""You are ---""

Suddenly the screeching sound of a car was heard outside the villa. In no time, a man and two ladies ran in.

""Mr Jaai. Mr Jaai!"" The man called as he pushed the door open.

It was the doctor from the hospital, and two nurses.

Jada was caught in the web of shock and anxiety. She didn't know what to do or what to say. She was grateful that the doctor had just barged in. This is a valuable distraction. With this little time, she would be able to think of what to say.

"Who are you please?" Elaine asked, angered that some strangers had not just interrupted her, but had the guts to barge into her house!

"Sorry, Mrs. Hullevard. I am Doctor Collins. Earlier today, we got a patient who fell from the staircase and lost his consciousness." The doctor took a break as he tried to catch his breath.

Elaine's face softened a little bit. The anger started to wither away, and was slowly replaced by curiosity. After all, she had been looking for a way to understand how Jaai was standing here.

"He fell into coma. The force of the collision that met with his head, put his brain to sleep, causing some internal bleeding. We were even surprised that he didn't die on the spot."

"I had finished attending to this patient and had gone to attend to another emergency patient. In fact, the treatment procedures were not complete, because what I did was just to make him stable. I was going to return to continue with the treatment."

"I hadn't stepped away for thirty minutes when all of a sudden I heard one of my nurses shouting. When we looked, it was our patient," The doctor took a pause, turning to Jaai.

"This man. Mr Jaai! He had taken off from the hospital, and somehow he had gotten here. In fact, none of the staff saw him board a bus or taxi when he left. We just had to come here because this is the only place we could think of." The doctor was breathing heavily as he came to the end of the speech.

The doctor turned fully to Jaai and took a few steps towards him.

"How are you feeling, Mr Jaai? What happened to you?" He asked, looking very concerned.

The doctor had moved so close to him that Jaai had to step back in order not to get too close.

"I'm not sure what happened and it doesn't matter. What matters is that, I'm now on my feet." Jaai brushed the topic aside.

He really didn't care about how he got up on his feet. He still doesn't understand what happened. He wasn't bothered by it either. He just wanted to address this cheating situation.

"What is happening Mr doctor?" Elaine quickly picked the discourse. "Did you test to see any irregularities when he was brought in?"

The director was quite stunned by Elaine's question. It seemed like Elaine was beginning to suspect them. Was she trying to say that they lied about Jaai falling from the staircase?

"He was bleeding when he was brought in." The doctor said.

"You can come to my house to see where his blood was." The director quickly added.

Elaine took a glance at the director. She didn't want to offend him, yet she didn't want to be made a fool.

"I understand your concern. This is exactly why I came running down here." The doctor continued.

Elaine's gaze shifted from the director to the doctor.

"There are situations whereby cases like this occur." The doctor explained.

"Cases where someone who should be in coma for a month suddenly jumps on his feet an hour into treatment?" Elaine queried, very keen on bringing out a fault.

Jada was stealthily picking her fingers nervously. She knew her mother. Her mother would not rest until she had gotten to the bottom of the situation.

"Adrenaline surge." The doctor replied with a smile. "The patient feels some kind of strange energy that makes them do the unthinkable. Things that are naturally impossible."

"What causes it?" Elaine asked.

"Does it matter what causes it? As long as it exists." Marcus quickly stepped in. He had noticed that his sister was fidgeting. He would do anything to save her.

"Do you want to lose an eye?" Elaine snapped.

Marcus grumbled but stood in his place. Elaine restored her gaze on the doctor, with more intent this time.

"Well, if the patient was going through an overwhelming weight of shock and emotional distress before the incident, then this could happen." The doctor explained.

"Emotions like?" Elaine kept pushing.

"Mom!" Jada didn't know when she called.

If her mother kept going at this rate, then the secret will surely come to light. This cannot happen. She might lose everything. Her mother does not forgive infidelity.

"Talk to me, doctor." She turned back to the doctor.

"Well, emotions like rejection, loss or betrayal." The doctor explained.

"Betrayal? As in finding your wife cheating on you with someone else?" Elaine would not take a break.

"I think we should let the doctor speak." The director interrupted, realising that Elaine would not stop.

Elaine took a sharp gaze at him. Her gaze was neither hostile nor soft. It was a little bit of this and that.

"Right." The doctor nodded to Elaine's question.

Elaine slowly turned to her daughter.

"Jada." She called with all lot of hostility.

The doctor looked around. He could see the look on the faces of Jada's brothers. He caught the gaze of the director, too. The director was not speaking, but his gaze was giving a presentation.

Elaine was advancing towards her daughter. She reached out her hand and gripped her ear! She was going to twist it,

"But." The doctor called.

Elaine paused, but didn't let go of her daughter's ear yet.

"Medically, this case is followed by memory loss." The doctor announced.

"Memory loss?!" Just about everybody exclaimed.

The director walked directly to the doctor as though he would pluck the words out of the doctor's lungs.

"Please tell us about it." The director urged.

"The adrenaline surge puts a lot of pressure on the brain so much that the data of the brain could suddenly be wiped off." The doctor sighed.

"This means that, the combustion of the emotions and adrenaline surge wear the brain out and start to create imaginations."

"What does that mean?" Gerard asked, getting really sucked into the details.

"The greatest fear of the patient starts to becomes a fact in the mind of the patient. If he feared loosing his wife before the pass out, he could now start thinking that his wife is cheating on him and will make a big fuss about it."

"What the hell are you saying?!" Jaai suddenly yelled at the doctor. He had been keeping quiet all along but this is the peak of it.

"Why are you so worked up. Perhaps you have lost your memory and you're accusing my sister!" Marcus barked at Jaai.

"What a pathetic fool!" Jaai thundered. "How can I lose my memory when I know the name of everyone here?"

Jaai turned around, pointing fingers at the people,

"Jada! Shitty head Marcus! Pussy Gerrard! Scott! Elaine! All of you!" Jaai yelled.

"This crazy bastard. Did you just say my mother's name?" Marcus wanted to pounce on him.

"Enough!!!" Elaine screamed.

Everywhere became quiet. Elaine turned to the doctor. She was breathing heavily and trying her best to calm herself.

"Are you making a fool of us here, Mr Doctor?" Elaine was trying not to raise her voice at the doctor.

"Earlier, you said that the surge happens whenever someone goes through betrayal before the blackout. And now, you're saying he's suffering from memory loss?! How can he be suffering from memory loss when he remembers what happened before he passed out?!" Elaine yelled at the doctor.

The doctor took a step back. He was trying to make an explanation here. But it seems like he might get beaten up soon.

"I don't know how to explain this to you." The doctor said. "But if what I'm saying is true, then in a couple of seconds he will collapse." He assured.

"What the hell are you talking about? Are you trying to avoid the situation?" Elaine snapped at the doctor.

"Are you fooling us? Are you a quack?" Gerrard started to support his mother.

"I think you deserve some beating!" Marcus quickly slipped in.

While the ruckus was going, Jaai started to feel a spin his head. At once, he grabbed his head.

"Jaai? What's happening?" Jada was the first to notice.

When she called their attention, everyone froze.

While everyone was watching, Jaai lost his balance and slumped, falling to the ground... blacked out.

"Hold on." Jaai tried to catch his breath. "Are you saying that the memory of my time here at the orphanage was wiped off as a consequence of mr triggering the task?" Jaai wanted to be certain that he wasn't hearing things. "You see, a system has a pattern. These set of patterns is why it's called a system. If there are altercations then there would consequences. I'm sorry that I didn't inform you about that earlier." Mumuthebull bowed to him again. Jaai had no idea why his eyes always fall on her big tits whenever she bowed to him. He could swear that it was never his intention to do that. Especially not at this moment when his mind was boggled. "But why? Why that memory of all memories? Why wasn't it one of the memories I had during the task, especially the one with those jerks!!!" He yelled. "If what you mean is the memory that served as the cheat code for the completion of your first task, then that's rather improbable." She explained. Jaai didn't know what to say to her. She

As soon as Steven walked out of the restaurant, the lanky man walked back in and dropped on his knees in front of Diane. "Did you tell him yet?" The man asked, hardly looking into her eyes out of respect. "He doesn't have to know yet." She replied briefly. "He loves money. I'm sure he'll do this for influence and the incentive. Meeting me means a lot to him and he would want to meet me over and over again."The man was silent for a while after her explanation. Even though he hadn't spoken a word yet, Diane could tell that there was something on his mind. "Spill it." She demanded. "I'm just worried about how this will play out." He replied carefully. "Speak in plain words to me." She demanded. "If they both discover whom they are later in the future, how would it look?" He asked, more like speaking to himself than he was to her.
