Goodbye

Chapter four

Red maple leaves falls to the ground as almiron sits at his usual spot in the classroom near the window staring outside once again paying no attention to the class that’s going on.

Worrying about what happened the previous day as after he saw james bradwich in his car, after classes he went to go see a holy priest and what happened after that was what was stuck in his mind. As he sits there he thinks about what happened as images of the past flash in his head, he remembers.

Driving into the the church he packs the car and shuts of the engine, then exiting the car as he looks at the church building.

‘Its been a while I’ve been here.’ He says to himself while walking towards the entrance.

He enters the church and meets the priest on the altar on his knees praying as he takes a seat and waits patiently until he is done. The priest looks at him putting a smile on his face while getting up and inviting him to his office.

“Father.” He says while taking a sit

“Almiron my boy, it’s been so long.” He puts down his bible

“Its good to see you again.” says the priest

“Same here father, but I have a small issue that needs your attention.”

“Ok let me hear it.”

“How do I say this....... so much has happened to me lately, but I’ll keep it short, since yesterday I have been seeing spirits.”

“hmmm, and what do this spirits look like.?”

“Well I dont really know if their spirits but they look like dead people, rotten corpses.” Says almiron

“And has any of this spirits tried to attack you.?”

“No, I see them at first then before I can do anything their gone.”

“hmmm, ok let us pray.” He says while stretching both his hands towards almiron

He takes his both hands and they both close their eyes as they bow their heads to pray

“Almighty god we come to you here this evening.” He says

Then the priest is interrupted by the evil spiritual aura coming from almiron, he then looks closer while still holding his hands and behind him was a skull like figure.

Almiron noticed that he stopped and looks at him only to see him sweating and his eyes in fear.

“holy mary!.” He says while getting his cross and holy water.

“What’s wrong?.” He says while taking a look back, but sees nothing.

“Y-You need to leave.”

“I have some work that I need to get done with and I need to attend to other people.” The priest says while paranoid

“But what abou.” He was interrupted by the priest

“I will pray to the almighty on your behalf but you need to leave now.” The priest said to him

“Ok ok.” He says as he gets up to leave

As almiron left the room the priest felt the air lighting up and he felt a bit of ease as he sprays holy water around.

“Hmmmm.” Almiron sighed as he snaps back to the present. Looking around he realized that once again he had missed another class session.

He gets up and leaves the class with zayn as they talk about the fact that he wasn’t paying attention in class again.

Daxon couldn’t make it to class because he made up his mind the previous day to go in search of a third part-time job to raise enough money to treat his sister.

Daxon gets back home as all the job hunting he went for came to no avail. He enters the living room with a down face as he missed his classes and still couldn’t get another job. He gets up and heads towards his room but not failing to stop by and say hello to his sister.

“Hey jas.” He says while opening her room door but finds her fast asleep, he gently closes the door and heads towards his. He enters his room and heads straight to his desk as he grabs his laptop on the way, he puts on his side lamp and was about to use his computer when suddenly he stops and buries his face in the middle of his hands

“Bastard.” He says to himself

As the thought about how the demon didn’t keep to his end of the contract kept ringing in his head, he looks up straight at the wall and says.

“Am going to save you at all cost.”

He was then about to use his computer again when he noticed something unusual, he noticed that the side lamp shadow did not have the shape of the lamp, the shadow had an unusual form and the disturbing fact was that it was vibrating.

“The hell..” he says while he stretches his hands towards the lamp

Then suddenly his hand attracted the shadow of the lamp like a magnet and the side lamp no longer had a shadow.

In horror he jumps out of his chair looking surprise

“Where are you.?” He calls out thinking the demon was there

And with no reply his eyes focuses on the lamp again as it shadow had returned. Drawing the attention of him he moves closer to his desk and while doing so he noticed each time he came closer to the lamp the shadow lost its shape more and more and keeps vibrating faster, once again he stretched his hand towards it and noticed that the shadows came to him and he was the cause of it losing its shape.

“Huh.”

He stops for a while still trying to process what is happening at that moment, then he puts his hand in the light as it cast a shadow on his desk, he looks at the shadow while showing a little concentration he’s arm shadow moves over to the other hand and the hand in the light didn’t have a shadow anymore. Once again he freaks out while getting up in fear he looks around once more and calms himself while taking a sit again, he opens his laptop and searched up shadow magic on G****e and the results shocked him as at the end of the search the name argun and he decides to look deeper into it as he finds out strange things he never new about.

The next day he wakes up as he realizes that he spent almost the whole night researching about shadow magic. He sits up to an upright position while itching his eyes, then he takes a look at his phone then gets up and heads to the bathroom. He gets dressed for one of his part-time job and was ready to leave before he stopped at his sister door to say hello.

“Hey you up?, am leaving for work, theres some left over in the fridge.” He says to jasmine as he sees shes still fast asleep

He looks over to the side of her bed and sees some tissues covered with blood, he walk in to help dispose of the used tissues then he takes a glance at her.

“Hey you good?.”

He gently taps her on the arm. He taps her again and he noticed there was no movement coming from her.

“Jasmine!.”

He shakes her body a little before bringing her hands out and feeling the veins on her wrists confirming if she is dead or alive.

“Thank god.” He says to himself as he confirms her heartbeat.

Without wasting any time he pulls his phone out and calls 911.

After a while the paramedics comes in as they take jasmine to the hospital and daxon follows, they get to the hospital and after sometime daxon speaks to the doctor in charge of jasmine, he tells daxon that his sister’s condition had reached it finally stage and he needs to start the operation immediately or she stands a chance of dying.

Now he’s main problem was the fact that he didn’t have the money so he told the doctor he would go and look around for the money. He left the hospital at once in search of payment.

Daxon called his only friend at college asking him to learned him some money but unfortunately for him his friend was dead broke at that moment so he couldn’t help him, and he had no other friends and had no family members to reach out too

Then as he stood there thinking about different ways to get the money a particular name came across his mind,

‘Almiron’

He remembered that almiron was one of the richest people in that college, he knew he had to swallow his ego and ask him for help after all it’s his sister’s life on the line.

He enters a cab and heads towards the school.

Getting to his college in little time he pays off the cab driver and hops out of the car going in search of almiron.

On his way in he sights zayn talking with maya and decides to approach them, then while approaching them he noticed something unusual about zayn, he noticed that even while he was standing in the light he had no shadow and that shocked daxon because everyone around him all had a shadow apart from zayn, he found that weird but had other important issues at hand.

“Hey man.” He says while walking up to zayn

“You seen almiron around?.”

“And why do you care.?” Maya asked

“Can we talk separately?.” He says while directing the question to zayn

“Give me a moment maya.” Zayn tells maya as she gives them space to talk.

“What?..”

“I need your help.” Says daxon.

“And why would you need my help?.” Zayn asked

“My sister, shes in the ICU man and I need some cash for the doctors to operate on her.”

While Daxon was explaining a smirk appeared on zayn face like he was enjoying the show.

“Hmmm and what makes you think I would help you, I mean I don’t even know you.” He says

“C’mon man if your still annoyed about the other day at the eatery am sorry and I’ll apologise to your friend too, please just help me out.” He says while pleading

“No.” Zayn says

“Somethings just cant be broken, the pain would pass.” He says while turning around and walking away.

Daxon standing there in shock quickly snaps out of it and was about to leave and find another way to get the money then suddenly his phone rang.

‘RING!!’

“doctor am still worki.” He is interrupted by the doctor on the phone

“I’m sorry, she’s dead.” The doctor said

“Huh... w-what do you mean?..”

“I’m really sorry.”

Daxon eyes widened in surprise as he stood there shaking from the news he just received.

He gently starts walking away as tears are gushing down his eyes

“Why?”.. he asked himself

“Why does it have to be her.” He slowly walks out of the building as he’s shadow starts vibrating.

He kneels down at the entrance of the college as people work by.

‘I’ve lost everything.’
