someone really rich. But what does he get from being the brother-in-law of a piece of crap like Jaai? Nothing!

""Still. I need to be there. Step out of my way please."" Jada insisted.

""Your brother is right."" Elaine called.

Elaine had remained silent ever since the doctor and the nurses took Jaai out. She didn't know what to say at first. The doctor had claimed that if he was right that Jaai would collapse in a few seconds.

Not long after what the doctor said, Jaai had indeed collapsed!

Did Jaai really lose his memory? Was that really why she accused Jada of cheating with the director? Has he been suspecting Jada even before the first fall?

Elaine had a lot of questions but she didn't have an answer to any of them.

""Mom."" Jada grumbled, not willing to turn around.

When she did finally, she ran to her mother and fell into her arms. She burst out in tears, bawling her eyes out.

The director, who was standing not far from the door, stood there watching all of these unfold.

""You can leave now, Mr Scott. We are very sorry for keeping you around for so long."" Marcus called at the director.

The director nodded softly. He couldn't find his voice either. Everything had happened so swiftly that he didn't have enough time to think.

""I'll be on my way then."" Director Scott nodded softly.

Jada turned in her mother's arm to take a last glance at the director. Jada and Scott exchanged a strange gaze. Elaine took note of it.

Scott took a last glance at Elaine and nodded at her. Elaine nodded back, but Scott could easily see the traces of suspicion evident in her eyes.

The director turned around and left. As soon as he left, Elaine pushed her daughter away from her.

""Whatever it is between you and the director, I'll find out, and you know it."" Elaine warned.

""Mom!"" Marcus argued. ""How could say that? Didn't you just hear what the doctor said? Didn't you see the proof? Are you doubting your daughter because of that nincompoop?!""

""Until I seize your credit card before you know not to speak out of turn."" Elaine ground her teeth at Marcus.

""In five minutes, we'll be leaving for Father's birthday party. Everyone will be waiting for us. We can't always be the last family."" Elaine took a deep breath as she tried to clear her head.

All her children had gathered to her front.

""I hope everyone of you have prepared a gift. You cannot afford to be kicked into irrelevance by your cousins!"" She warned.

Then she walked away towards her room.

""Why do you think she always act like this?"" Gerard asked, not looking at either of his siblings. His gaze was fixed on the retreating figure of their mother which had disappeared through the hallway.

""It can't be possible that she likes that deadbeat! We know that she doesn't like him. Then why does she care about him?"" Gerard added, sounding like he has been beaten into a pulp by the confusion.

""Just shut up!"" Marcus snapped at his younger brother, and the last child. "When it's time for gaming, I'll call you."" He huffed then walked away.

From the look on Gerrad's face, he wanted to say a lot of things to his brother but he just couldn't bring himself to do it.

He quickly turned to his sister, ""Please, mommy does not like him right?""

Jada turned to him with dry eyes. Gerard swallowed.

""Do you really think that this is about Jaai? Are you not even part of this family?!"" She walked off too, annoyed.

""Then what is about?"" He asked, very frustrated by his own ignorance.

As he watched her walk off, his eyes suddenly widened.

""Oh shit..."" He gasped, clutching his left hand to his mouth, "Is it about dad? The trauma?"

He stood there alone, wondering, with no one to ease him of his misery.

Jaai constantly blinked his eyes as he followed the words of the virtual voice, looking from one corner to the other. There was a large virtual screen projected in front of him.

On this screen were all the things the virtual voice has been saying.

""Hiii"" A sudden seductive feminine voice popped out of nowhere.

Jaai freaked out at first. But when he looked, he saw an extremely beautiful lady with big boobs and a very slim waste. The lady was standing right in front of him, beside the virtual screen.

""Hey, handsome. I'm your assistant."" The lady said in a very sweet voice. ""First of all, give me a name."”

'Eon' That was the name that the elderly woman had just referred to him as. No one, in his nearest memories had ever called him by that name. In fact, he had thought that the name was just a spinoff of his surname. The fact that this elderly woman had just mentioned that name of his, he couldn't help but be moved. There was no lie that this woman knew him personally. Jaai knew that he didn't have to do anything just yet. He could just allow the moment unfold gradually. She seemed to be going through a lot of emotions. He couldn't take that away from her. While he she was hugging him and crying, Jaai was trying to think of a couple of things, too. But no matter how hard he was trying to reach into the shelves of memories, nothing seemed to work. "There she is!!!" A sudden masculine voice built behind them. When the woman heard the voice, she pulled away from Jaia instantly. The feelings and emotions she was going through seemed to have vanished into thin air because of the recent

"Hold on." Jaai tried to catch his breath. "Are you saying that the memory of my time here at the orphanage was wiped off as a consequence of mr triggering the task?" Jaai wanted to be certain that he wasn't hearing things. "You see, a system has a pattern. These set of patterns is why it's called a system. If there are altercations then there would consequences. I'm sorry that I didn't inform you about that earlier." Mumuthebull bowed to him again. Jaai had no idea why his eyes always fall on her big tits whenever she bowed to him. He could swear that it was never his intention to do that. Especially not at this moment when his mind was boggled. "But why? Why that memory of all memories? Why wasn't it one of the memories I had during the task, especially the one with those jerks!!!" He yelled. "If what you mean is the memory that served as the cheat code for the completion of your first task, then that's rather improbable." She explained. Jaai didn't know what to say to her. She

The phone slid down from Jaai's cheeks and he stared at it for a moment. His facial expression held a note of disappointment."Why isn't she answering my call?" As soon as Steven walked out of the restaurant, the lanky man walked back in and dropped on his knees in front of Diane. "Did you tell him yet?" The man asked, hardly looking into her eyes out of respect. "He doesn't have to know yet." She replied briefly. "He loves money. I'm sure he'll do this for influence and the incentive. Meeting me means a lot to him and he would want to meet me over and over again."The man was silent for a while after her explanation. Even though he hadn't spoken a word yet, Diane could tell that there was something on his mind. "Spill it." She demanded. "I'm just worried about how this will play out." He replied carefully. "Speak in plain words to me." She demanded. "If they both discover whom they are later in the future, how would it look?" He asked, more like speaking to himself than he was to her. "The butler of an old family found his young master after decades. What would the scenes and emotions be?"Diane's gaze was keen on the face of the henc

Steven couldn't ask her directly how she came to know his name, but that question was killing him. He wished he could summon the courage to question a woman as powerful as Diane. It was already a wonder and shock how he found himself here, talk more of pressing the matter with intent. "You've met, Jaai." She continued, staring at him with utter seriousness. Steven swallowed a lump, not sure of how to react to this. The dead seriousness on her face was something that would naturally spark curiosity and fear inside him. "Jaai? I'm not sure if I've heard that name before." Steven tried to bring back a couple of recent memories, but the name didn't ring a note. Of course he had spoken with a couple of people who had given him money out of goodwill. In fact, some of them would tell him their names and encourage him never to give up. Jaai was in disbelief and in utter confusion as he stared at his phone. What had just happened was something that he didn't prepare for. He went from expecting the call of someone to hearing the voice of an entirely different person. He redialed the number that had just called him. He put it on speaker, waiting for the receiver to answer the call. The call rang for a while then it dropped. Jaai tried again and again until the line said it was out of coverage. Jaai swallowed a lump, staring into the space as though he was trying to summon something. "Who could that be?" His heart was heavy from thoughts. There were speculations that he didn't want to give life to. The fact that the voice was that of an elderly person, and it was soft and teary left Jaai even more confused, dying to get the exact detail of the person who had called. While he was thinking about this, something suddenly popped up in his mind. He scrolled through his contacts for a while and dialed the number of Diane
