“Holy shit! You dare raise your hands on me?” Jim gasped in shock as he staggered back from Devin's slap.
His ears were still ringing from the impact. “I'll teach you a fucking lesson!” he yelled at Devin and hurled at him, but Devin picked him up and slammed him on the ground. "Get the hell away from my son!" Sera rushed forward and helped her son, who was sitting on the ground, to his feet. The heartache in her eyes condensed into a long spear, and in the next second, she was ready to impale Devin to pieces. And in fact, she did just that with words. “You're a mother-begotten, father - a forsaken piece of trash!” “Your mom should've croaked with you in her belly!” Devin gritted his teeth. “Sera. Give me that necklace!” “Or what? What will you do about it, Devin? Beat me up too? Come on! I fucking dare you!” Sera screamed at Devin and took a step closer to him. Devin was gasping for breath. He didn't want to hit a woman, but Sera, what she was doing right now wasn't even human-like! “If you're fighting so hard for this necklace, then it must mean so much to you,” she said to Devin. “Oh, yes. You said it belonged to your mother. The miserable whore must have fucked anything with a dick to afford something like this!” Sera snapped at Devin whose heart churned at the words. “What the fuck did you just say about my mother?” Devin's voice was like a growl. Sera felt the terror shoot through her body but she didn't want to reveal it. “You bloody heard me. Or am I wrong? Weren't you a bastard child of a whore mother? Did your mother ever tell you who your father is?” She said and laughed out loud. Devin's chest heaved up and down as he listened to her, doing everything within his power not to rip her into two. “I thought you were smart Devin. Surely you knew your mother was a cheap slut. Only a trashy pussy can birth a lowlife degenerate like you!” She screamed. “You're the one with the trashy pussy here. How many men did you fuck and suck off even when you were married to your husband?” Devin retorted, and Sera froze. Devin could see her surprise. He smirked. “Your daughter told me everything. Stories about how you'd bring home different men in secret just to satisfy your lust. Looking back now, I understand why Amanda is the way she is. I guess the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree!” Devin stated. “Fucking bastard!” Sera cried out and jumped at Devin, expecting him to move away like he did earlier. But Devin stood his ground and caught her hand as she attempted to slap him. He pushed her back, and her knees gave way. Sera crashed to the ground, hitting her butt on the cold hard floor. And then Jim threw a large brick at Devin. But Devin caught the brick without even looking up! Jim gasped. “Like a mother like a son. So predictable!” Devin said with a smirk. “How did you see that coming, you freak-” Jim didn't finish the statement before Devin threw the rock back at him and broke his head! “No!” Sera screamed. “Damn it! Mom! I'm bleeding!” Jim cried as he rolled on the ground, his shirt soaked in blood. But soon, he couldn't say a word anymore because Devin's fists came raining down on him densely. He was in so much pain that he could barely breathe! “Just give him the fucking necklace mum!” Jim cried out in agony. Seeing that she has been defeated, Sera ripped the necklace off her neck and threw it at Devin. “There. Take the worthless piece of crap. I hope it chokes you if you try to wear it!” She snapped at Devin. Devin picked up the necklace without another word and walked away from them. “Don't you ever show your face here again? Do you hear me? I'll cripple you if I ever see you again!” Sera yelled as Devin walked away. From where she cuddled her son, Sera could see Devin approaching the Porsche that was parked outside. She frowned while she watched the bald bodyguard- Dreykov- open the door for Devin. “How is that fucker boarding a porshe?” Jim mumbled as his eyes gazed at the wonder. Then, Dreykov shot them a glare and they both whimpered. The Porsche zoomed off, leaving the pair perplexed. *** “Look at what the psychopath did to your brother! He attacked us for nothing!!” Sera cried out to Amanda as she stood with her in the hospital. Luther was there too. Jim was on the bed, all bandaged up, sulking like a dog. “Devin even beat me up as well!” Sera added, sobbing profusely. Amanda's heart boiled with anger. “That bastard doesn't know when to stay down, does he? I'll show him who's boss!” Amanda said and dialed Devin's number. The phone rang and Devin picked up the call. “Yes?” He said from the other side. “You shameless fool! How dare you attack my family? Do you know what the fuck you've done?-” Devin was at a loss for words. He let out a derisive laugh and didn't wait for even a second more before quickly hanging up the phone. Amanda stuttered. “Hello? Hello!! The fucker had the guts to end the call?” She scoffed. “Told you he was good for nothing!” Sera cursed. “Don't worry mum. I'll take care of this myself!” Amanda declared.

The courthouse was packed to the brim. Camera lights were flashing all around, and microphones were being shoved into faces here and there. Reporters fought for front row spots, and a lot of them ran outside, their voices were loud and chaotic as they screamed questions at Devin, who had just alighted. "Mr Stone! Did you forge the tax statements yourself?" "Is it true you used fake contracts to steal money from the government?" "Are you going to jail, Mr Stone?" "Mr Stone, are you guilty?" Devin Stone walked up the courthouse steps, refusing to answer questions while his sunglasses shielded his tired eyes. Petra walked by his side, holding his hand but she said nothing either. She felt tense, and even though Devin didn't show it, she knew that he was not comfortable. She squeezed his fingers. "You've got this, I'm here for you." She whispered. "Thank you." He said, kissing the back of her hand. Inside, the courtroom was buzzing with activity. The press wasn't al

Amanda was watching television in her house when the breaking news banner suddenly appeared. -BREAKING NEWS! LAWSUIT FILED AGAINST STONE ENTERPRISES!- A reporter suddenly appeared on the screen and started to speak. “…reliable sources say that the case could destabilise the company’s entire financial structure.” She suddenly let out a gasp, Devin was in trouble. She quickly picked up her phone and called Luther. “What is it? I can’t believe that you’re still alive!” Luther sounded irritated. “Did you see the news?” Amanda asked, biting her thumbnail. “They’re going after Devin’s company. This could be our chance to—” “Our chance to do what? You called me for that?” Luther cut her off, and she immediately felt small. “I told you I don’t want to fucking hear from you, and even when you call, you can’t call with good news? Typical.” “Luther, wait… just listen to us, we could use this—” “Use it for what? For you to screw things up again?” He snapped. “I’m done with
Chapter 180
Matt was still looking down at the message on his burner phone. He had just got one to communicate with recently, but all he had gotten was a short message that spoke volumes. -Kill Devin Stone.- His hands clenched tighter around the device as he started to tremble. Why did he have to do the dirty work? "Motherfucker!" He grunted. The message had come from the same masked man he'd met with days ago, the same one who promised him Devin's company, his power, and the best seat at the table. But this was beyond what he was actually willing to do. He was alright with maiming, framing, and destroying him, but this wasn't just ordinary sabotage. He was being asked to get his hands dirty, literally. He paced the length of his large room, keeping the lights off, with the only lights around coming in from his large compound. His friend, Ray, sat on the couch, arms crossed. Matt had told him all that was going to happen as soon as he got home days ago, and he was there when Matt recei

The manager wasn't done begging. He was sweating now, and he had both his palms joined like he was praying. "Mr Stone, please. I know this is unforgivable, but I swear we're better than this. Don't ruin us over one foolish girl's mistake." Devin didn't even look at him. His eyes stayed on Petra as she slowly sat down, her face tight and tired. "She was stressed. That's what pisses me off." "I understand, sir, I understand how you feel completely." "No, you don't!" Devin snapped at him, eyes narrowing. "You don't fucking understand what it means to bring someone out to ease their stress, and then some dumb lady in an apron opens her mouth and ruins it. You don't know what that shit feels like." "I'm sorry, you're right. But I know I've failed. Let me fix it." Devin leaned forward, both elbows on the table now. "And how exactly do you plan to do that? You going to turn back time? You got some magic wine that erases memory?" The manager stammered. "I... I c
CHAPTER 178
The waitress stared at the card in Devin’s hand in disbelief. Her mouth parted, but no sound came out. “I… I don’t believe it!” She said, eyeing Devin from head to toe. “There’s only one of that card, and it belongs to the richest man in our city! Look at you, it can’t possibly be you!” Petra got up and stared the woman down. “EXCUSE ME?” “Excuse yourself. I’m sure he stole that card! Do you even believe that he’s the owner yourself?” The waitress asked her. Petra folded her arms, clearly unimpressed. “Don’t make me slap you. Swipe the damn thing or I will call your manager myself!” “If this doesn’t work, I’ll have the police down here immediately and they don’t play with us. You will be locked up, and when the real owner sees what you’ve done, oh, you’d be as good as dead!” People we’re already watching now, drawn to the commotion “TAKE THE FUCKING CARD!” Petra said. “You’re a talkative.” The waitress cleared her throat and took the black card from him reluctant
Chapter 177
“Are you sure about this?” Petra asked as she walked next to Devin into the Italian restaurant at the edge of the city. Devin gave her a small smirk. “Yeah. I’ve been wanting to meet with you for so long to eat, but I’ve had so much on my plate, and I wasn’t even sure that you were interested in seeing me, so…” She rolled her eyes. “Yeah, you were the one that made that happen, and it’s okay, I understand it. You’re not interested.” She said as they walked in. Devin turned to her immediately and held her hands. “No, please don’t think of it that way. I was just… I was reeling from guilt and there were so many emotions in me. I’m sorry you felt that way. I didn’t mean to make you feel like that.” “Yes, you did.” Devin pulled a chair out for her. “It felt like you were trying to punish me.” He sighed as he sat down too. “No. You’re right about something, but it wasn’t you that I was trying to punish, it was myself.” “Perhaps that’s the case, but you ended up pu
