An atmosphere of shouting and chaos prevailed in the Nameless section. Manas was trying to calm everyone down. Those in the group felt that the humiliation inflicted upon their friend was inflicted upon them as well; they wanted revenge. Realizing he couldn't silence everyone, he climbed onto the table and shouted for them to quiet down, and all sounds in the hall suddenly ceased. Speaking up again, he said no revenge would be taken, as no one supports us in the academy. Making a wrong move would get all of us expelled.
From amidst the crowd, a pale-skinned, black-haired, thin boy named Drutan stood up and said that there is actually a fair and rule-compliant way for revenge; we can challenge them to a match. Right now, they still can't use their powers like us, so this way we can teach them a lesson.
Manas angrily said that is true, we can defeat them now, but what will happen when they grow stronger? If they try to take revenge on us later, it won't be good for us at all. Remember that according to academy rules, the Nameless are forced to accept any duel challenge made to them. We are the weak side, and what we need to focus on here is survival. Stop making moves that provoke the other side.
Everyone in the hall, including Eric, agreed with Manas. The policy of a weak group had to be peaceful; they had no other choice.
Then Eric stood up and said in a booming voice: "My friends, thank you all for defending me, but Manas is right. Pursuing an aggressive strategy is to our detriment. What we need to do is focus on training, get stronger, and show what the Nameless can do. If we stick together well enough, we can stand against them even with our meager power".
Cheers were heard from the hall. Then someone from the crowd stood up and said: "I have good news for you; my father is a historian, and once, among his documents, I saw something about the hidden power of the Nameless". Suddenly everyone in the hall paid close attention to the mysterious boy. The boy continued, saying: "As far as I learned, if one of the Nameless discovers the power of hallucination, they can share this power with other Nameless. Thanks to this power, the Nameless achieved immense powers".
Looking at the boy, Manas asked: "Partan, this is truly good news, but how are we going to discover this power?"
Partan replied: "To be honest, I don't know that for sure either. As far as I know, it requires meditating and finding out within your inner world why you possess this power".
Faced with what he heard, Manas fell into despair; their only hope was nothing more than an ancient inscription. The others fell into despair just like Manas. They didn't know why they possessed these powers; it was simply a family heritage.
Eric looked at those around him and said: "My friends, do not despair, I know how to do this, it just takes a little time. Until then, what you need to do is give training more importance than anyone else. Believe in the day you will succeed".
Even though the 20-member group didn't believe this at all, they knew they had nothing else to trust. They were well aware of what had happened to the previous Nameless groups.
Manas spoke up again: "Anyway, that's enough talking for today, we'll think about what to do in the coming days. Training starts tomorrow, you need to sleep early". As everyone went to their beds, Eric was left in the middle. Partan came over to him and said: "I guess you don't know where to go; my room is for two people and there's an empty bed, you can stay there if you want".
Saying "Thanks," Eric followed him up to the second floor and they went to the room at the very end. Pointing to the empty bed with his hand, Partan said: "Here is your bed, tomorrow an official will bring your school uniform to your room. Good night".
Eric thanked him and immediately threw himself onto the bed. Fixing his gaze on the ceiling, he started to think; he had experienced a lot of things within a single day, he had been humiliated, betrayed by his friend, and on top of that beaten by a girl. But looking on the bright side, he had made a lot of new and reliable friends. He wouldn't forget the betrayal and humiliation he suffered. The only thing he needed to do now was to figure out why this power existed, and this way he would teach those conceited people a great lesson. He stopped thinking, closed his eyes, and drifted into a nice, warm sleep after a tiring day. He was happy to be in such a comfortable place.
When he woke up in the morning, the sky was covered with clouds, looking like it was going to rain, and a rather gloomy weather dominated outside. Eric woke up and looked around, seeing that right beside him were various different clothes, underwear, and the academy uniform. When he looked at Partan, he noticed he was still sleeping. At that moment, Manas's shouts were heard; he was trying to wake everyone up. Hearing his voice, Partan quickly woke up and stood on his feet.
The door opened and Manas entered, saying, "Get up quickly and put on your uniforms, we'll have breakfast and go to training," then quickly went outside and headed to the other rooms. Partan laughed, looking at Eric, and said, "Isn't he a total workaholic?" After Eric nodded with a happy expression, the two put on their clothes and came to the hall. When everyone gathered, Manas walked in front of them and they set off toward the cafeteria.
When they went outside, Eric, looking up at the sky, noticed the dark clouds in the sky. "I guess winter is approaching," he thought. Eric loved the gloomy and cold winter weather very much; in Arcadia, it snows a lot in winter and doesn't melt until May, and snowy weather was one of Eric's favorite things.
When they arrived at the cafeteria, all eyes were on them again. When they sat down for food, Eric began to look around and saw Kayn chatting and laughing with his new friends; a bunch of boys and girls had gathered around him, everyone talking about how strong and charismatic he was.
At that moment, the door opened, and along with the instructors, a large, bulky, black-haired man entered. Eric recognized this man; he was the man he saw the evening two weeks ago. He turned to Manas and asked who this man was. Looking in that direction, Manas replied, "Are you talking about the one in the middle? That's Sadan, the academy director. From what I've heard, he used to be one of the top 15 strongest hunters. Literally a living legend, and he's also a boss-class hunter".
While the two continued talking, Sadan and those with him sat at their own table. When Sadan sat down, he saw Eric sitting at the Nameless table. The instructors sitting next to him at that moment were pointing to Kayn and giving information about him. Pointing his index finger at Eric, Sadan said, "I think that kid has potential too. I met him at the ball two weeks ago and witnessed what he did. He reminds me of the legends about the first hunters. As you know, today everyone thinks you can only become a hunter through sheer power, whereas we are not warriors, we must use our minds, stay alert, and fulfill the requirements of being a hunter".
"A hunter must know how to make a plan and how to trap the prey".
"Nowadays, we are no different from stupid warriors; we attack every monster we see blindly without thinking. I think he will become a very good hunter in the future, maybe he is the one who will return us to our essence".
One of those next to him said, "But sir, he is a Nameless".
Sadan turned to the person who said this and replied, "So what if he is? I'm sure he will make the best use of even this little power in his hand. To tell you the truth, a 5-year period where we will have a lot of fun awaits us".
Manas looked at Eric and asked, "What is the deal between you and yesterday's kid?" After hesitating a bit at this question, Eric replied, "I guess my friend". Surprised by this answer, Manas said, "You guess your friend? What does that mean?"
Eric said with a bored expression, "Until yesterday I thought he was my friend, now I don't know, maybe he is my enemy now". At that moment, Kayn, enjoying his new life, considered his action from the previous day justified, thinking that Eric should know his place and not exceed his limits.
Pointing to the red-haired girl, Eric asked, "Then who is she?" This time Partan chimed in, saying, "That girl is Hela from the Red Dragon family. As you understood yesterday, she is as dangerous as she is beautiful". Rubbing his aching spots, Eric said, "Unfortunately, I'm beginning to learn this the hard way," and started laughing. Suddenly everyone at the table burst into laughter.
Pointing to their table, Sadan said, "Look, it has already begun........."

At that moment, the life energy radiating from his body was enough to leave everyone's jaws dropped. The life energy was black in color, not transparent like the others, but completely dark. Eric POVWhen the morning sun illuminated the horizon, the cool and sweet morning breeze caressed Eric's face. Rubbing his eyes, Eric looked around; since he had slept in front of the stable, what happened yesterday was not a dream but reality. He got up cheerfully and stood up.After yawning to shake off his sluggishness, realizing his stomach was empty, he went in front of the hut to have breakfast, and as he was returning to the stable to start his chores, he noticed Kayn coming toward him from a distance. There was a very surprised expression on his face.Coming over to Eric, Kayn hugged him and said, "Thank you, and I'm sorry for everything, please forgive me, I said very bad things to you."Stepping back, Eric looked at Kayn and replied, "It doesn't matter, you're my friend after all."Actually, with these words, Kayn would trust Eric even more, and this would work to his advantage.Kayn still couldn't believe what had happened. Chapter 4Eric POVFergus was quite surprised by what he heard. Fulfilling this request wasn't a problem for him, but to become a hunter, one needed to be able to use life energy, and such individuals came from specific bloodlines. The probability of a commoner possessing such a talent was one in 100,000.Despite knowing this probability, Eric trusted his luck. Or rather, a gut feeling deep inside told him so. His instincts had never failed him up to this day. With a surprised expression, Fergus asked, "Are you sure about this? Is there anyone in either of your bloodlines capable of becoming a hunter?"Stepping in, Eric replied, "At least I want to try. If it doesn't work out, you can send my friend and me to another country, right?"Fergus found this idea smart; either way, the children would benefit, and he would come out ahead.Looking at Eric, Fergus said, "Alright, that works for me. Now go get some rest; I'll send you and your friend to the academy trials in 2 weeks."Hearing th

Eric POVHe was following the man who made his way through the silent darkness of the night, having no intention of turning him in just yet, merely curious to see what he would do. In Eric's view, the man was a thief with a plan to take advantage of the banquet to rob the house, so he continued to watch him. However, there was one thing he couldn't understand: why would a life energy user, moving like a shadow, engage in petty theft?According to what he had heard, individuals capable of using life energy became extremely powerful, and they were commonly known as hunters.Hunters were a large community that hunted monsters in the wild lands belonging to the Kingdom of Arkadia. When Eric looked ahead again, he saw the man climbing through a window. He was very excited, but at the same time, he rather enjoyed the feeling, imagining himself as a true hunter. For Eric, who lived a monotonous and boring life, even the simplest adventure felt like something wonderful. He pushed his thought

The soldiers behind him stopped running, drew the bows from their waists, nocked their arrows, pulled the bowstrings taut, and waited for the order. At the commander's order to "fire at will," arrows came whizzing through the air toward the man.The old man could now taste death in his throat as six arrows pierced his back simultaneously. He groaned in pain and collapsed to the ground. His journey had finally reached its end. Dying this way caused him deep agony; he had never experienced happiness throughout his life: his father was killed, his mother was forcefully taken and sold as a slave, and he had no brothers or sisters. Later, he got a new family, but his bad luck still refused to leave him. His first three children died of disease, while the last one was sold as a slave, leaving goodness knows what fate in store for him. On top of all that, his beloved wife, Alya, had suddenly fallen ill and passed away before he even understood what was happening. He began to cry, asking hims
