Damien’s heart pounded in his chest. "What the hell? Werewolves?"
Palmer didn’t answer. He was already out of the car, eyes glowing bright red as he scouted the area for presence for more troops. Meanwhile, back at the estate... Alarms blared back at the estate. Sarah's heart leapt into her throat as she saw shadowy figures moving across the manicured lawn. Her body came still, unable to move due to fear as she witnessed silhouettes, defying gravity as they flickered across the walls and ceiling with nimble movements A cold hand clamped over Sarah's mouth, silencing her startled gasp. A chill ran down her spine as she felt the sharp edge of something pressed against her throat. "The floor would be dyed in your blood before you could let out a scream," the figure hissed, its voice a chilling whisper. Sarah's heart pounded in her chest as she struggled against the unseen assailant. "You fool!" Valen's voice echoed through the ballroom, laced with a chilling calm that belied the fury in his eyes. "A walking corpse shouldn't be making petty threats." In a flash, Valen's normally serene blue eyes turned a deep, predatory scarlet. Dark vein-like lines appeared beneath them, tracing delicate patterns across his pale skin, a clear sign that his vampire senses were fully activated. Before the shadowy figure could even register the shift, Valen moved. He was a blur of motion, a crimson streak across the polished floor. With a speed that defied human perception, he snatched Sarah away from the intruder's grasp, pulling her behind him in a protective stance. The figure stumbled back, momentarily disoriented. As it turned to face its new opponent, the dim light caught its face, revealing the creature's true nature. It was a siren, its skin pale and luminescent, its eyes glowing with an eerie blue light. A cruel smile twisted its lips as it recognized Valen. "Well, well," the siren hissed, its voice a seductive purr that held a venomous edge. " Info has it that it was just one vampire. Well, with the original gone, the outcast shouldn't be a problem." Valen's eyes narrowed. " I sympathize with your low sense of perception. You of all people should know how inferior you are compared to me given your level of achievement and nature." He drawled, his voice laced with a chilling condescension "Perhaps—" he paused, tilting his head slightly, "a demonstration is in order." The siren lunged, its movements fluid and graceful, like a predator stalking its prey. Valen countered with a speed that matched the siren's, their forms a whirlwind of motion as they clashed in the center of the ballroom. Valen, drawing on his vampire strength, landed a powerful blow that sent the siren crashing into a marble pillar. But the siren recovered quickly, its lithe body twisting and contorting to avoid Valen's next attack. It retaliated with a swift kick, aiming for Valen's chest, but he anticipated the move and vanished in a blink. The siren's eyes darted around, searching for its elusive opponent. Suddenly, Valen reappeared behind it. He lunged, tackling the siren to the ground with a force that shook the room. The battle raged on, a dance of shadows and speed, of supernatural agility and deadly precision. The siren, though skilled and cunning, was slowly being overwhelmed by Valen's relentless assault. He soon noticed he was being toyed with, like dancing on the palm of something bigger as he hasn't landed a single hit but is being dealt a great deal of damage faster than he can regenerate. " I can't let this drag on any longer. It's now or never." He lets out a silent signal, a vibration in the air, was sent, summoning its allies. A moment later, a squad of sirens, their bodies glistening with bioluminescence, burst into the room. Each carried a weapon Valen, unfazed, faced the incoming threat. He moved with the grace of a dancer, effortlessly dodging the incoming attacks. However, one of the sirens, more cunning than the rest, took advantage of a moment of distraction. With a swift motion, it drew a bow and fired an arrow, the tip glowing with a divine light. The arrow struck Valen in the chest, piercing his heart. He staggered back, a look of shock and disbelief etched on his face. "What are sirens doing with a holy weapon?" he thought to himself, his senses reeling. The world around him began to fade as he lost consciousness.

"You are going to save my daughter, alright, Dylan?" Claudia slammed her hand on the conference table, her voice shaking with a fury born of fear.Dylan faced her, his expression a tight mask of frustration. "As the leader of the hunters, it's my responsibility to risk my life for my team, but that alone isn't enough to go against those things.""What do you mean?" she demanded. He turned to the administrators, gesturing wildly with his hands. "Those creatures were created by a single orb, just by touching it. And one of them was able to solo a noble vampire and make off with the relic without much effort. No offense, guys...""None taken," Fenris replied with a shrug."He wasn't talking to you, douche," Valen sneered.Dylan ignored them, his gaze fixed on Claudia. "According to Freya, there are at least ten of them. Going there with resolve alone is outright suicide. You've just sent our only chance of getting your daughter back packing.""Are you trying to bargain for them?" Victor

The hallway echoed with a single, firm voice. "Absolutely not!"The room was a stark contrast to the verdant world outside. Fluorescent lights hummed over a long, polished table, where the community's top brass, the administrators and executives, sat in a formidable line. Opposite them stood Palmer, Valen, Fenris, Max, and Dylan, an island of outsiders."If what you're saying is true," Claudia Draxen, the Chief Administrator, said with a voice like a guillotine's blade, "doesn't that mean we risk revealing this place to them when we bring the relics together here?""This is the best place to keep them!" Dylan countered, his face a mask of frustration. "They can't reach the orbs here.""You say that, but you've already brought some of them to us," Reginald Veynar, the Chief Administrative Assistant, said, his fingers steepled on the table. "What makes you so sure there aren't more of them...more than can breathe in a place that's supposed to be deadly to their kind?""Reginald has a po

"The vessel that measly guardian created with the relics is developing exceptionally fast even after absorbing three of them," Auraeus's voice, a chilling echo, resonated in Aurora’s mind. "I wonder how he'll do when he eventually goes against you."Aurora opened her scarlet eyes, her stare just as piercing as a needle. She reclined on her throne, a posture of languid power, an elbow resting on its arm, her chin lightly propped on her hand. Her long, silky dark hair spilled around her, a midnight cascade against the rich fabric of the chair. The faint glow of a lone oil lamp traced the sharp planes of her face, revealing an unsettling blankness in her expression, a stillness that transcended mere calm."Looks like you can now share your presence across multiple places at a time," she stated, her cold voice echoing back in her own mind."A little progress, but it's better than residing in the emptiness of those relics that damned brat sealed me in," Auraeus replied with a mental purr.

At the far edge of the colossal tree, Palmer sat, taking in the gentle warmth of the breeze across his skin. His eyes gazed at the beautiful serenity of the landscape, but his mind was elsewhere, his face etched with worries. Then, faint footsteps, rustling the leaves, broke the stillness. "Beautiful view, isn't it?" A voice, soft as the wind, drifted in. The figure stood beside him, holding a basket. Palmer glanced to where the warm voice came from and saw Mrs. Enoshita standing with a straw hat on her head and a warm smile. Her long, silky black hair waved in the breeze, and her distinct Asian eyes held a deep, calming serenity. He wondered how someone like her could have endured such dark times and still retain such a genuinely healthy smile. "Hmm," he murmured, and continued to gaze at the scenes before him. "You... you're a Vampire, right?" she inquired, her gaze steady as Palmer's surprise became palpable. "I mean, your hair—it's clearly natural, but the color and texture

"During the Great battle, as Auraeus was about to be sealed by The Hero, he managed to transfer an ample portion of his power and consciousness to those closest to him in his army—the ones who stood with him at the frontline." Alistair explained, watching Garghat, who held his coffee, listening intently as he sat elegantly. "Those individual supernaturals who received from it became extraordinarily powerful. They are the ones currently referred to as nobles, myself included. Among them, the vampire faction received the greatest concentration of power, with a vampire named Marlon standing at the very top because he was closest to Auraeus at that time." "What are you getting at, Alistair?" Garghat pressed, taking a slow sip of coffee. "Unlike the other factions—especially nobles who have tasted Auraeus's power and crave more—Aurora seeks to break the seal and revive Auraeus back into this world. But she needs to perform a ritual to do so." "What ritual is that?" Garghat's brow furrowe
Chapter 67
The Mercedes Jeep halted before a large, weathered signboard that read 'Silverwood,' its arrow pointing towards a deserted town already being swallowed by nature. Buildings stood as skeletal husks, consumed by creeping vines and wild overgrowth."This is where the map leads us." Freya, the young, beautiful, and newest hunter, examined the old, brittle map, then swept her gaze across the ruins before them. "The map truly is ancient; look at this place. It's completely changed.""Careful how you tread," Collins, another hunter, warned, his gaze sharp and unwavering. "I can't sense anything here, not even animals.""It's utterly deserted," Freya murmured, her voice laced with unease. "They even abandoned their cars and everything.""They were preparing for something," Louise stated, her voice low. "I was too young to know anything then; Max wouldn't even tell me.""So, your family owns this place?" Freya asked."Yeah. Our estate is just at the end of this place," Louise confirmed. The fe
