Elsa's Reluctance

"I thought you were not going to come." Aiden turned to the lady who had rushed out of the company to meet him.

There was a faint blush in her eyes as she stood beside him, not saying a word.

"Well, Mr. Dominic asked me to come, and since I work for him and you've bought the company, that would mean that I would work for you." The lady smiled.

Though she was smiling, there was a hint of dissatisfaction in her eyes. After all, her thought was that Aiden was a rich second generation and even though he was dressed shabbily, she believed that it was just to trick young girls into falling into his traps.

If it was not for Dominic, she wouldn't have agreed to be his assistant. However, at the moment, she didn't fully agree and just wanted to test out the latter.

If he tried anything improper, she was going to have to tell Dominic and she was sure that he would know what to do, so she was not scared.

"What's your name?" Aiden broke the silence, turning to look at the lady.

"I'm Elsa." The lady replied.

"I'm Aiden." Aiden nodded with a smile and then turned around again, ignoring her.

Elsa was a little bit confused seeing Aiden's actions. At first, she thought that he was going to try to say that her name was beautiful and all that.

But he didn't say anything of such and just turned around as though she was a plague.

Elsa couldn't help but touch her face wondering if she had lost her charm. She wondered why Aiden was not attracted, and it looked like she was the one who had suggested that she should be his assistant in the first place.

"Humph, I see." Elsa suddenly scoffed in her heart as she realized Aiden's scheme.

He would pretend to be a tough guy so that he would catch my attention." she muttered, the disdain in her eyes growing.

"But that wouldn't work on me."

If only she knew what was going on in Aiden's head, she would have realized that she was practically blind to him.

"Do you know how to drive a car?" Aiden suddenly turned to Elsa and asked.

"Yeah, I know how to drive a car." Elsa nodded, wondering why Aiden was asking such a question.

"Good, then let's go get one." Aiden nodded and then waved his hands to flag down a taxi.

Seeing this, Elsa couldn't help but scoff again in her heart. This time, she firmly believed that Aiden was just trying to impress her and that was it.

She was going to let him buy the car but was going to reject it. She didn't want his things.

She didn't want him to make any advances towards her, so she was going to decline.

Getting into the taxi, she cast her gaze on Aiden, who seemed to be lost in his thoughts and couldn't help but scoff.

Since he was playing hard to get, then she was going to teach him a lesson. She didn't even know why Dominic would sell his company to a brat like him.

Aiden, on the other hand, had his mind running a thousand miles as he was thinking of a way to acquire evidence.

All that Dominic told him was that they had run into problems after creating a new snack, and then a lot of people died from eating the snack.

Was that the case? Could it be that there was something poisonous in the snack?

But then Dominic claimed that some of the workers in the company also ate the snack and they were all fine.

So where the heck had it gone wrong? Who was behind all of these?

If what Dominic had said was the truth, could it be that the ingredients used in making the snack were something that some set of people were allergic to?

Even if that was the case, except for severe allergies, there was not supposed to be death, and yet Dominic said that a lot of people died.

What the heck was wrong? What was he not getting right?

There was something that was hidden and he didn't know about this. But then before he could be sure about this, he was going to first have to get the formula from Dominic.

He was going to take a look himself and see what was going to happen. Was it his mistake, or were the ingredients poisonous?

He was sure about it. There was nothing else to be done apart from that.

Thinking about this, Aiden pushed the thought to a corner of his mind and began to think of who was going to help him.

The lawyer of a thing shouldn't be too hard; as long as he flashed them some money, they would be willing to do all that he wanted, but he didn't want just anyone.

He knew that some were not good and some were good, but their prices were sky-high.

Also, he has to be careful, the lawyer must not know about the company he was trying to revive.

After all, he was sure that they would know about the incident, and thus it would be difficult for them to offer their help if they knew what he wanted to do.

Aiden sighed and soon, a smile surfaced on his face. He had a friend who was a lawyer, that was a good thing.

"Sir, we've arrived." The taxi driver's voice broke the silence and the car came to a stop.
