"Alright... then, Store Manager, I want the most expensive snack you have in your store. Get me enough so that all the friends present here can have one each!" Anaya Mira smiled as she spoke to the old shopkeeper, gesturing toward a particular snack.
'Let's see how you can flaunt in front of me, daring to flirt with me when you don't have a dime in your pockets,' Anaya Mira thought as she glanced back at Devansh after placing her order with the Store Manager.
"Whoa... damn, Beauty Anaya Mira is sure ruthless. Hehehe... that guy is going to cough up blood for acting high and mighty, trying to flaunt in front of her," a man who was already annoyed with Devansh for getting Anaya Mira's attention scowled coldly and laughed upon hearing her order.
"Who said he could flirt with her? Doesn't he know when to back down?" another jealous student commented coldly.
While others were badmouthing him, Devansh paid them no heed and took out his Black Diamond Card, swiping it without hesitation.
"Thank you for the purchase, young lady and young man. Your order of 55,000 Aquarius will be ready in a few minutes. Please wait calmly while we prepare your snacks," the shopkeeper smiled from ear to ear. For a few seconds, even he was stunned before responding professionally.
"What... did the shopkeeper say? 55,000 Aquarius... Damn!"
"No way... did I hear him right? He just paid 55,000 without blinking... 4uck... this is unbelievable!"
"Did we just make fun of a hidden second-generation?"
The students present fussed over the quick spending of 55,000 Aquarius on snacks.
'Damn... did I just make a mistake? Was he rich all along, and I got fooled into believing he was a pauper?' Anaya was also stunned, freezing in place with a cracked smile on her face.
"Are those snacks enough? Why not buy drinks along with them?" Devansh commented offhandedly, thinking it was way too little if he calculated his 10 percent cut.
"Oh my God, that's so cool...!"
"He swiped the card like it's nothing to him... and he's asking if it's enough? Damn...!"
The gold diggers and ass-kissers had their switches flipped, their eyes gleaming as they practically drooled over Devansh, eager to curry favor with him.
"Hey... don't mind if I do! Manager, add the drinks too—yes, the most expensive ones!" Anaya Mira, who felt she had been fooled by this idiot-looking brat, didn't hesitate and ordered the drinks as well.
"Nice... can we get to know each other on ChatWise?" Devansh grinned playfully as he swiped the card again before showing his phone screen, where his social media app scanner was open.
"Hehe... what's the hurry? We can do that later, but before that... I want to see your sincerity!" Anaya Mira also grinned as she gestured at him.
Anaya Mira distributed the snacks and drinks among all the students present in the store before she led Devansh to another place.
A little walk later, they arrived at the famous hotspot for young ladies—a shopping mall known for its branded items like handbags, heels, designer dresses, accessories, etc.
'Hehe... let's see how rich you are. I will make sure to wring you dry!' Anaya Mira thought as she entered Dio Mart.
"Now, this is serious... I hope she can spend well!" Devansh muttered, looking at the high-end stuff present in the shopping mall as he walked in.
"I am not a materialistic woman, so don't think I am taking advantage of you. You are the one who made this offer, so don't think ill of me," Anaya explained while her legs didn’t stop as she entered the handbag shop, which was also the first shop in the mall.
"Not at all. Like I said, pick whatever you like." Devansh smirked as he shook his head, showing he was not the least bit bothered by it.
'Hey... I have a large appetite. I don't think you have what it takes to make me full!' Devansh thought as he grinned playfully, looking at Anaya Mira, who was choosing a premium handbag with a shine in her eyes.
"Humph... typical woman," Devansh mumbled, seeing how excited Anaya Mira was, playing around in the shop.
"Miss... can you pack that for me?" Anaya pointed at the most costly handbag in the shop and asked the shopkeeper to pack it for her, while she didn’t forget to glance at Devansh from the corner of her eyes to see his reaction.
But noticing he wasn't the least bit bothered by her actions, she snorted and decided to go even harder with the next items she would be buying today.
'Let's see how much longer you remain smug, you show-off brat!' Anaya Mira thought with slight irritation on her beautiful face.
Anaya, without wasting any more time, went to the next shop, which was a branded high-heels store, and ordered the premium, best-of-the-shop items.
She didn’t stop there—she kept going from one shop to another, from high-end designer dresses to cosmetics and accessories. She bought everything available in Dio Mart.
"Now, what's left to see... you know I don’t mind, but can't you do something about these shopping bags of yours?" Devansh sweat-dropped a little and felt like his hands were falling off from carrying so many shopping bags.
"Huh... can't you carry a lady's shopping bags for her? Weren't you flaunting around before... Humph!" Anaya Mira, who was already annoyed by not getting the reaction she wanted from Devansh, snorted at him before walking toward the last shop in Dio Mart.
"What do you take me for? Hey... lady, listen to me when I'm talking!" Devansh wanted to scold her for using him like a cheap boyfriend who was only good for carrying her stuff, but Anaya had already walked into the last shop, leaving him talking to himself.
"Hey... isn't that the infamous Leash Lover? Who is he with this time?" A few boys present in the shop recognized Devansh’s face and started murmuring among themselves.
"Huh... fantastic. Some busybody recognized me," Devansh grimaced upon hearing the murmurs among the boys.
"Hey... look, he really is with someone... what a beauty!" Their gaze then landed on Anaya Mira, who was gesturing for Devansh to come over.
"Damn... he already found a master. Looks like the slave won’t settle down without someone to order him around, even for a day... Hahaha!" A boy commented disdainfully and laughed with his friends.
But Devansh wasn’t paying attention to them because he recognized a familiar voice next to him.
"Darling... can you buy me this brand? I love this fragrance." A familiar voice of a lady made him turn around.
"Aranya Sen...!"

"Hey... Kiran, you better have something serious after disturbing my sweet time here, otherwise I am gonna block you!" Devansh said in a slightly angry tone as he picked up her call."Devansh... sob... sob... I am sorry to disturb you but... but, I think I got kidnapped...!" Kiran's trembling voice came from the call between her sobbing."What... wait... wait, calm down, don't cry... just tell me first where you are." Devansh was wide awake, feeling the coldness returning to his body as he asked in a gentle tone, trying to calm her down."I... I don't know. I am inside a room where I can't see anything. My hands and legs are tied up." Kiran replied with a trembling tone, her voice cracking as if barely holding herself together in fear."Don't hang up, keep the phone safe, make sure no one finds out about it. Just try to remember the last place you were before you got kidnapped." Devansh asked, his heartbeat rising. He hurriedly stood up from the bed and straightened his clothes in a r

By the time he arrived back at Mira's residence, it was already quite late."Hmmn... she is still up at this time. Was she waiting for me?" Devansh looked at the lights that were on, and a warm current surged through his body, melting the tiredness away."Knock... knock...!" "Hey, Anaya. I am home." Devansh felt a strange giddiness rise in his chest as he gently knocked at the door."Click...!"Right after, the door immediately opened, and a familiar warmth enveloped him in a tight embrace."Hey, were you waiting for me?" Devansh whispered gently, hugging her back with a smile before scooping her up in a princess carry, walking into the living room, and settling down with her in his lap on the couch."Mmnn, I was waiting for you." Anaya mumbled in a quiet tone, her voice soft and affectionate, still not letting go of his embrace, as if afraid he might disappear again."Alright... alright, next time I will make sure to arrive on time." He softly caressed her silky hair, his fingers m
46. Old Officer Bery Lynn
"Yes, there is but...!" Old man nodded after looking at Devansh’s earnest expression, his gaze lingering for a second."What... I can handle it, whatever they need I will provide it." Devansh patted his chest, assuring that he will handle whatever they might need to do."There are two things. First, you need to provide solid evidences which can confirm the identity of the Boss of the North District Underworld along with his heavy crimes. Only then Special Task Force will get permission to act against them from Head of Police." Old Officer said in serious tone, making it clear to Devansh that without those evidences, nothing could be done."What's the second thing? You didn’t mention, Uncle." Devansh asked, wondering why Old Officer didn’t tell him the whole thing at once."Can you even complete the first task!" Old Officer looked at Devansh like he was staring at a rash person who doesn’t know when to back down."It does sound very tough to accomplish, but it's not impossible. I might

"Hmmn... let me see, he has blonde hair...!" Just as Inspector Mark Spencer said blonde hair, Devansh had a look of realization flash across his face."Ahh... yes, I know that person. I just didn’t recall the name." Devansh nodded but felt a sting of embarrassment creep up his neck. Not knowing the name of someone from his own class made him feel a little awkward."So, do you have any feud with him?" Inspector Mark asked again, his eyes narrowing slightly as he studied Devansh’s expression."I don’t think I have ever fought with him, maybe a little argument... but nothing major." Devansh replied honestly, shaking his head. He never had any real conflict with that arrogant punk, at least nothing he would consider serious."Hmmn... but it’s written in the report that this young man Karnish Kaur made a deal with the North District Underworld Boss to target you. If there isn’t any feud, why would he go so far?" Inspector Mark looked at the report again before staring directly at Devansh.

East District,Inside the prison ward, where suspects are kept for interrogation after the normal methods failed to break them."Ahhh... Please sto... stop... Ahhh...!" A loud, agonized scream tore through the silence, echoing violently off the cold stone walls of the prison. It came from behind the thick iron bars of one of the rooms, sending a chill down the spines of the other inmates. "He is at again...!"Those in nearby cells fell silent, shivering with dread as the raw, guttural pain in the voice reminded them of their own fate."Why should I? Didn’t you just say you wouldn’t spill anything? Well then..." The middle-aged officer chuckled softly, crouching beside the broken man lying on the floor, his voice disturbingly calm. "Let’s see just how loyal you really are to your boss." His brown hair was slicked back neatly, and his moustache twitched slightly with every word. A smile — far too composed for what he was doing — stayed frozen on his face."But... but you said you

"Hey, Resma... who did you get this gift from? It looks pretty expensive." A few personal friends came over to Resma, their eyes catching the beautifully crafted necklace resting elegantly on her neck. There was a visible spark of curiosity and admiration in their expressions."Hehe... it’s from my best friend, Ranran." Resma smiled proudly, her hand instinctively touching the necklace as she gave a playful thumbs-up toward her best friend’s boyfriend, who sat quietly in the corner."It wouldn't be less than a million, right?" another friend asked, her gaze fixed on the necklace, clearly intrigued."Now, now... don’t underestimate my Ranran’s love for me. It’s no less than five million." Resma Luis replied in a delighted tone, already aware of how rare and precious the necklace was. She looked like a girl who had just gotten her dream gift and couldn’t wait to show it off."Whoa... five million. It really does look like it’s worth that much." Her friends nodded, some in awe, others in
