“As narrated by your father, your mother was killed by unknown men and that same night, you were kidnapped too.” He began calmly, the room filled with the emotions of the sad narration.
“Your father was just an ordinary man then. He searched for you. Medias, posters, banners but you weren't found. No news. No words. Nothing about you. you were just an infant. A year old. Kidnapped on a cold night.” The room was quieter, kane Listened with rapt attention. “But despite all hopes of finding you shattered, your father never stopped praying for you to be safe wherever you are. He believes you're alive and you're strong because your mother delivered you at the hospital with ease so with that, he knew you're going to survive. Every day, he search for you, he cried for not being able to protect you.” James voice dropped slightly before he paused, allowing his words to sink in the silence. Kane blinked. His fist clenched at his side as his heart tightened with pain. He could only imagine the pain his father passed through while scourging the world for him. And his mother, she was killed, heartlessly. Kane could only picture the pain in her eyes while some scoundrels took her life. His stomach churned with anger. “You father prepared your room, believing you'll return to him one day.” James said. “Take me there.” Kane simply said. “Right away master.” Kane responded and led the way to the room. They ascended the staircase. The view of the living room from up was astonishing! A panoramic view that screams opulence. James opened the door of the room with the same card and gently pushed through door open. He stepped inside. Kane took a breathe observing the interior from the door before taking a step into the room. The room was nothing short of breathtaking. The gigantic bed with silver frame laid close to the wall. The bedsheet laid neatly and smoothly on it, waiting to be laid upon. Hanging on the walls of the room is another portrait but this one holds the picture of a woman. From her pointed nose and small lips which mirrored his own, Kane at one knew it was his mother. She draped a white gown in the portrait with a gentle smile on her beautiful face. The static smile on her face stirred a smile on Kane's face too. "Viviana, your mother.” James confirmed vocally. James walked to a drawer resting against the wall and gently pulled out one of the lockers. He retrieved a dossier from there. From the way he carried the book, it was obviously heavy. He walked to Kane and said. “Here is your father's legacy. His companies, business empires, assets, mansions, cars... everything was written down in your name and it all belongs to you now.” Kane took the files from him. It was slightly heavy which made him wonder about the contents of it. He flipped the first page open, the paper rattling softly in the silence. His head tilted down to the page, his eyes scanning the content on it. His eyes narrowed and he looked up, surprise flashing in his eyes. “Neura Tech?!” Kane's eyes lit with surprise. James smiled slightly and nodded. "Yes master. It belongs to your now. The monthly revenue from Neura Tech alone is just $200 million dollars.” Kane gasped. “You mean the popular Neura Tech belongs to my father? Just $200 million dollars!" His eyes widened in shock. James nodded his head again, his little smile unwavering. “It belongs to you now master.” He Said curtly. Neura Tech is a popular company in the city whose fame spread all over the world. They deal with productions of different technological products ranging from cars, smart doors, aircraft, smart phones.. they literally touch all technology and advanced assesories and devices. Kane opened another page and words caught in his throat, his eye almost popping out of its socket in shock. “Imperial reserve Bank?!” He blurted, stunned. Imperial bank is a giant private bank in the city that smaller banks affiliates with. Globulex Bank inclusive. Kane had once represented the manager in one of their monthly board meetings not knowing the monumental financial organization belongs to his father...now to him. What an irony of life! Kane flipped each pages of the documents and each realization left him stunned and shocked. The billion dollar mansions.... companies... organizations..it was all astonishing. After he finished checking the documents, James asked him politely. "When will you like to visit the companies so you'll get introduced as the new CEO, master?" Kane didn't respond. Not yet. He crossed his hands behind gently, his mind reeling with different thoughts as he walked to the window of the room. The sky spread endlessly, dotted with twinkle stars. The saying; the sky is your starting point is definitely referring to him. Ridiculed, mocked.....people threw spit to his face...call him horrible names..and his wife..Juliana cheated on him and chose his boss over him because he's poor but not anymore. He's not more the banker who falls at people's feet just to carry out petty transactions. Irony of reality. He thought Badmus Kenneth was his boss but he's merely a tiny ant that he could crush under his feet. Kane took a smooth breath and stepped away from the window, his hands still crossed at his back. His expression was calm and unreadable. James was quietly and patiently waiting to hear from his master. “Have you heard of the Invisible mighty CEO?" Kane asked and chuckled slightly, amused by his own words. James had a clue of where his master was heading to. He raised a brow “You mean you want to be invisible? Like you want to keep your identity away from the public?” He wanted to be sure. Kane smiled faintly, a gentle smile cutting at the corner of his lips. He nodded quietly. “Exactly James. I'm keeping a low profile..” As he was saying, he was walking around gently while James watched him with respect in his eyes. “..I want the world to see me as the nobody they thought I was but they'll surely face my wrath when they mess with me this time around.” “Do you want me to deal with some people for you, master? Just give me the command. I'll get it done immediately.” James said. Kane dropped his hand from his back and smiled at James, acknowledging his eagerness to serve him to his satisfaction. He shook his head lightly and said. “You don't need to worry about it James. I'll handle it. They'll know.”
