It Wasn't Even A Dare This Time

Dominic frowned. From the crowd, Vincent could hear different insults being thrown at him. "Coward!" "Bastard nobody" "worthless weakling! He can't even drink some glasses!"

Vincent clenched his fists and Melanie spoke again, "If you can't do such a simple thing then I'm breaking up with you for real. No need to have someone like you in my life if you're just going to give up in the face of troubles!"

"So she just pretended she was breaking up with me? I just knew she loved me back. Melanie can't break my heart just like that." Vincent thought to himself.

"Fine! Alright! Is that what you all want?! Yes?! Then I will give it to you! I will take the dare!" Vincent shouted determined in his anger.

One of the final years brought out the ten bottles of alcohol and set them in front of Vincent.

Vincent sat down and opened the first bottle while people kept shouting "Drink!" "Drink!" "Drink!"

When Vincent took the bottle close to his mouth, the smell penetrated his nose and he coughed.

He held his nose close and began to chug the alcohol while people around began screaming and cheering.

Vincent stopped to catch his breath. "What is that? Are you tired?" Dominic mocked.

"I'm only getting started. You are going to be beaten in your own game." Vincent said but no one heard his voice in the noise.

Vincent resumed chugging till he was done with the first bottle and he went on to the next one.

"The guy is doing it. He is more than halfway through the bottles." someone among the crowd said in disbelief.

Hearing the words of that person, Vincent pushed forward with the drinks. Dominic saw that Vincent was about to finish the dare and that too without being made a fool of.

He gritted his teeth, "There's no way I'm going to let him beat me." Dominic thought, inwardly and then looked around. He found two more bottles of alcohol and switched them with two other empty ones on the table in front of Vincent while no one was looking.

The alcohol overdose had already made Vincent very drunk. He wasn't in a state where he could count or keep in mind how many bottles of alcohol he chugged down so he kept on drinking without noticing Dominic's trickery.

Vincent was feeling dizzy and began to lose stamina by the time he took the last bottle.

He looked around himself and saw people laughing but could hardly hear anything around him.

The last bottle fell out of Vincent's hand and landed on the floor, shattering into tiny pieces.

Vincent's eyes caught sight of Dominic and then Melanie going to Dominic. Right in front of Vincent, Melanie gave Dominic a passionate kiss on the lips and it wasn't even a dare this time.

Vincent got up angrily and tried to stagger to where they were kissing since he couldn't walk straight. Vincent's vision became blurry and he started seeing double everything he set his eyes on.

He gagged multiple times and then ended up vomiting on Toby who was nearest to him and had been laughing at him.

"What the fuck man!" Toby exclaimed angrily and looked at Vincent with utter disgust.

Toby punched Vincent and Vincent's body twirled around before dropping hard on the floor.

Blood dripped out of Vincent's lips due to the punch from Toby. Still, Vincent pushed on, even in his drunk state.

Dominic saw the way Vincent was struggling to get up from the ground and he laughed while Melanie just looked irritated at the sight of Vincent who was lying in his vomit.

"Is this what a simple dare has turned you into? Pathetic rat. You tried so hard to prove yourself to people and impress your girlfriend but look where that got you." Dominic mocked.

"You are wallowing in your vomit like the stray dog that you are," Dominic added.

"I can't believe he got some of that disgusting goo on me too," Toby complained, grimacing as he looked down at his vomit-stained shirt.

"This was my favourite shirt for crying out loud man!" Toby yelled and kicked the side of Vincent who was still struggling to get up.

Vincent coughed out blood the moment Toby's kick got him and he rolled to his back on the ground.

"Cool it down, Toby. At least allow him to try to get up. It's fun watching him struggle only to fail in the end." Dominic said, his hand placed on Melanie's waist.

Melanie made sure to stay as close as possible to Dominic and hoped that what he was doing with her wasn't just for show. After all, Dominic was the kind of ATM she long wanted.

"Come on Vincent! Is that all you can do? Get up!" Dominic yelled at Vincent.

Vincent heard voices like echoes resounding in his ears but Dominic's mocking voice was the loudest.

Vincent turned over, belly to the ground, and then began struggling to get up.

Dominic got bored with watching Vincent move so slowly. Dominic pulled Melanie into his arms fully and then looked at Vincent who was still on the floor.

"Hey, Vincent!" Dominic yelled.

Vincent looked up and could tell it was Dominic and Melanie even when his vision was blurred because of the alcohol. He wasn't even certain if he was in his right mind or not.

"Is this enough inspiration for you?!" Dominic asked and then locked lips with Melanie, engaging her in a deep kiss as he squeezed her body tight.

Melanie didn't struggle but went with the flow. It seemed she never loved Vincent to begin with.

Vincent got furious and hatred consumed his heart. Out of nowhere, Vincent was able to get up on his feet and he launched himself at Dominic.

Vincent got close but his willpower was nothing compared to the weight of the alcohol in his system.

Vincent's eyes rolled back and he dropped to the ground, falling unconscious at Dominic's feet Dominic smirked as he stood over Vincent.
