The velvet bed sheet rustled, wrinkling under her as she continued to struggle in her sleep, thrashing her body. Sweat broke out of her temple soiling the sheet.

Kane turned to her sharply, the note falling from his hand. He tensed.

Suddenly, Isadora jerked awake from the bed with a scream.

"Noooo!!!" She sprang from the bed, her chest moving up and down in an erratic rhythm, his temple clammy with sweats, her nightmare rumpled to her lap, revealing her spotless thick. She couldn't move instantly. She just stared into the emptiness, her eyes wide with panic and horror.

Kane rushed over and sat on the bed beside her, looking at her with concern on his face.

“What is the matter? Are you okay? I'll get you a glass of water.” Kane said quickly to help her feel better, his voice laced with concern.

As he stood up to go fetch a glass of water, Isadora gripped his wrist, making him stop.
