At night, the Lafayette Mansion was lit up more than usual.

Jacques Lafayette threw a party to bring Lagoon City society closer to him and his family.

At the entrance and in the foyer, guests were in awe of the renovated mansion. The white and immaculate floor and the staircase divided in two that gave access to the second floor left some with their jaws dropping. Just above the stairs, the chandelier was so huge that Reuben wondered how anyone managed to hang it from the ceiling.

Alan jokes, “Probably Mr. Lafayette asked some Nephilim.”

Reuben is dumbfounded. Would it be possible?

Maggie and Bernardo brought a team from Maggiezine to record the moment. Videographers and photographers spread out in strategic positions to work professionally.

Jacques appeared in his black tuxedo with a bow tie, “Gentlemen, Mr. and Mrs. Marçal... What a pleasure to welcome you. Oh, I see you brought your team...”

“As per our arrangement.” Bernardo winks at him.

Diane Mountain offered to help, wanting to reminisce about old times.” Rosemary leaned on the other side of the counter.“She offered? That’s interesting.” Thierry smiled.“I don’t think you know, but during the 90s, she lived here with her uncle, Moacyr Barbosa.” Rosemary also smiled, reminiscing a

  • Chapter 3269 Felipe Wants to Move Out

Following Josias’s advice, João Paulo Queiroz Rocha’s next column featured Pedro and Daniela Reis with their firstborn, Raymond Chaves Lombardi Reis. The audience melted over the newborn. Letters and emails flooded Pedro and Daniela’s inboxes, along with gifts and bouquets from various parts of the city and Espírito Santo, wishing happiness and a good journey in raising the future heir. As promised, Pedro and Daniela traveled to Victoria to show the baby to Raymond and Cristina, Pedro’s maternal grandparents. After all, the grandfather was being honored. Rosemary remained in charge of the building, aided by some staff Pedro had hired along the way. Diane appeared that day, looking at the portraits of Teodoro and Beto hanging on the wall. Rosemary showed up wearing an apron. “Hello, Rosemary,” Diane greeted. “How are things here without Pedro and Daniela?” “Well, as you can see, things are complicated. But I’m managing,” Rosemary smiled, wiping sweat from her brow with her forear

Felipe stormed into the Mountain Penthouse, banging loudly on the door. The noise was enough to make Daryl and Diane rush into the living room, startled. “Oh, son, it’s just you,” Daryl reassured himself. “How was your visit at the shantytown building?” “They’re still slum-dwellers and rude as ever!” Felipe growled, collapsing onto the sofa and angrily kicking off his sneakers. Diane pursed her lips. “They didn’t welcome you. Well, don’t complain that you don’t care then.” “Why should I care, after all?” Felipe exclaimed, raising his hands. “I’m the media sensation thanks to Aunt Maggie. I should be happy and celebrating my life!” “That’s right, son,” Daryl said, giving a thumbs-up. “So, Dad, I hope you understand what I’m about to ask you now.” “Go ahead, I’ll help you,” Daryl said, rubbing his hands together. Felipe hesitated for a few seconds before asking, “Would you agree with me if I announced that I want to move out?” Daryl was about to agree, but he wouldn’t pretend t

Luís looked eyelid-deep at the arriving family, not sensing their oddness, merely waving with his free hand. “Hello, lovely people! Is Daniela feeling better? Does the baby look more like her or that ugly father of his?” Sofia approached Luís and SNATCHED the magazine from his hands. Luís was startled. “You should’ve gone with us if you really wanted to know!” “Hey, why did you take the magazine from me? It’s not like I was reading Playboy!” A.J. asked sweetly, “What’s ‘Playboy,’ Dad?” Alan shot Luís a stern look while covering his innocent son’s ears. Damn, cousin! Sofia crossed her arms, placing the magazine farther from her. “Luís, are you seriously thinking about getting involved with that girl again?” “I never had anything with Suzy.” Luís straightened up. “So you want your first time to be with her?” Alan asked, echoing his wife’s indignation. “I... After recovering from childbirth, Daniela and her baby boy returned home. Pedro’s apartment became too small to accommodate all the people who wanted to see the newborn and heir of the Teodoro Building. Only Josias and his group were enough to fill the living room. Even Beto and Teresa came all the way from Belo Horizonte to take a look at their grandson. Josias and Beto embraced fervently to soothe their longing. “Your grandson, Beto. Another one,” Josias said. “What an emotion, Josias,” Beto replied when the hug ended. “I’m truly happy with the son I have.” “And did you see how everything was well organized?” Josias gestured. “The building is in good hands.” “That’s true,” Beto said, wiping away a tear that insisted to fall. Pedro approached with two glasses of orange juice. “No beer for the old man here.” Beto laughed, taking the glass. “Son, I was telling Josias: you’re doing a good job keeping the building just like before, well organized and clean.
