Allen continued

" If my father had all this… if my family was alive, why… why did I suffer like that? Why did it take so long? ”

Sir Edward’s eyes grew distant, sad like someone who carried guilt for years.

“Nineteen years ago, on a summer evening, your father took the whole family, your mother, your brothers, and you—out for a treat.”

“Then the car… the accident happened. It was brutal. When we got to the scene, we only found the charred remains of your mother, and the bodies of your two brothers. Your father’s body too… but your body wasn't there.”

" You were inside too, Allen... but somehow, you miraculously survived.”

Allen’s heart raced.

Maybe this was the reason he never remembered anything from his childhood.

" We thought maybe… just maybe, you survived. But no one could trace where you went "

“We searched everywhere. All we found was a torn piece of your father’s coat, stained with blood. Blood that traced back to Fredrick but the devil denied everything. He manipulated public opinion and we were trying to frame him.”

Sir Edward clenched his jaw.

“ I could see right through him and he knows it. ”

" Two days later… Ian also died mysteriously. I strongly believe Fredrick was behind both deaths.”

Allen’s eyes narrowed. “ Then why didn't You tried to stop him?”

“I did. But with no witness and no Penthrone heir, Fredrick became the new boss.”

Edward continued, sounding angry “I tried… I tried everything to stop him. I failed. Again and again. Until finally, we started looking for you. You were the last hope. Out of all the candidates, you were the least expected. We traced you back to an orphanage in West Hill, but you’d left already. It took five more years to find your trail again.”

He gave a soft smile.

“And now… here you are. It’s good to see your face again. And with you here now, Federick will be able to pay for his sins. We'll wait till your memory is fully back"

Allen swallowed hard. He didn’t know what to say.

How did the man know about his memory loss.

“ listen to me,” Edward added, tone serious now. “You must stay under for a while. Fredrick can’t know you’re alive yet. If he finds out, he’ll move against you immediately.”

He pulled something out of his pocket, a key and a tag

“This is for you. There’s a car waiting downstairs. A driver too. You’ll be taken to your new residence. It’s a safehouse, a mansion under a false identity. That’ll be your new home for now.”

Allen took the keys slowly.

He glanced at the glossy tag in his hand. It read:

“Floral Ville Estate. Welcome to Royal Ville Mansions and Homes.”

His eyes widened. He had heard of Floral Ville.

it was the neighborhood of the nation’s elite, where houses were worth enough to feed entire generations.

And now… he had a temporary home there.

Even more shocking, floral Ville was a subsidiary of his father’s company.

Before he could react, Sir Edward’s phone rang. He answered, exchanged a few quiet words, then turned back.

“I’ll contact you soon. But for now… stay low and keep yourself safe. You are already in danger from now henceforth. you'll meet someone soon” he said before disappearing through the door.

Allen exhaled, then walked toward the elevator and rode down in silence.

The elevator doors slid open, and Allen stepped into the grand hall of the hotel. It was breathtaking—marble floors gleamed under the chandelier lights, and soft classical music echoed from hidden speakers. But Allen barely noticed. His mind was spinning.

Everything Sir Edward had said felt surreal. His secret inheritance, him being the heir of a mafia empire

it was all too much for him to think about. He tried digging through the fog of his memories, hoping to recall even a fragment of his childhood… but it resulted in a sharp migraine pounding at his temples.

As he reached the exit, still dazed, a firm grip yanked him back.

“Hey!” the security guard barked. “What are you doing here? This place isn’t for poor people like you.”

Allen’s eyes narrowed. He knew that voice.

The man's name was Grey.

He was his ex-girlfriend’s neighbor, someone who had always looked at him with contempt. From the very first day he saw Allen with her, he’d made it clear he didn’t like him.

Allen smiled as he understood that Grey was just doing this job.

A few days ago, he couldn't dream of entering such an expensive place but now, he can do whatever he wants.

Allen calmly reached into his pocket and showed the man his tag.

The guard snorted. “This? You probably stole it. Who are you trying to fool?”

Grey stepped closer. His voice was loud enough to turn heads.

“I should disgrace you right here and now,” he sneered. “People like you don’t belong in a place like this. You passed your boundaries this time.”

Allen’s fists clenched by his sides.

But Grey wasn’t done. He leaned in, his tone filled with mockery.

“Isn’t that why Ella left you? She saw through your little poor-boy act. Figured out you will forever be a nothing.”

A few passersby stopped, watching with amused curiosity. A woman whispered to her companion.

“Maybe he snuck in,” she said.

Another man shook his head. “These street boys are always looking for trouble.”

Allen’s face burned with shame at the humiliation.

His heart pounded, but he kept still. He wanted to react or maybe punch the pride off the guard’s face but he held himself back as he remembered Allen's warning to stay low.

He drew a slow breath, locking eyes with Grey.

“I suggest you let go of me,” Allen said queitly “Before you make a mistake you’ll regret.”

But Grey only laughed louder, unaware that the Allen was trying to humiliate… was no more the Allen he once knew.
