A well dressed gentleman was standing behind the guards. He looked like a very rich fellow, and the guards seemed to respect him as he walked towards them.

"But sir..."

"No buts", he interrupted, raising his right hand in the air. Then he bent forward and lent a hand to Adrian. "I heard everything. Let the young man come."

As Adrian came to his feet, the man shook his hand. "My name is James Halton, I am Mr Rodriquez's personal assistant. I heard everything you said about Miss Lyana. Are you sure about what you are saying?"

Not that he was super sure, but the system had been his informant. So far, everything the system said had been true. He could heal from serious injuries in a matter of seconds. He could locate Lyana without having any prior idea of where she might have been. If the system was right in all of that, then it must be right about her life being in danger.

"Yes sir. I am sure about this."

"And you think you can save her?"

About that, he didn't know what he was needed to do but something told him he needed to see her first. Then the system would tell him what to do.

"Well..."

They were interrupted by rushed footsteps which came in their direction.

"Mr Halton! Mr Halton!! It is the little Miss!! She is having a serious episode!"

James Halton turned around in shock. He didn't need to hear anymore before he sped after the female servants who had come to call him. And Adrian followed him instinctively, knowing something was happening to Lyana. He checked the visible screen, she still had about five minutes left to live. He could still save her.

As they reached the super large hospital room, Adrian could feel the tension across the room. The seeds of tragedy growing slowly, waiting to unleash.

"Please doctor! Save her!!" Matilda cried beside the bed, holding the hands of the dying girl. The doctors were trying everything they could.

The female servants stood together at a corner, sobbing. James Halton rushed to the side of Matilda and looked the lead doctor in the eye. "What is going on, Doctor Lewis? The girl is becoming worse."

Doctor Lewis shook his head. "I'm sorry, Mr Halton. We have tried everything, and there's nothing more we can do now. Her chances of survival are way below one. We can only hope for some miracle."

"Hope for a miracle?" Halton squeezed the doctor's coat in anger, it looked like he was going to attack him. Then his eyes fell on Adrian.

"You! You said you could save her. Then come forward and do something!"

Every eye turned to Adrian, wondering how this misfit was going to do anything to save the billionaire's daughter when well trained medical personelle had failed to do a thing for her.

"This thing?! I thought I instructed those two dimwits to throw him out!" Matilda boiled. It was as though she was disgusted by the very sight of him.

"Who is this?" Doctor Lewis questioned.

"Someone who hasn't given up on her!" Halton ushered Adrian forward as the doctors protested it.

"What are his credentials?" The doctor asked again.

He had none.

"We cannot allow him to do anything to her."

"The doctor is right, James." Matilda seconded. "This thing cannot even keep himself clean, how can he keep Lyana alive?"

"She has about 59 seconds left." Adrian faced James Halton, not minding what the others were saying. If he was going to save her, then they couldn't delay it any longer.

"Come on. Do your thing." James Halton gave way for him as he stepped beside Lyana who lay unconscious.

"No. We cannot allow an outsider to lay hands on our patient. Especially an high ranking patient like Miss Lyana, and especially not this person dressed in rags, wet with blood and water. We cannot allow this..."

Lewis found his voice cut off as his head crashed on the wall behind him and his throat burnt at the choke hold of James Halton.

"Shut the fuck up, doctor!"

Meanwhile, Adrian held Lyana's other hand and awaited his instructions.

"System. Now." He whispered in his heart. "Don't fail me now."

A shining light grew between his hand and Lyana's, and it grew brighter, fazing everyone in the room.

"What is he doing?"

"Is this magic?"

"You see, James. I told you he was a fraud!"

"Someone stop this man..."

Then the light receded, and in Adrian's hand was a little oval glass gourd of glowing white liquid.

"GIVE THE POTION OF LIFE TO MISS LYANA. YOU HAVE TEN SECONDS LEFT."

Instantly, he swiped the glass open and turned it over on her lips. The potion came out in drops. By the third drop, Lyana Rodriguez coughed and her eyes opened to the sight of Adrian.

"Did she just... Open her eyes? Is she awake?" A maid whispered.

"She is alive." Another responded. "He truly saved her life."

Everywhere was as quiet as a grave house as each person stared at another in shock, then at Adrian, then at Lyana who was slowly sitting up by herself.

"What happened?" Lyana muttered, seemingly unaware of her sickness. "Why is everyone staring at me?"

In a moment, the silence became chaos as the entire room erupted into jubilations. The maid servants all hugged one another in tears while the doctors shook their heads in shame. James Halton and Matilda held Lyana as if she had come back from the dead, suprised at how good she looked. It was as if she was never ill in the first place.

"CONGRATULATIONS, MR BLOOD. YOU HAVE COMPLETED YOUR FIRST MISSION. YOU ARE NOW OFFICIALLY GRANTED THE STATUS OF ANCHOR."

Adrian's work here was done. He had saved the life of the billionaire girl. He had no more reason to be in that room, especially after the loads of insult he had taken today.

With everyone else distracted by their jubilations, Adrian turned around to leave. Just as he reached the doorway where the two security guards stayed, he heard a voice calling him.

"Wait up, gentleman!" It was James Halton. He must want to thank him personally for what he had just done.

"You have done an incredible service to this family. I am certain the chairman would want to meet you himself. You can ask him for anything you want. Anything at all."

Adrian was not going to do any such thing. He was not the biggest fan of the Rodriguez family. They had always stepped on the lower families to glorify themselves with their riches. He was not ready to sit on the same table with Federico Rodriguez or any member of that family. Also anytime he remembered what happened tonight with Ricardo and Teresa, his anger doubled.

"No, thank you." He declined. "I don't need any reward."

Adrian turned around, leaving James Halton with a shocked expression.

"I still do not know your name." He requested.

"Adrian Blood." A cab stopped in front of Adrian. How convenient to find them when a life was not on the line.

As he returned back home for the rest of the night, his phone, almost completely destroyed by the traumas of tonight, vibrated continuously.

"CONGRATULATIONS. YOU HAVE BEEN REWARDED WITH ONE MILLION DOLLARS AND TEN CHARACTER POINTS AFTER COMPLETING TODAY'S MISSION!"

Ricardo Rodriguez was still wondering why he got the red blemish on his face. He did not remember ever getting hurt in anyway, neither did he get into a fight. But if none of those memories came to him, how would he explain this obvious red scar he found on the mirror."This is weird..." He said, observing his face through the reflective wall. Not even a single idea, not even a single memory. It was as though it just came out of nowhere.Ricardo's phone jilted. It was his man, Scorpion."What is it?"Scorpion had a deep rooted voice. "Your father is hell bent on finding that dead body. Right now, we are on the move to that place where his body was dumped. Orders are to search till we get a lead."Ricardo was not suprised at his father's sudden obsession with Han Zimmer's dead body. After all, he met with that old man at the end of the world in camera. Even though he had no idea what it was they said to one another, Ricardo knew it had something to do with this urge to retrieve the bod

"That is enough. Lyana Rodriguez is my guest. You will treat her with respect. Everyone can go back to their duties now." Lyu dispersed the crowd. Even if there was a few grumbles here and there, the kids eventually went back to whatever it was they were doing before Lyana Rodriguez's grand entrance. Yet some kept their gaze on her as they walked away, especially the instigator who had inspired the little kid against her. Till she could not figure out his face as he disappeared into the darkness, his gaze was strictly on her. Then Lyu kept on the move again, beckoning on Lyana to follow him. As she followed, she had a lot of questions to ask. How long had this old man been adopting children into this cave? How does he manage to keep them all fed and alive for so many years? How does he manage to avoid detection by the Raven government. He literally created a village of refugees on these rocks. How come nobody had never stumbled upon it?Did he use some sort of sorcery? Afterall, she s

It was dark when they returned to the cave. The moon barely showed the eyes any signs of an inhabitable presence no matter how hard Lyana Rodriguez forced her gaze in search of one. It looked desolate, it looked empty. This place was nothing but a pile of rocks, devoid of even animal life. Why in the world would this man bring her to a place like this?"Where exactly is this place? Where are we going?" The surroundings had no life. The evening had no soul. The birds flew past with no songs, possibly in haste to escape the void that spread beneath them."Follow me." He said, not uttering another statement. He walked further, then she saw it. It was dark, but it was there. An opening, a crack among the spread of rocks. The closer she got, the bigger it became to her. And the more luminescent it turned out to be. It was suddenly not at a complete loss for life or hope. The light she could trace into the hole suggested that people exist deep within that hole."A cave..."Lyana Rodriguez f

"I know you do not trust me right now, Lyana. But you really can not make the mistake of staying here in this city when there are so many people after you. You need to get away..." The old man said in the terms of a plea, yet Lyana had a feeling that she did not have much choice anyway."What do you know about me?" She asked rather in rhetorics. There was nobody in the world who knew enough about her to tell whether she was making the right decision or not. Perhaps Adrian Blood, then nobody else. Besides, this man claimed to be her mother's friend. What sort of a friend stays hidden for so many years and then turns up at a whim of their own desire like this? That was no true friend. That was only a companion."Please, child. It is not my place to tell you what to do, but allow me to atone for my sins." It was as if he listened to her thoughts, as if he eavesdropped on the conversations of her mind.He placed his hands on her shoulders. As much as she was triggered to shove his old fin

"You have such beautiful eyes, just like your mother..."He stared at her with so many expressions written in his eyes. So many thoughts seemed to cross his mind at the same time. For so many seconds, Lyana Rodriguez was left in confusion of whom this person might be. Then she remembered the tablet. The conversations. Could this be...? No way?"Are you the one? My... real father?"The man's gaze widened. It was as though he never expected that she would be as quick as that to recognize his supposed identity. "What...?""You are the one who spoke to me in that cell and promised to get me out, are you not? You sent this girl to save me, did you not?"The old man stared at the girl. There was nothing that suggested that they were allies or that they worked together. In fact, if anything, there were more like foes who had just crossed paths again.. His expression shifted into anger as the teenager glared back in annoyance."No," he said. "I did not send that thing to you. Why would I sen

The last time Lyana saw this monster, her brain was still submerged under the influence of whatever it was she had been drugged. Seeing him now, resentment surged in her heart, and hate took the place of his memory. Each word he spoke was nothing but disgust in her ears."Come on, my love. There is nowhere to run to now." Luther Astana laughed. His followers slowly diverged, ensuring that Lyana had nowhere to run. They had made a plan to encircle her. What was this? She had just escaped from that dreadful place. Was she going to somewhere else now?"What are you doing?" Lyana asked. "You are still a prisoner, remember?"Luther only sneered. "And so are you, my love. Does that not make us lovers behind bars. Perhaps we were truly meant to be. Anyway, the prison exists no longer. My freedom has been worked out by my father because he still considers me his son. I know it is something that is beyond your reach these days. You see, my family and yours, we are levels apart. My family would
