Chapter 7

As new leads on the investigation keep resurfacing Gabrielle is caught on camera leaving the scientist's house a few minutes before the arrival of Glass. Information reveals she was a lover to Mr. Gastor a medical doctor but went missing ten years ago. She is a widow with a daughter named Neska. Her daughter is called in for questioning and she says “I believe my mother was dead even though her body was not found now she is told her mother is alive but as a vampire”. A team is sent to her house for surveillance.  Glass keeps getting more and more jealous of Zach and Lauren he makes a move to steal Zach's blood from the laboratory to sell to Gabriella so she can kill Zach. He reaches out to Gabrielle about the venue and time. Immediately after the close of work, he hurries to the venue in an uncompleted factory Glass gets there first observing the environment. Some vampires were at the scene when it was confirmed he is alone Gabriella shows up with four more men. “What I don't understand is why you will betray your colleague” Glass replies “ I am fighting for who I love” Zach does not belong here. I want him dead Gabriella says “What makes you think I can trust you? First, you are human. Did it occur to you that I can kill you and collect Zach’s blood? I can give you more than just his blood because you're not certain you will be a day walker by injecting yourself with his blood. Sammid who is one of Gabriella's men whispers to Gabrielle “I want his blood” She nods in agreement Glass approaches Gabriella hands over the blood to her and is rushed by Sammid he takes a bit at his neck Zach who has been in the scene on a top roof watching the whole scene flees the scene and was sighted by Gabriella she smiles. He heads back to Lauren's house and she is fast asleep. He lays down next to her cuddling her as he kisses her forehead.

As Zach returns to Lauren's house, he can't shake off the feeling of unease caused by the dangerous situation at the uncompleted factory. He knows he needs to protect himself and Lauren from Gabrielle and her associates.

While cuddling with Lauren, he decides to share the recent developments with her in the morning. As they wake up, he explains what happened at the factory and expresses his concerns about Gabrielle's intentions.

Lauren reassures him that they will face this threat together and come up with a plan to keep themselves safe. She contacts the authorities and shares all the information they have gathered so far, urging them to take action against Gabrielle and her vampire associates.

As the investigation intensifies, Lauren and Zach stay vigilant and cautious. They increase security measures around Lauren's house and the laboratory to protect themselves and the valuable research they have been conducting on the vampire virus.

Meanwhile, Gabrielle is determined to get her hands on Zach's blood, believing it will grant her the ability to be a day walker like him. She becomes more desperate as she learns about the progress made in finding a cure for the vampire virus. Her criminal activities escalate as she seeks to gain more power and control.

With the help of their team and the international authorities, Lauren and Zach work tirelessly to track down Gabrielle and dismantle her criminal network. They receive crucial support from Edward and other Sayia authorities, who provide valuable information and resources.

One evening, as Zach and Lauren are conducting their usual surveillance, they spot Gabrielle and her men gathering at a remote location. They carefully plan their approach, ensuring that they have backup and support from the Sayia authorities.

The final confrontation takes place in a high-stakes showdown. With adrenaline pumping through their veins, Zach and Lauren face off against Gabrielle and her dangerous crew. As they battle their way through, Zach unleashes his unique vampire abilities, he is overwhelmed by a lot of men around as Lauren is captured by Sammid from behind he takes a bite from the right side of Lauren's neck leaving her to the venom in her system as the pain excruciating pain in her blood streams this only gets Zach angry as he rages and snap Sammid neck ripping his head off his body. Edward tries to protect Lauren and take down their adversaries.

During the intense struggle, Zach manages to subdue Gabrielle, preventing her from harming anyone else. The Sayia authorities arrive just in time to arrest the remaining criminals and take them into custody. Zach rushes to help Lauren he has to turn her immediately or watch her die she is running out of time. He asks Edward to stop him when he notices she is going pale. He takes the bite at the same point for a while and stops as he succeeds in draining the venom from her system she is rushed to the hospital. After a while, Zach was informed by the Doctor that she is stable and the fetus is fine as well. Zach is a confused fetus??? Yes, she is three weeks pregnant. He enters the room Lauren is still sleeping he kisses her on the forehead and her eyes open she says “Are you okay”

Zach replies “Yes I am” smiling when were you gonna tell me you are pregnant” I was going to tell you when Gabrielle was captured I didn't want you to worry about me” How is this possible says Zach “You know you are no longer human after what just happened” I know but I feel normal it's too early to tell. “You will get thirsty, you will need to feed, your throat will hurt and water can't quench the thirst. We need to leave the hospital”. Zach steals some blood bags from the hospital as they get home he gives Lauren to try out if she will feel better. She takes it and feels much relieved.

With Gabrielle and her gang behind bars in an off-site

prison with the others. the city can finally breathe a sigh of relief. The threat of the vampire virus and the illegal trade of nuclear weapons is significantly reduced, thanks to the relentless efforts of Lauren and Zach.

With Gabrielle's capture, Neska, her daughter, is placed under protective custody and given the support she needs to rebuild her life after discovering the truth about her mother's dark past.
