"Identifying Host: Adrian Blood. 21 years old. Background: No parents, Raised by a maid. Chosen to rule the world. CONGRATULATIONS HOST, THE SYSTEM IS NOW YOURS."

"Ohh... What?" He thought in his mind. What was this voice ringing in his brain? And what was this saying about... "A system?!"

"CORRECT!"

He must be running crazy. There was no way systems were real. And even if they were, why would he be the chosen one?

"System detects harmful elements on host. Ejecting now!"

Before he knew it, the little shards of glass which stuck painfully to his skin gradually removed by themselves, slowly and painlessly. He felt a new surge of energy within himself. He could barely lift a arm before but now he felt like he could run around the tracks of the largest stadium in the world. This was crazy. Adrian couldn't believe it.

"Wow... How is this possible?"

A transparent screen appeared before his eyes, and the voice continued inside his mind.

"HOST CURRENT LEVEL: LEVEL ZERO OR HOST STATUS. There are five levels in this system, god status is the highest level. You must reach the god status."

"But... But how?"

"By completing tasks and missions. How would you like your first mission to be? Choose, A secret or a prediction?"

"Ummm..." He mumbled, getting himself off the waste ground and onto his feet. "Let's see... A prediction."

"Prediction. Lyana Rodriguez is going to die in one hour! You are the only one who can save her. Find her and save her life."

"What? Lyana Rodriguez?"

That was the sister of Ricardo Rodriguez. She used to be the beauty queen of the entire city just a few months ago. That was before she got into her brutal accident which has kept her on the hospital bed since then. Rumours about her not to ever walk again spread like news, and now the system said she's got only an hour left to live.

But why would Adrian want to save her? Afterall she was the sister of that man who had always humiliated him. That monster who promised to take everything away from him. All members of the Rodriguez family were famous for their prideful nature. Infinite arrogance which made them look down on everybody else and based off the news he had heard, Lyana Rodriguez was not any different.

In spite of all this, he still could not let her die if he had the chance to save her. Even if she was just as evil as her brother, she still deserved a second chance. Moreover, this was his first task. No way that he would screw it up.

"How do I find her?" Adrian took a deep breathe, ready to begin his first mission.

Before his eyes, the mysterious screen became a map. Lyana Rodriguez' location was in the Elite Infirmary, that was just a few buildings from here. If he found a cab now, he should be there in ten minutes. But there were no vehicles on the road tonight. So he took to his heels, running as fast as he could while the time ticked down on the screen beside him.

Just as he approached a mega sized building which shone super bright amidst the dark night, the heavens opened up with rain, pouring heavily and soaking him terribly.

"YOU ARE NOW AT THE ELITE INFIRMARY! Please proceed and find the VIP ward. You have twenty minutes left."

Before Adrian could follow the instructions, two huge men stood in his way, wearing a troublesome glare.

"And where do you think you're going?"

The hospital security pushed back at him, their looks super terrifying.

"Urr... I came to meet Miss Lyana Rodriguez. It is very important that I meet her. It's about her health."

"Sure, it is." They laughed at each other. "If you're gonna act as a doctor, then you might wanna get better outfits, you pauper." One said, shaking his head.

The other one pointed at him. "Look at your tattered dress and dirty body. It's obvious you came here to beg for money from the Rodriquez. And is that blood all over your body? Maybe you're not a beggar afterall, maybe you're a bloody criminal!"

He suddenly came charging.

"No. No. You don't understand. This is a life and death situation. I have to see her!"

But they didn't listen anymore. They lifted Adrian off his feet already. He was going to get thrown out into the street a second time tonight.

"What is the meaning of all this?" A voice froze them in action and Adrian was released from those cold grasps.

A mansori Lamborghini was parked in front of them, and a woman was standing beside it, one female servant holding up an umbrella over her head while another held the tail of her long gown so it would not soak on the wet floor.

"Mrs Rodriguez?!" The two men shook in suprise and fear.

This woman must be Matilda Rodriguez, the wife of Federico Rodriguez and step mother of both Ricardo and Lyana. She looked as cold and stern as the people described her, and you could tell how fearsome she was by observing the terrified expressions of her servants as well as the security guards.

"This man says he wants to take care of Miss Lyana. He claims her life is in danger. But there is nothing to worry about, we were just about to take care of him."

Matilda's eyes rolled from the guards to Adrian, staring in confusion.

"She has only fifteen minutes left!" Adrian said, glancing at the transparent screen which only him could see. "Mrs Rodriguez, you have to let me save her!"

Matilda's eyes scanned through his full figure up and down before she hissed and turned to the guards.

"Take care of him. I don't want to see this thing anywhere near my daughter, or this hospital for that matter." She walked away, escorted by her servants, leaving him at the mercy of these zombies.

"You heard that, homeboy. You just pissed off Madam. You pissed off the wrong person. You should have just fucked off when I asked nicely, now I guess we have to teach you a lesson".

When Adrian first saw Matilda, he thought his mission had become easier. That she would hear him out and take him serious, afterall it's her step daughter's life at stake. But she didn't seem to care. She just ignored him like a mad man. Still he couldn't give up on her yet. He should try again.

"But no... I'm saying the truth. Mrs Rodriguez..." Adrian tried to call after her, but as he walked forward, the guards kicked him down with brute force.

"Do you have a death wish?"

As he stayed down, defeated, he wished the system would show him a way to get past these people. But it only remained silent. All he saw was the ticking clock as it burnt down in seconds. Ten minutes left

Was he going to fail his first mission? Would he be unable to save Lyana Rodriguez's life?

Suddenly, a voice commanded from behind the guards. "Let him pass."

Ricardo Rodriguez was still wondering why he got the red blemish on his face. He did not remember ever getting hurt in anyway, neither did he get into a fight. But if none of those memories came to him, how would he explain this obvious red scar he found on the mirror."This is weird..." He said, observing his face through the reflective wall. Not even a single idea, not even a single memory. It was as though it just came out of nowhere.Ricardo's phone jilted. It was his man, Scorpion."What is it?"Scorpion had a deep rooted voice. "Your father is hell bent on finding that dead body. Right now, we are on the move to that place where his body was dumped. Orders are to search till we get a lead."Ricardo was not suprised at his father's sudden obsession with Han Zimmer's dead body. After all, he met with that old man at the end of the world in camera. Even though he had no idea what it was they said to one another, Ricardo knew it had something to do with this urge to retrieve the bod

"That is enough. Lyana Rodriguez is my guest. You will treat her with respect. Everyone can go back to their duties now." Lyu dispersed the crowd. Even if there was a few grumbles here and there, the kids eventually went back to whatever it was they were doing before Lyana Rodriguez's grand entrance. Yet some kept their gaze on her as they walked away, especially the instigator who had inspired the little kid against her. Till she could not figure out his face as he disappeared into the darkness, his gaze was strictly on her. Then Lyu kept on the move again, beckoning on Lyana to follow him. As she followed, she had a lot of questions to ask. How long had this old man been adopting children into this cave? How does he manage to keep them all fed and alive for so many years? How does he manage to avoid detection by the Raven government. He literally created a village of refugees on these rocks. How come nobody had never stumbled upon it?Did he use some sort of sorcery? Afterall, she s

It was dark when they returned to the cave. The moon barely showed the eyes any signs of an inhabitable presence no matter how hard Lyana Rodriguez forced her gaze in search of one. It looked desolate, it looked empty. This place was nothing but a pile of rocks, devoid of even animal life. Why in the world would this man bring her to a place like this?"Where exactly is this place? Where are we going?" The surroundings had no life. The evening had no soul. The birds flew past with no songs, possibly in haste to escape the void that spread beneath them."Follow me." He said, not uttering another statement. He walked further, then she saw it. It was dark, but it was there. An opening, a crack among the spread of rocks. The closer she got, the bigger it became to her. And the more luminescent it turned out to be. It was suddenly not at a complete loss for life or hope. The light she could trace into the hole suggested that people exist deep within that hole."A cave..."Lyana Rodriguez f

"I know you do not trust me right now, Lyana. But you really can not make the mistake of staying here in this city when there are so many people after you. You need to get away..." The old man said in the terms of a plea, yet Lyana had a feeling that she did not have much choice anyway."What do you know about me?" She asked rather in rhetorics. There was nobody in the world who knew enough about her to tell whether she was making the right decision or not. Perhaps Adrian Blood, then nobody else. Besides, this man claimed to be her mother's friend. What sort of a friend stays hidden for so many years and then turns up at a whim of their own desire like this? That was no true friend. That was only a companion."Please, child. It is not my place to tell you what to do, but allow me to atone for my sins." It was as if he listened to her thoughts, as if he eavesdropped on the conversations of her mind.He placed his hands on her shoulders. As much as she was triggered to shove his old fin

"You have such beautiful eyes, just like your mother..."He stared at her with so many expressions written in his eyes. So many thoughts seemed to cross his mind at the same time. For so many seconds, Lyana Rodriguez was left in confusion of whom this person might be. Then she remembered the tablet. The conversations. Could this be...? No way?"Are you the one? My... real father?"The man's gaze widened. It was as though he never expected that she would be as quick as that to recognize his supposed identity. "What...?""You are the one who spoke to me in that cell and promised to get me out, are you not? You sent this girl to save me, did you not?"The old man stared at the girl. There was nothing that suggested that they were allies or that they worked together. In fact, if anything, there were more like foes who had just crossed paths again.. His expression shifted into anger as the teenager glared back in annoyance."No," he said. "I did not send that thing to you. Why would I sen

The last time Lyana saw this monster, her brain was still submerged under the influence of whatever it was she had been drugged. Seeing him now, resentment surged in her heart, and hate took the place of his memory. Each word he spoke was nothing but disgust in her ears."Come on, my love. There is nowhere to run to now." Luther Astana laughed. His followers slowly diverged, ensuring that Lyana had nowhere to run. They had made a plan to encircle her. What was this? She had just escaped from that dreadful place. Was she going to somewhere else now?"What are you doing?" Lyana asked. "You are still a prisoner, remember?"Luther only sneered. "And so are you, my love. Does that not make us lovers behind bars. Perhaps we were truly meant to be. Anyway, the prison exists no longer. My freedom has been worked out by my father because he still considers me his son. I know it is something that is beyond your reach these days. You see, my family and yours, we are levels apart. My family would
