Upon returning to the estate, Caiden met with Cecilia, the woman who had spoken for him.
“Dr. Caiden, you're here? I still don't believe what they said about you. That you're fake, just came here for a commercial…..” She began.
“Isn't this you returning back to your apartment?” She asked but Caiden was momentarily speechless.
Apart from the alluring charm Cecilia carried, he never thought anyone would believe in him as he'd graded them all the same. Cecilia was the only one.
He affirmed it. Cecilia was different.
Coming from a powerful family, Cecilia carried herself with elegance and possessed breathtaking beauty. Her figure was equally captivating.
Unlike Maelie’s distant and untouchable aura, Cecilia exuded warmth and passion, her presence far more vibrant and alluring.
Even someone like Caiden, who had encountered many beautiful women, found her charm difficult to ignore.
He sighed. “I'm here to prepare for the auction.” He spoke as if he was not important, rather came to work here as a servant.
Cecilia let out a soft laugh. “I'm sure you must be kidding.” While others took chances to believe Caiden was fake, she took chances to believe he's great.
Caiden however was just observing, and didn't say anything.
Cecilia hadn’t expected him to be the type who could feel shy, and she found it amusing.
Many men had pursued her over the years, yet none had intrigued her quite like Caiden.
This was an instant, natural attraction.
She thought he was worth getting to know better. Even not suddenly, she knew soon.
“Will you be there at the auction?” She asked.
“Yes,” Caiden nodded. That's all she wanted to know.
For years, major business players in the city had been eyeing this valuable property. The wealthiest of the elites.
The auction that evening was meant to facilitate more elites coming in to form a neighborhood and perhaps business connections.
As night fell and lights illuminated the area, the estate was transformed into an ethereal paradise glowing with luxury lights.
A red carpet stretched across the entrance, welcoming the city’s top elites, who arrived in style with their elegant companions.
Cecilia elegantly dressed like a Queen, seductive with her unique makeup style walked up to Caiden with a charming smile.
“Helloo,” she flapped her perfectly manicured fingers. She looked around, searching.
“You're with no one, I guess?” She whispered. Caiden lowered his brow. She smiled. Caiden managed to nod.
Several VIP guests were beginning to arrive at this point, so many came to greet Cecilia.
She smiled, thinking she could use this to gain some attention in Caiden's sight.
“Dr. Howard, let me introduce you to a few CEOs,” she said, ready to showcase her connections.
But before she could speak further, the guests recognized Caiden already.
“Isn’t this Dr. Howard from Howard Hospital? Can you remember me? I’m Calvin James. Thanks to your treatment, our triplets are now growing healthily!”
“Dr. Howard, it’s such a pleasure to see you again! Do you remember me? You helped me through a difficult pregnancy. Now we have a healthy one year old!”
“Dr. Howard! I owe you a drink tonight. Without you, I wouldn’t still be going strong at my age!”
Cecilia stood there, stunned.
She watched as these prominent figures eagerly approached Caiden, greeting him with smiles and gratitude.
His network and influence were far beyond what one would expect from an ordinary doctor.
After finally parting with the guests, Caiden turned to Cecilia with a small, apologetic smile.
“Sorry about that, Ms. Fred. They were all former patients. To be honest, I can barely remember them.”
Cecilia smirked. “Dr. Howard, you’re quite full of surprises, how did you know my surname?” But Caiden smiled.

While she was about to be gunned down. She was still lying down, contemplating if it was her father, grandpa Fredrick that ordered for her kidnapping, or if it was Derrick.A few seconds later, as they stood in the middle of the empty road, arguing as they made their final plans.Suddenly, bright headlights appeared from the darkness of the road.It was approaching them with a loud roar, like it was a big truck. It was moving very fast, like the break had just failed.“What the hell is this, who is driving this carelessly…”One of the men let out a frightened scream before a huge truck slammed into them. The crash was brutal, very brutal as it approached. The truck hit them with a great force.Their bodies were thrown into the air, some were pushed in the nearby bush.Cecilia wasn’t touched, because she was kept in the nearby bush, so the truck didn’t get to her.It didn’t slow down at all.It drove straight throu

The memory filled him with a sense of pride he couldn’t quite put into words.Thinking about it made his smile widen. His pace naturally quickened as he made his way toward the private lounge attached to his office, eager to see his wife. The instant he pushed the door open, his eyes landed on her.Cecilia was seated comfortably on the couch, holding a glass of wine while reviewing several documents on her tablet. Chapter 82
Caiden walked with Fredrick, accompanied by the policemen from the hospital to the police station. As soon as they arrived, the doors of the police station closed behind Derrick as two officers led him inside. His wrists were secured in handcuffs, his clothes were rumpled, and his face was filled with fury.“This was ridiculous! I didn’t push that patient on purpose!” he shouted, struggling against the officers. “You had no right to hold me here. I knew my rights!”Neither of the officers responded. That only made Derrick even angrier.“Did you know who I was? Call my lawyer! Call my father-in-law! Call someone for me!” he yelled.Still, no answer, the silence was far more humiliating than any insult.Derrick felt completely helpless. Chapter 81
After his earlier heated argument with Caiden, he was about to head out to the hospital corridor.Derrick walked through the hospital corridor as if he owned the place. He dragged his feet as he moved, making his steps echo loudly against the floor. There was something arrogant in the way he lifted his chin, almost as if he was mocking everything around him.The clean smell of antiseptic, the nurses that were rushing in and out, and the urgency in the air meant nothing to him. People like him always acted like consequences were meant for others.A tired doctor stepped into his path, clearly exhausted from a long shift, holding a patient file and trying to pass without any trouble. He didn’t even get the chance to speak properly. As the doctor brushed past him and their shirts barely touched, Derrick suddenly grabbed him and landed a hard slap across his face. The sound echoed through the corridor, making everyone stop and stare. For a moment, everything went still. The doctor stumble
Chapter 80
The emergency ward had been filled with tension and chaos when Caiden walked in.Monitors were beeping sharply, while nurses moved quickly in and out of the room with a hurry. The strong smell of antiseptic was still in the air like a warning sign that something serious had gone wrong.Grandpa Frederick arrived a while ago from the jet completely unconscious, but other doctors had taken over his care since Caiden was quite occupied with Cecilia. For a brief moment, even the most experienced nurses had exchanged silent glances, saying nothing out loud. His pulse was very weak, his breathing kept on coming uneven, and his skin was now turning so pale, that the situation had felt heavier than an ordinary emergency case.Caiden walked in carefully, completely without panicking, because he knew exactly what he was doing. He rolled up his sleeves as he crossed the sterile floor, eyes were already scanning the monitor readings. There was no hesitation in his movements, only the sharp focus
