Frank's cubicle felt tight as though the air had been knocked out of the space. Chatters from Co–workers blurred into echoes. Mr. Ballard's gaze earlier was like a bullet shot from a Silenced pistol— lethal and venomous.

The phone on his table buzzed non-stop. His father was calling, Why?

Why?

His father disowned him five years ago. No calls. No Text. He just burnt the bridge. Now he was calling. Again, why? But Blake knew this was a crack. It wasn't reconciliation. The call, it has an agenda. All red flags.

He bragged about being the son of the mysterious CEO of Globulex, geared by the She–devil, Sarah and now, he didn't know what awaits him in the boardroom. Mr. Ballard's Expression wasn't joking. Sarah is gone and he was alone to face whatever the aftermath of his foolishness would be.

He forced his shoulder to straighten but he hunched, his suit felt heavy and useless, the phone still buzzing in his hand as he walked in the direction of the boardroom.
