Chapter 11

Training site A1

At this point, Sky had been falling for roughly fifteen minutes, and he had not stopped falling at any point throughout that time. sky was continuing to fall endlessly as if he would not get to the destination.

The moment he had being pulled into the wormhole for the first time, he felt a fleeting moment of fear; nevertheless, after fifteen minutes had gone, all he wanted was for the falling to stop, and he was ready for whatever was at the end of this wormhole, wherever it was.

"What the hell is going on? What kind of a nightmare is this?"

" or am i dead, and undergoin torture in hell?"

Sky yelled, but no one was present to answer his call for help. It was completely dark all around him, and he couldn't even make out his own hands in the darkness.

When Sky saw that there was light on a particular direction he looked in the direction of the light that was shining a few meters away from him, he could not help but feel agitated.

Sky was ready to get some relief from the pain he had been going through. After what seemed like an eternity, Sky gradually became aware that the light signified an end to his nightmare.

After some more time had passed, the light proceeded to expand and become more brilliant until it completely permeated his body, at which point he merged into the light and became one with it.

"Damm it am I going to die"

At the very moment when the sky emerged from the darkness, he had the vision of being transported to another world, or, to be more specific, he saw himself falling from the heavens and entering a forest of some type.

Sky landed on a tall tree, the trees on this forest were so tall that If he were to fall from one of the trees in the forest and land on the forest floor, it was quite possible that he would suffer several fractures due to his fragile physical condition.

But before sky could get a grip he fell once again from that tree to another, Sky covered his face with his hands as he fell, and as he came closer to the ground, he shut his eyes in order to get ready for the impact. When he did this, he was standing approximately one meter away from a large branch of a tree.

As Sky gently opened his eyes, the first thing he noticed was the large branch of the tree that he was about to hit.

The instant before he was going to collide with the tree, his body entirely stopped falling, and it came to a rest in the air somewhere above the tree.

"What the hell, I'm Floating Now."

"What  going on here, is this a movie or something?"

When he had given up all hope of his body moving again, it did so unexpectedly, and he ended up tumbling onto the branch.

"Oh my gosh, that's painful!"

In spite of the fact that he slammed into the tree with his face directly on a branch, he walked away unscathed due to the fact that the force of the hit was relatively low.

Sky got to his feet and spun around to have a better view of the surrounding forests from where he was standing. From his vantage point, the entire forest appeared to be filled with giant trees and lush grasses; the scene was so idyllic that it was almost like being in heaven.

Sky realized that the longer he looked at the region, the more familiar it seemed to him, and he eventually found himself stating, "There's something familiar about this area."

'Ding'

【The user has been transferred to the A1 training site successfully 】

Sky heard a cold mechanical voice,in his head once again.

"So, this is the training site the voice talked about, though ot dnst look like one."

"If this is rraining side A1 are the more site" Sky  thought, with hos hands on his chin.

Instantaneously, he saw a depiction of a blue screen materialize in front of his eyes.

【Mission: body training

Current status: in progress

Content: survive and escape from the black monkey spiders

Time:19:58.

What the heck are monkey spiders, and what the heck does it mean to survive and  escape?

" am I going to end up been in some sort of pursuit, or what? "

" Why doesn't this sytem come with a user manual? "

"Hey, system, or whatever you are, could you please just explain what the hell is going on to me?"

【The user's level of strenght is too weak and insufficient for retrieve any information from the system.】

Sky was relieved to learn that the system was responding;

when he was at the hospital, he had tried everything, but the system did not give him a single response or reaction.

After listening to what the system had to say about him, Sky was left feeling dejected because even the system's opinion of him wss that he was weak.

" i know am weak, but why do you have to rib it on my face"

Then, all of a sudden, he heard a sound, and when he turned over his head, he saw something that terrified him: a giant black spider that was almost as big as a human was suspended in the air using its webs; the giant spider had a lot of eyes that kept staring at him;

It also possessed a large pincer was attached to the mouth of the giant spider.

Sky had been to a good number of demon grottos, but this was the very first time he had ever seen anything that was even somewhat alike to what he was seeing now.

He estimated that the spider was around five trees away from him as it fixed its gaze on him while blinking its eyes.

Sky just kept in lookin at the creature in amazement before all of a sudden it started emitting a sound that sounded like a continuous "clik" and "clik." .

After that he heard some movement from afar, but he could not quite place what it was.

Sky concentrated his thoughts, and then he utilized the one and only talent he possessed as a knight.

He closed his eyes and focused his senses in the direction of the innumerable 'clik' sounds.

As he had suspected, there were an innumerable number of monkey spiders, and they were all looking at him. He opened his eyes again.

Sky's perceptual abilities lead him to the realization that the monkey spiders were keeping an eye on him.

A high-pitched 'clik' sound that was different and more commanding than the on he had heard reverberated throughout the entirety of the forest, and as soon as the monkey spiders heard it, they immediately took off fleeing in the direction of sky.

'Shit'

Sky was startled as soon as he spotted how they moved, normal spiders would have to crawl over the branches of the trees for long period time before reaching the next one, but this spiders were different.

The black monkey spiders, on the other hand, were unique in this in this aspect; in order to go through the trees, they would first shoot their webs to the branches of the trees, and then they would practically swing to the branch they had targeted. Sky became terrified as a result of this.

"It's probably because of this that they thought it would be a good idea to include the word monkey in their name."

Sky was surprised by the speed and dexterity with which the spiders traveled from one tree to another, behaving in a manner that was almost identical to that of monkeys.

Sky was aware that all of the spiders wanted to eat him him, he came to this conclusion because he could tell from the look in their eyes as well as how frantic they were moving, as their food was going to run away

Now that he understood why the system had urged him to run and escape, rather than fight and kill, if he was to fight or kill this spiders.

he knew that he would not be able to accomplish either of those things since the spiders were nearly as big as he was, and from the energy been given out bg their bodies, they were stronger rhan him

Sky made his way to another tree by utilizing the branches of the tree he was jumping from; one of the benefits of this forest was that the branches of the gigantic trees were connected with one another, so it made moving grom one tree to another easier.

Even though Sky's news body was weak, he had some experience running, and so, he was able to quickly navigate through the trees by using his heightened sense ability.

He gave the blue screen in front of his eyes a quick peek and noticed that he had around 10 more minutes before the completion of the mission,

He shouted at the spiders  "Hey, guys, do you think we should have like a half time?" as he leapt over a smaller branch and landed on a larger one

He rolled over on the branch n3xt to the smaller one till his back struck the tree thatvthe branch extended from.

just as he was ready to stop moving, a spider web rushed towards his face.

He was able to avoid it, but the web caught on the tree where he had just rolled on, he tried removing the web, but it was just too strong.

He followed the long and strong web with his eyes and found that it belonged to the first spider he had seen, which was infront of all the spiders that wre chasing him.

As the spider approached, he used the web itself as a swing just like the spiders did to get away from it and landed on another tree. He then continued down the path of the branches of rhe new tree running away.

"Damm it, I cant even rest"

Sky made a lightning-fast ascent to a branch on another tree once again. This time, he did not stop, but rather continued sprinting and jumping from tree to tree instead of pausing for a moment.

Sweat was covering his entire body, and he was completely exhausted, yet he was unable to stop moving because if he did, those dangerous spiders would most likely consume him.

After running for almost nine minutes, Sky was very exhausted; and  he was breathing heavily, he turned back to look and noticed that he had outrun the spiders, the majority of them were meters away from him.

There was less than a minute remaining so Sky decidedto rest, and as Sky was resting, a giant spider web shot to the tree next to him.

Sky was so close to falling off the branch of the tree he was standing on when the impact of the web occurred.

The web that came rhis time was far stronger and bigger than the ones he had seen from the other piders.

When Sky turned to look at the spider that had constructed this enormous web, he saw something that frightened him to the point of being unable to breathe.

This was a massive spider that was nearly four times as large as the ones that had been pursuing him before. Sky yelled out in shock, "What the hell is that?" "What in the devil could that be?"

As the spider swinged to the treenext to Sky where it had attched its webs to, it hit the tree witg a force was so tremendous that the tree broke in two as it could not withstand the piders weight and impact of the jump, this resulted in the spider falling along with the tree that had broken in to two.

Sky would have already died, if the spider had shot the webs to his tree, he was only lucky that, it shot the webs to the tree next to him

Sky leaped and traveled in the opposite way that the spider had fallen,he wanted to avoid that spider at all costs, any litle mistake could mean his demise.

As Sky ran, he could hear the trees around him trembling and cracking,  he knew that the sound was being caused by the enormous spider that was chasing after him.

He picked up his pace and ran as though his life depended on it, which, of course, it did.

Sky looked at the time on his on the blue screen, and a grin emerged on his face for the very first time. This was a significant moment. The mission would be finished in in around five seconds if all went according to plan.

At this point, the gigantic pincers of the spider were only a few centimeters from from Sky.

The Pincers attempted to seize Sky, but he evaded their hold and spun, allowing the pincers to only grab a portion of his clothing. Just then, the gigantic spider sprang immediately to the tree where Sky was. The force of the crash was so great that it hurled Sky into the air.

The force of the hit caused Sky to be struck in the back, and the agony he endured there was so severe that it felt virtually identical to the misery he would have felt if he had been driven over by a bulldozer.

At that very instant, the countdown to the completion of his task reached zero, and not long after that, the wormhole manifested itself once more.

Despite the fact that the first time Sky saw the wormhole, he was terrified out of his mind, Sky was so relieved to see it againso much that he couldn't contain his happiness a d even tears fell from his eyes.

Sky experienced a quick loss of consciousness as soon as he entered the wornhole. The force exerted by the spider's pincers was simply too much for him to deal with at that moment.

Sky was unconscious throughout his journeyvthrough the wormhole, he was unaware that his body had been traveling in a circular motion through the wormhole. After being ultimately extracted from the wormhole, he was placed in the hospital bed where he had been before being taken to the training site.
