Dark Secrets of Time

Chapter 7

(BRUGHTON KINGDOM)

Still that same night, in the palace. Clouds had covered the moon, and it would be uneasy to notice Olivia who was sneaking in. She was clad in her red fitted outfit, and a red mask that covered her lower face, her hair also weaved at the ends. She was holding something in her right hand, as well as a short sword in her left.

There were guards watching the night, but they didn’t see her.

She leaped over a wall like it was nothing, then began to move briskly on a straight line alongside the wall.

When she sighted the queen’s chambers, she also noticed many guards who were outside, even at the back of the house.

There are ways of going in unnoticed, but it wouldn’t be easy.

Olivia mutters some words, then she transformed into some kind of red tornado; levitating off the ground and moving above the guards who didn’t see her.

She passed through a space now like a red smoke, till she arrived at the queen’s room

Olivia suddenly took back to her normal form, and the queen was on her bed; looks like she was asleep already.

Olivia walked towards her, and drops her sword, before raising the box over the queen’s head, but she was interrupted by the sudden open of the door; on looking back, she saw Eleanor come in quickly.

Olivia was startled and the box fell off her hand, while Eleanor grins on seeing her; if they fought here, the damage and noises would cost them both,

“You!”, Eleanor said.

Olivia picks up her sword and replies, “you should have let me do what I came here for”

Eleanor locked the door, then stretched her hands forward, before pushing them sideways, like opening a door apart.

A force field covered herself, and Olivia at the same time, and this wasn’t just some kind of force field, any sound from the inside can’t be heard outside.

Olivia knew what it was, and she hurriedly attacked Eleanor, as both began to fight. Queen Alice wasn’t asleep the whole time. She was staring at both of them, and saw that no sound came from their fierce battle.

Eleanor stretched her right hand towards Olivia: projected a kind of energy in form of a rope which was immediately tied around Olivia’s neck. Dragging her closer to herself, and grabbing Olivia’s neck in the process.

Olivia grunts and groans, before her eyes glowed red light, while Eleanor was suddenly thrusted back and lets go of Olivia.

She fell to the ground, closing her eyes and turning around in confusion like she was blind. Olivia took this opportunity to break the force field by touching it. Then walked towards Queen Alice.

“I have to do this…”, Olivia said and as she was about to touch Alice, Alice’s face turned pale as she looked sad, and stared at Olivia with a look that would make a person pity her.

Tears rolled down Alice’s cheek while Olivia took back her hand, before moving backwards; she didn’t know what to do at the moment, nor what was happening to her; why would she feel pity for her when she should be manipulating her memory.

Eleanor’s eyes were still closed, and she was now coming close to Olivia, but Olivia turns to the window and chanted some words before transforming in a red mist-like smoke, and passing through a narrow path to leave.

Eleanor’s eyes opened suddenly, and as she realized Olivia was gone, she rushed to her sister,

“Are you okay?”, she asked.

Alice nods and said to her, “She felt pity for me, and aborted the task…”

Eleanor gasps softly, she was very surprised by this, “Olivia would never do that”, she muttered to herself, while Alice smiled sinisterly.

(EMILY’S HOUSE)

That night, Emily and Judith were in Emily’s room, having a conversation, while Harry was elsewhere; probably doing something.

“What are your plans, Judith?”, Emily asked.

Judith stared for a while and sighed, before giving an answer, “I will restore my family’s lost reputation by helping this kingdom get back up when it falls”

“I know. I mean your plans with Harry”, Said Emily.

Judith smirks and replies, “We’ll train him with weapons, then tactics, knowledge as well, then magic…”

“We don’t have enough power to make him so powerful that he becomes the savior of Brughton and the doom of Hudderham…”, Emily scoffed.

“Well… yes, but someone does…”, Judith said before getting up and looking through the window, as the skies were dark.

“Who… Wayne?”, Emily asked, but Judith answered, “No… Wayne is very powerful, but I think we might need the most powerful… known to man”

“I hope you’re not thinking what I think you’re thinking”, Emily also stood up.

Judith turns to her, “We should also be prepared… I will learn from that man…”

“Is he a man or a guy?”, Emily asked.

“No one knows but he has a mature voice as the last man who saw him explained… he’s immortal as people claim”, Judith spoke confidently, “I will find him… I will”

In the forests, there was a mountain next to it; sounds of animals could be heard, and the wind was blowing intensely. The mountain had a cave in it, and drops of water splashing against rocky surface could be heard; thanks to the weird quietness In this place.

One candle was lit at the center of this cave; the only source of light in there.

Someone was seated, he was covered in a black outfit, and his face wasn’t visible; he was the person Judith was talking about. He waves his right hand to the left and the fire on the candle spreads and turns into a map hologram-like figure; glowing like fire, and it reveals a battlefield where two sides were at war against each other.

He waves his right hand to the left, and it changed to another event; evil wizards taking captivating people and ruling over them.

He exhales and cleared it while it transformed into the fire on the candle.

He walked towards the exit of the cave and on getting outside, he stretched forth his left hand, rolling it, then the wind howls, and a mist figure in form on a face appeared before him, it had holes for eyes, nose, and mouth, and was dancing to the tunes of the wind

“The message I’m about to give you… should be delivered to the little girl…”

“Lois?”, the mist asked, while the black robed person nods his head twice.
