Chapter 16: Mandate of Doom.

Immediately, the spy flew out through the roof, his loud laughter echoing around the room.

"This is getting out of hand," Aethon said, looking around. He noticed something small and beeping on the ground. "What is this thing?" he wondered aloud as he bent down to check it.

The beeping got faster, like a bomb about to go off. Aethon realized the danger and shouted, "Everybody run!" He threw the beeping object away just in time. Moments later, it exploded with a loud bang, shaking Aethon's lair.

The explosion caused a lot of damage. Some of Aethon's soldiers were hurt and groaned in pain, holding their injuries. Aethon looked around at the chaos, his face grim.

Aethon got really mad when he saw the mess from the explosion. He decided right away to go after the ones responsible. "I'm going after them," he told his soldiers, sounding determined.

He looked around at his soldiers, trying to find the two toughest ones to come with him. When he spotted them, he walked over. "You two," he said
